Transcript
00:00Hello there, Conor Gormley here, a trainee reporter for Sussex World and this is our daily news bulletin
00:05where I run you through all of our top stories from across both East and West Sussex today.
00:10The Black Swan at Pease Pottage has reopened after an extensive £400,000 refurbishment,
00:15Sussex World can report. Owners say the new work is designed to complement the pub's original
00:19features and it adds a new colour scheme, new furniture and improved landscaping to the exterior
00:24all to add a certain new ambience to the decor I suppose you'd say.
00:29It's, see they seem really really proud of what they've accomplished and regulars have
00:33responded very well so the future is looking bright for this beloved village boozer and all
00:38the best to them. We've also got a sneak peek of Worthing's new Lidl supermarket ahead of its grand
00:43opening this summer. The exciting new pictures show the unit has been totally gutted ahead of
00:47its complete refurbishment and it's the second branch of the growing chain over in Worthing.
00:52It's set to open over in, pardon me sorry, it's set to open in August so do make sure to check
00:59out our website if you want to learn a bit more and see those pictures for yourself.
01:02In other good news, the Brickmakers Arms Owl House in Bexhill has been named pub of the year in the
01:09south east for the third year on the trot. The popular East Sussex watering hole has only been
01:13open for four years so that's very good going but it's already proven a hit with locals and the good
01:18folks at Camera have nothing but good things to say about it ever since it opened. That's all from
01:23me today but for more from Sussex World do make sure to visit our website, buy your local paper
01:28and follow us on Facebook and Twitter. Thanks very much.
