00:07A new parking system is being introduced at a Horsham supermarket.
00:11Shoppers visiting Sainsbury's in Worthing Road are being told that from today they can park for free for up to two hours if they spend £10 in the supermarket.
00:19Since last October, people have been able to park for free for two hours without any obligation of spending anything in Sainsbury's.
00:27Fresh proposals are being outlined to demolish a South Downs Farm building and replace it with new homes.
00:33A company known as DSC Henfield is seeking planning permission from Horsham District Council for the development of four new properties at Swains Farm in Brighton Road, Henfield.
00:43Planning approval was previously granted, but historic building specialists Manorwood say that the new proposals are more sympathetic to the nearby Grade 2 listed building, Swains Farmhouse.
00:53In a statement to the council, the agents say, quote,
01:07Swains Farm is thought to date from the 16th century.
01:10It experienced significant development between the end of the 19th century and the 1940s and had several agricultural buildings built to the west and the south of the farmhouse.
01:20A post office in Eastbourne will reopen in the town at a new premises after closing in 2023.
01:26The post office in Hampden Park is to relocate to Paper Lane on Brassey Avenue.
01:31The new branch is due to open on Tuesday, July 23rd at 1pm.
01:36The previous post office operator at 33 Rosebury Avenue, Hampden Park resigned and the branch closed at the location in June 2023.
01:44The branch will operate from 7am to 10pm seven days a week.
