00:00 Hi, my name is Sam from Sussex World and today's top stories from around the county for Thursday,
00:06 May 30th. Two young children were taken to hospital after they were bitten by a dog at
00:10 a beach in Eastbourne. Sussex Police reported that two children were bitten in the early
00:14 hours Monday, May 27th near the Holywell Cafe in King Edward's Parade. Officers are now
00:19 opening for information and witnesses following the incident. East Sussex Fire and Rescue
00:25 has thanked the public for helping them raise over £7,000 for the firefighters' travel
00:29 charity, Recycling Clothing, in the last 12 months. Across the whole of the UK, the firefighters'
00:35 charity Clothes Recycling has generated just over £956,000, collecting over 4,700 tonnes
00:42 of clothing, diverting this away from landfill and fire stations. And finally, West Sussex
00:48 Fire and Rescue Service has appointed Matt Cook as its new Deputy Chief Fire Officer.
00:52 Matt has previously served as the Interim Deputy Chief Fire Officer at Oxfordshire Fire
00:56 and Rescue Service and will join the service later this year. His appointment comes following
