00:00Hello there, Conor Gormley here for Sussex World. Today is June 28th and this is our
00:07Daily News Bulletin, where I run you through all the biggest news stories from across both
00:11East and West Sussex today. Former Doctor Who star Matt Smith has been spotted in West
00:17Sussex again, as filming continues for the upcoming six-part TV series, The Death of
00:21Bunny Monroe. The actor spent two days filming in Lansing, having been spotted in Eastbourne,
00:27Brighton and Shoreham-by-Sea over the last few months, and yesterday was spotted filming
00:32again on Worthing Seafront. Very exciting stuff. A swimming pool, purpose-built for
00:37babies and toddlers, is set to open in London Road, Washington, in West Sussex, not Washington
00:42DC, obviously, next month. The state-of-the-art facility has been transformed from a disused
00:49warehouse and will be managed by Bell Leisure Pools and Water Babies, which is the world's
00:53largest baby swimming school. Motorists driving through a village between Horsham and Crawley
00:59have spotted a number of strange characters by the roadside this week, but there's no
01:02cause for alarm, it's all part of Colgate Village's annual Scarecrow competition, which
01:08goes on until June 30th, when judging will finally take place. It's a much-loved yearly
01:14tradition for the village and the fate is a highlight of village life, taking place
01:18from 1pm and including a bouncy castle for kids, face-painting, a magician, a barbeque,
01:25and all proceeds are going to the Colgate Community Park restoration project. That's
01:29all from me for today, but make sure to follow us on Facebook and Ex, that's formerly Twitter,
01:36visit our website, Sussex World, and buy your local newspaper each and every week for all
01:42the latest updates across both East and West Sussex. Thank you so much for listening and
01:46I hope you have a lovely day and a better weekend.
