00:00Good afternoon. With temperatures peaking around 34 degrees, it is set to be the hottest
00:04day of the year so far. However, the heat is not being felt everywhere. We've actually
00:09had some very heavy and thundery downpours spread across Northern Ireland, much of Scotland
00:13and Northern England, also some into Wales, parts of the South West as well. Much of that
00:18rain should clear through the rest of this afternoon. There is a warning in force for
00:21the first part of this afternoon for thunderstorms though, but a drier afternoon to come. There's
00:26still a risk of some thunderstorms breaking out across eastern areas of England, so do
00:30keep an eye on the forecast if you're in these areas. But for most of us, a dry afternoon
00:34to come and a very hot one for central and eastern areas. Here, temperatures will quite
00:40widely climb into the 30s. It's going to be hotter than it was yesterday here. Temperatures
00:44as high as 34, possibly 35 degrees if we do see some really long-lived sunshine. Quite
00:50a different feel though for more northern areas. It's been a fresher start here as well.
00:55Temperatures closer to the high teens, low 20s. But with more in the way of sunshine
00:59arriving through this afternoon and into this evening, it will turn a bit warmer here than
01:03the start of the day. Tonight's going to be a fresher night, still fairly humid across
01:07eastern areas. If your homes have heated up over the past couple of days, it will probably
01:11still feel quite close overnight. For most of us though, a fresher night to come. It
01:16should stay dry through much of the night. Temperatures falling down into the low teens
01:20for most of us. But as I said, across the far southeast, still fairly humid. We're also
01:25seeing temperatures rise as the wind picks up across the south and west of the UK through
01:30tomorrow morning. That's because another weather front is arriving for Tuesday. It will bring
01:34some heavier outbreaks of rain, but in general, quite a lot of cloud to western areas and
01:39some drizzly rain. Parts of Wales, the coasts and hills in particular, will see the heaviest
01:43rain and most persistent cloud through the day. Around this area of low pressure, you
01:48can see up to the north and west, the winds will be quite strong across western areas
01:52of Scotland as well through a lot of the day. You can see gusts in excess of 40 miles per
01:58hour here. So definitely a fresher feel further north and west and generally, to be honest,
02:02into Wales, central areas of England, temperatures a good 10 degrees lower tomorrow compared
02:07to today. But still in the southeast, eastern areas of England, holding on to that heat,
02:12temperatures likely still climbing towards the higher 20s. So still a pretty hot and
02:17humid feel across these areas. But a fresher feel will slowly spread eastwards through
02:22Tuesday evening as that spell of wet weather pushes into eastern areas and it will turn
02:26much drier and brighter from the north and west. But low pressures remaining in charge
02:31generally through this week. Spells of wet weather spreading in from the west. We've
02:35got another weather front on the way for Wednesday and temperatures will remain much closer to
02:40average after a very hot start to the week. But if you'd like a full week ahead forecast,
02:44why not check out our YouTube channel and I'll see you again soon. Bye bye.
