00:00Venezuela's presidential candidates signed an agreement to recognize the results of the
00:15July 28th elections.
00:21Mexican President-elect Claudia Sheinbaum announced the first six members of her cabinet.
00:32Israeli citizens demonstrate in front of Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu's residence demanding
00:39elections and a swap deal with Hamas.
00:49Hello, welcome to From the House, I am Irma Shelton from the Telesur studios in Havana,
00:54Cuba.
00:55We begin with the news.
00:56Stay with us.
00:57On Thursday, presidential candidates of Venezuela signed an agreement to recognize the results
01:04of the July 28th elections.
01:07In this sense, eight of the ten candidates committed themselves to accept and respect
01:14the results of the presidential elections of July 28th in order to maintain peace and
01:21a healthy national coexistence.
01:23Precisely, the agreement is the result of a proposal made by the President and candidate
01:30Nicolás Maduro.
01:31In this context, the President of the National Electoral Council, Elvis Amoroso, reaffirmed
01:38the respect of the electoral guarantees established in the Barbados and Caracas agreements.
01:44It should be emphasized that the extreme right candidates Edmundo González and candidate
01:49Enrique Márquez were not signatories to the agreement.
02:00In this regard, the President and candidate Nicolás Maduro affirmed that the agreement
02:05is an anti-violence pact.
02:13No to violence.
02:14No to the guarimba.
02:16This signature is an anti-guarimba signature because there are people who like to use the
02:22electoral processes to prepare for violence, to shout fraud.
02:28And today, with this signature, we have said we do not want violence.
02:34Respect for the referee.
02:35If the referee summons you, you are obliged, as a candidate, to go to listen to the referee.
02:44We continue in Venezuela, where the International Seminar on Economy Development 2024 began
02:51in Caracas.
02:52The event brings together for today's experts and global leaders to address the complexity
02:59of economy growth in a multipolar context.
03:03The seminar addresses the complexities of global economy growth and its resistance in
03:08the face of the sanctions imposed by the United States administration.
03:13The Executive Vice President, Delcy Rodríguez, pointed out that the unity of the Venezuelan
03:19people in the face of the blockade is key for economy growth in view of the exclusion
03:27of some nations of the world from the international financial system.
03:39On Thursday, the Government of Argentina responded to the remarks made on Tuesday by Volker Torg,
03:46the United Nations High Commissioner for Human Rights, in relation to the government policy
03:52led by Javier Milley.
03:56Carlos Foradori, Argentina's permanent representative to the United Nations Agency's Basis in Geneva,
04:04in response to these remarks assured that the report presented by Torg did not contain
04:11any mention or concern for the 40% of poor people left by the previous government.
04:18Foradori also accused Torg of having wanted to intervene last January in the debate of
04:25a law that was being discussed in the Congress and that, despite his concerns, received general
04:32approval in the National Congress with an opposition majority.
04:42I am surprised that the High Commissioner is so concerned about Argentina pretending
04:46to intervene last January in the debate of a law that was being discussed in the Congress,
04:51which, in spite of your concern, received the approval in general of the National Congress
04:55with an opposition majority, trust in us a little more.
04:59You should know that your report cites, wrongly by the way, a confidential instruction from
05:03the Argentine Chancellery, something unprecedented in any previous report and which violates
05:08national law.
05:09The government fully guarantees peaceful assembly and freedom of expression, but some others
05:14not so much.
05:15Note that in a recent demonstration, the protesters burned several vehicles, including a mobile
05:19of the important provincial radio station.
05:22I am fascinated by the brilliant imbalance demonstrated at the time of judging.

09:22The Rielin leaders were included in the list of so-called specially designated by nationals

11:02many routes in the northern occupied territories.

11:23Duaid was arrested during an Israel Defense Forces operation in the West Bank region of

11:32The Speaker of Parliament had been released along with other Palestinian politicians only
11:37three days earlier.
11:41In addition to Duaid, two other West Bank civilians were also arrested during the raid.
11:48In a statement, Hamas called on international organizations to release not only Duaid but

13:20the exclusion of the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps in the Canadian list of international

13:36its support for the anti-Iranian cult Mujahedin al-Qa'la, which was removed from the Canadian
13:43list of terrorist organizations by Ottawa authorities in 2012.

16:03Welcome back to Frontier in the South.
16:07In South Korea, the government announced that it would reconsider its position on supplying
16:13arms to Ukraine after Russia and North Korea signed a mutual assistance treaty in case
16:20either of them is attacked.
16:23The South Korean government condemned the agreement signed by Russia and North Korea
16:28and noted that any cooperation that directly or indirectly assists North Korea violates
16:36the Security Council resolutions.
16:38Seoul also warned that if Moscow harms South Korea's security, it will have negative
16:45impacts on their bilateral relations.
16:49In this regard, the South Korean executive informed that it will impose additional sanctions
16:56on four Russian ships, organizations and individuals involved in the transfer of arms
17:03and oil between North Korea and Russia.
17:14The government clearly highlights that any act that directly or indirectly helps North
17:18Korea to increase its military force is a violation of the UN Security Council resolution
17:24and will be sanctioned by the international community, especially Russia, which is a permanent
17:29member of the Security Council.
17:32Violating the resolution and threatening South Korea's national security by supporting North
17:36Korea will negatively affect South Korea-Russia relations.
17:44In this regard, Russian President Vladimir Putin insists that South Korea has nothing
17:50to worry about regarding a mutual defense pact that he signed while on a state visit
17:56to Pyongyang Tuesday.
17:59Speaking at the press conference at the end of another state visit to Vietnam, Putin also
18:05makes comparisons between the siege of Leningrad by the Nazis and Finnish forces in the Second
18:13World War and modern-day sanctions on North Korea.
18:31South Korea, the Republic of Korea, has nothing to worry about because our assistance in the
18:36military sphere, that is, with North Korea, in accordance with the treaty that we signed,
18:42arises only if aggression is carried out against one of the signatories of this document.
18:48As far as I know, the Republic of Korea is not planning aggression against the Democratic
18:53People's Republic of Korea, which means that there is no need to fear our cooperation.

21:24The Emergency Operations Centers of the Dominican Republic report on Thursday that six provinces
21:32remain under a green alert due to humid conditions that allow for an increase in
21:38downpours associated with the drought.
21:41The provinces continuing in green alert state are Monte Plata, La Vega, Santiago, San Pedro
21:48de Macorís, El Ceibo, and Jato Mayor.
21:52The authorities recommend to the population of these territories to refrain from crossing
21:59rivers, streams, and creeks with high volumes of water.
