00:00Hello, there. Welcome to your latest broadcast from the Met Office. It remains unsettled
00:05over the next 24 hours or so, lots of energy in our atmosphere. Low pressure in charge
00:10at the moment, giving the risk of some heavy showers and thunderstorms in places, but very
00:14hit and miss. High pressure bringing some fresher air in for a time. However, towards
00:19the middle and the end of the week, we'll see low pressure trying to move in from the
00:24near continent, perhaps introducing an increased risk of heavy rain again and some humid weather
00:29too. So back to this evening and overnight, it will be humid out there. Areas of cloud
00:35pushing northwards, the risk of some showery rain in places, some thunderstorms too, potential
00:40for some very heavy downpours developing. The Met Office warning out through the rest
00:44of the day and overnight and much of Monday as well. In between, there will be some clearer
00:50spells, but generally with a lot of cloud around, the humidity will be high, temperatures
00:55remaining in the mid to high teens for many. So it will be fairly uncomfortable for sleeping
01:00for some of us. An unsettled day ahead on Monday, areas of showery rain pushing north
01:06and eastwards through the day, some heavy downpours possible, some hail, some thunder
01:10in there too. There could be some local disruption from these showers merging into some longer
01:15spells of rain in places, but not everywhere will catch these. Some places will stay dry
01:21and there could be a few brighter breaks at times in places. Temperatures generally
01:26near average, particularly across the north and the west of the UK, high teens to low
01:3020s, still warm and humid in the south east, reaching around 25 celsius in the best of
01:35the sunshine. Into the evening time, further pulses of heavy showery rain pushing northwards,
01:41further thunderstorms potentially developing across central areas, pushing north and eastwards
01:46through the night into Tuesday, but eventually we start to see some fresher air pushing into
01:50the far west as those winds turn more to a westerly direction. So temperatures overnight
01:56generally a little lower, more like 10 to 14, possibly still 15 or 16 across the far
02:02east and south east. Showers overnight clearing into Tuesday morning, then generally turning
02:08brighter but the air is still fairly unstable. So we'll see showers pushing in most frequent
02:13across northern and western areas, some of these heavier times. Central and southeastern
02:18parts on Tuesday should be drier and brighter, some sunny spells and temperatures the high
02:23teens to low 20s looking around 23 celsius across the south east. High pressure generally
02:29staying in charge as we head into Wednesday. Here's a quick snapshot. There could still
02:34be a few showers around but most places will be dry. Temperatures again 17 to 22 celsius
02:40and then it starts to turn a little more unsettled potentially through the end of the week. If
