00:00Hello, there. Sunday was quite an unsettled day across the U.K., cool and cloudy outbreaks
00:05of rain pushing eastwards and quite windy too, particularly in the north and the west.
00:09All changed though into Monday as a brief ridge of high pressure moves in allowing things
00:14to settle down for those who have a bank holiday and then it turns more unsettled again across
00:19the north and the west towards the middle of the week. However, southerly winds will
00:22also import some warm air towards the southeast of the U.K. come Tuesday and Wednesday. Temperatures
00:27temporarily rising towards the mid-locally high 20s before cooling down again as we get
00:34towards the end of the week. Overnight into Monday morning staying quite cloudy with showery
00:39rain in places but becoming drier as we head through the night, particularly across central
00:43eastern parts of England, eastern Scotland and the wind starting to ease as well. Temperatures
00:48not as low compared to recent nights, generally holding up around 12 to 14 Celsius under the
00:55clear skies just about dipping into single figures. So Monday it's a mixed start, there'll
01:00be cloud across parts of Northern Ireland stretching into northern England, north Wales,
01:05some showery rain in places, elsewhere generally dry and as we move through the day the cloud
01:09will bubble up, there'll be some sunny spells but overall on Monday a drier picture compared
01:15to much of the weekend. Showers will be few and far between, most places will be dry and
01:21in the sunshine with lighter winds it will feel warmer as well. Temperatures lifting
01:25higher for many, generally the high teens to low 20s up to around 23 towards the southeast,
01:31so just feeling warmer compared to the weekend. However, it is all change into the evening
01:36time, further wet and windy weather spreads in across the northwest. Northern Ireland,
01:42north and west Scotland seeing some outbreaks of heavy rain in places, could lead to some
01:47local disruption come Tuesday morning. The winds picking up in the west as well, gales
01:52possible around Irish sea coast. Further east, generally dry night to come taking us into
01:58Tuesday morning and temperatures with southerly winds holding up in double figures once more.
02:04So a wet day ahead for parts of Scotland, Northern Ireland as this weather system just
02:08slowly pushes a little further south and eastwards, bringing rain into northwest England as well
02:14as Wales and perhaps northern coasts of Devon and Cornwall as well. To the southeast of
02:18this with southerly winds will draw in some quite warm air. In the hazy sunshine, temperatures
02:24lifting to around 25, perhaps locally 26 Celsius. Behind the rain, cooler around about 18 or
02:3119 degrees. This weather system just only slowly pushes a little further south and east
02:37into Wednesday, which means the southeast warmer still, 28 or 29 Celsius possible. Further
02:43north and west, fresher around 19 or 20 Celsius and that fresher air pushing to all areas
02:48come Thursday. If you'd like more information on the weather, where you are for the next
