00:00Good morning. A messy old day of weather ahead for most places, a bit cloudier and a bit cooler than it was yesterday.
00:08And for a few places, there will again be some thunderstorms rumbling away.
00:12Bit of wet weather here and there over central and eastern parts of England this morning, drifting up towards northwest England,
00:18maybe north Wales. At the same time, down to the southeast, we'll see some more showers developing through the day.
00:24Elsewhere, some heavy showers possible.
00:26Southwest England, potential for some big thunderstorms here.
00:30And again, across the west of Northern Ireland, some intense downpours are possible.
00:35MetOffice yellow warnings in place.
00:37Some local flooding from the heavy downpours as well as the risk of lightning strikes causing some disruption too.
00:43Also, scattering of showers likely over the hills and mountains across Scotland.
00:47But a good part of Scotland dry and bright with some sunshine.
00:50There will be har at times on the east coast and further south.
00:54Some parts of the east coast likely to remain pretty murky.
00:57Generally, a lot more cloud around.
00:59So where we've got the thicker cloud over the Midlands, it will be quite a bit cooler than it was on Monday.
01:04And again, on the east coast with the breeze off the sea where it stays misty, temperatures will struggle.
01:09But with some sunshine, we'll sneak up to 20 degrees or more, maybe across the east of Northern Ireland,
01:14certainly the western half of Scotland might get to 20 or 21 on the west coast.
01:18And in the south, there's a bit of brightness over 20 degrees Celsius.
01:22But generally, as I said, cloudier and a little wetter than it was yesterday.
01:26And we're going to see more cloud and rain spilling in as we go through the evening and overnight.
01:30Still for evening time, chance of some thunderstorms, particularly in the west.
01:35But then eyes turn to the east with outbreaks of rain just creeping in from the North Sea.
01:40Temperatures will hold up with a lot of cloud and outbreaks of rain around in double figures for most.
01:45So a milder night across Scotland compared to the night just gone.
01:49Eyes are out east from this area of low pressure, creeping over the North Sea, bringing cloud and rain.
01:55Some uncertainty about the position intensity of this low, but it is expected to bring some wet conditions along that east coast,
02:01especially as we go through Wednesday and into Thursday.
02:04So it may all be a little bit further west, but certainly that east coast looking very soggy.
02:09Good part of Scotland seeing some heavy outbreaks of rain during Wednesday.
02:13Even further south and west away from the low west, guys may brighten.
02:17That could spark some heavy thundery showers during the afternoon.
02:21Temperature wise. Well, again, with more cloud and outbreaks of rain, we lower once more.
02:26And again, that east coast struggling to get much above about 13 or 14 degrees.
02:30A bit of brightness may see temperatures again get up to 20 Celsius in parts of the south.
02:35But a bit of uncertainty about the middle of the week and just exactly how that low pressure develops and heads our way.
