00:00We'll be back in just a little bit.
00:05Will it be four up, four down for the New York Yankees this week on the road in Kansas City?
00:10Wait, did they have a day off? No, wait. No, you know, they didn't have a day off.
00:14No, anyway, honey. This is the fourth game, right?
00:19Yeah, like all the way through playing now granted.
00:22Yes, 93 degree temperatures at Kauffman.
00:26Oh, what if I told you 13 mile an hour winds are blowing out to left field here?
00:33What if I told you a pitcher on the mound who is a quality young starter is really having trouble with right-handed batters in 2024.
00:42And then I told you Aaron Judge has close to a 700 ISO power number against right-handed pitching over the past month.
00:51Giancarlo Stan, who hit one to the moon yesterday, close to a 300 ISO power number.
00:57You get the drift where we're going. Don't worry about if they're going to win the game or not for the Yankees.
01:02Baseballs will be leaving the yard today, whether they like it or not.
01:07And also from a Kansas City perspective, Nestor Cortez is a left-handed pitcher.
01:12Do you know who he struggles with? Right-handed batters where that wind is blowing out to today.
01:17Bobby Wood Jr. 462 ISO, Nelson Velasquez, 429 ISO, Freddie Fermin, 250 ISO.
01:25We should be getting runs today because the temperatures and the atmosphere tell us go here, get ready.
01:32Let's do it. I don't even know need to know how many games are left in a series or many or how many have already been played
01:39when Donnie just takes it over and talks about the wind blowing out on a warm day in KC.
01:45We're going over 10 and a half again. Yesterday's total, 10 in a hook.
01:49We saw 16 combined runs between the Yankees and the Royals.
01:53Bobby Wood Jr., by the way, two RBIs, albeit in the losing effort for Kansas City.
01:59He's going to record a ribby today. I like the over there as well.
02:03The Yankees, a road favorite to make it five wins in a row, a four-game series sweep over Kansas City.
02:10Still trying to get to that 40 win benchmark.
02:15Can Baltimore make it seven victories in a row?
02:18The end of this midweek set for the O's against the Braves as well.
02:23Baltimore, a very slight favorite at home, minus 112 against Atlanta, over under is at nine.
02:30The O's have actually been the home favorite in each of the last two games against the Braves.
02:35Atlanta has not been booked as an underdog much this year, even struggling in the last month.
02:40And by the way, we're taking a look again. Weather updates here.
02:4388 degrees at first pitch, wind blowing out to left field at Camden Yards today.
02:48That should help. But having said that, some of the matchups here aren't that great.
02:52You look at that Baltimore Warriors lineup. It's fantastic all the way through.
02:55But you still need the pitcher to help you out by throwing junk over the middle of the plate so you can crush it.
03:00Ronaldo Lopez, one of those guys I continue to bring up when he was with the White Sox, loves to fade him.
03:05He's a fly ball pitcher. That's usually bad news. Hasn't been bad news this year.
03:09Last 30 days even, 120 ice, a 120 ice on a 277, waited on base percentage.
03:14If you trust that Baltimore Orioles offense, then you'll probably just ride with Baltimore.
03:18But let's flip it over to the Atlanta Braves. Cole Irvin, the left-handed pitcher,
03:21is going to be on the mound today for the Baltimore Orioles.
03:23Very good against lefties, as typically a lot of left-handed pitchers are, but not so good.
03:28Last 80 batters he's faced from the right side, a 219 ice on a 385, waited on base percentage.
03:33Here's the issue. Two batters in this lineup that make some sense.
03:36Adam Duvall, who was terrible yesterday, but still has unbelievably good numbers against lefties.
03:40He probably still should be in your lineup. Matt Olsen, who I do believe recorded an RBI yesterday.
03:45He's a left-handed batter that actually does well against lefties.
03:48But nobody else in that lineup is doing anything.
03:50Look at the isos here. Harris, 0. Albies, 107. Ozuna, 040. Riley, 048. Darnoat, 0.
03:58Kellinick, 050. Arce, 077. This is just a product of the environment here.
04:03You can't take advantage of. It's a good ballpark to hit in.
04:06It's great temperatures. The wind's blowing out,
04:08but I don't think the Atlanta Bats can take advantage of it.
04:10So just based on that, it's probably going to be an Orioles day here.
04:14Yeah, and listen, so far Atlanta, as I said, not an underdog often.
04:18I mean very rarely at all. Just four times this year, including yesterday's matchup in Camden.
04:24And when Atlanta has been an underdog, albeit only four times,
04:28they have lost all four games outright. 0-4 as a dog straight up this year.
04:34So not Yoshinobu Yamamoto tonight in Los Angeles for the Dodgers,
04:38but at the Ravine, it is another game between LA and Texas.
04:42The Dodgers still a lofty home favorite. Minus 188.
04:45The over-under stands at eight and a half. The Dodgers scored 15 runs in game one against Texas.
04:51The Rangers responded yesterday in Corey Seager's reunion with the Los Angeles Dodgers.
04:56They get the first win of this series. What happens tonight at the Ravine?
05:01It's tough getting a handicap from a Dodgers perspective, not from their hitters,
05:04but from their pitchers. Looks like Johan Ramirez might be an opener today giving way to Grove.
05:08So it's always tough to gauge how long that opener is going to go
05:11and the effectiveness that we're going to get from Grove behind it.
05:13But also, it's not as if we're licking our chops at this Texas Rangers lineup,
05:16and thank goodness Seager came back into it. And by the way, against right-handed pitchers,
05:20which if Ramirez does open up, obviously, he'll be the righty.
05:23Seager, 714 iso power number, was asked 43 at-bats against right-handed pitching.
05:28It almost doesn't even compute how hot he's been.
05:30He's literally the only lineup, the only guy in the lineup that you can trust.
05:33Flip it over to Michael Lorenzen. Does struggle with right-handed batters.
05:37So the focus of the lineup for me will be Will Smith and Teoscar Fernandez in that 4-5 hole,
05:41but also sensational iso power numbers and weighted on-base percentages from Mookie Betts and Otani.
05:46So the first four guys in that first five guys, excuse me, for the Dodgers lineup,
05:50they should be spectacular in this game tonight. Dodgers should win this one.
05:53Just a little bit hard to handicap who's pitching, who's opening,
05:56and if even that's going to be the case. We'll find out probably a little bit later today.
06:00The rubber match there in LA. Michael Grove is listed as the probable starting pitcher now
06:05for Los Angeles, at least on the FanDuel Sportsbook.
06:08We go now to St. Louis, the Cardinals and the Pirates.
06:12The Bucco is victorious in Skeen's Day. St. Louis responds yesterday.
06:17It is a pick-em. Minus 108, both sides. Who wins in the loop?
06:22Let's take a look at the temperatures again out there in the mighty Midwest.
06:2692 degrees at first pitch. 10-mile-an-hour winds blowing out the left field.
06:30So another really good hitting environment. Mitch Keller is going to be on the mound.
06:33He's been quite good, Ben, over the past 30 days. An 078 iso,
06:36coupled with a weighted-on-base percentage of 264.
06:39It's not really anybody on that line for St. Louis that I'm looking at.
06:42If we flip it over to Pittsburgh, it's one guy I'm looking at who matches up with Lance Lynn,
06:46who is a right-handed pitcher that struggles with left-handed batters.
06:49O'Neal Cruz in that spot right in the cleanup. 237 iso, 328 weighted-on-base percentage.
06:54Maybe even a Jack Cewinski batting later in that lineup as a lefty.
06:58He has 214 iso and a weighted-on-base percentage of 340. Tough to pick which side.
07:03I'll lean for the Pittsburgh Pirates, but if I'm looking for RBI props,
07:06probably coming from a Pittsburgh Pirates perspective here.
07:09A bunch of rubber matches today in a three-game midweek set.
07:13This included between the Cardinals and the Pirates.
07:16It's blowing out near the Mighty Mo in Missouri today,
07:19both in St. Louis and Kansas City. Runs of plenty for MLB breakdown next.
07:2411 games around Major League Baseball on this Thursday card.
07:28Four of them during the afternoon hours,
07:30including in the Motor City between the Tigers and the Nationals.
07:34Minus 152, the number in favor of Detroit at Comerica Park.
07:38Nine and a half is that total.
07:41PRS, what do you like here between the Tigers and the Nats today?
07:44We do have warm weather, close to 90 degrees at first pitch.
07:47However, a 15-mile-an-hour wind blowing in from right field here in Detroit
07:50might damper some expectations. And also take a look at Patrick Corbin,
07:53one of those pitchers that you generally like to get after.
07:56Why? Because if he just can stack right-handed batters up against him,
07:59he struggles. Because you take a look at his last 30 days,
08:01a .348 ISO and a weighted-on-base percentage of .413 against right-handed batters.
08:06Here's the issue. Detroit is going to come with probably eight of nine batters
08:11that will be from the right-hand side. Say, oh, sign me up.
08:14Now, you might have to take a little bit of a leap of faith
08:16because everybody in that lineup, outside of Jake Rogers, the catcher,
08:19who bats eighth, has terrible numbers over the past month against left-handed pitching.
08:24So it's a shame you're kind of burning out that lineup by saying,
08:27all right, I'll still take them, but boy, don't be surprised
08:30if Corbin has a decent outing because these guys can't hit lefties.
08:33Take a look at Casey Mize on the opposite side here for the Detroit Tigers.
08:36He's been struggling over the past month with lefty and righty batters.
08:39But again, the issue is going to be who in that lineup can actually step up for Washington.
08:43Had some success a couple nights ago with Lane Thomas.
08:46He actually has a .205 ISO and a .340 weighted-on-base percentage
08:49against right-handed pitching over the past month.
08:51Even C.J. Abrams, who is red-hot at the plate,
08:54doesn't have great numbers against right-handed pitching over the past month.
08:57So this game should be an over,
08:59but those windy conditions and the way these batters line up against the pitchers
09:02probably has me leaning more towards the under.
09:04But some average RBI shots from the Washington Nationals, though.
09:09The Nats looking for their sixth consecutive victory.
09:11They won the final three games of a four-game set this weekend against the Braves,
09:16looking for the sweep today on the road in the Motor City.
09:19The Nationals' third-best record in the National League East,
09:22even in front of the New York Mets at this moment.
09:25But the Mets playing slightly better.
09:27They've won five of their last seven.
09:29They scored double-digit runs yesterday at home against the Miami Marlins.
09:33That's where we go up next tonight at Citi Field.
09:36Minus 200.
09:38The price for the Amazons against the Fish.
09:40Is that too strong of a number in favor of New York?
09:44Yeah, if you can't trust the Mets' lineup,
09:45what the heck are you going to actually do with the Miami Marlins' lineup at this point?
09:48Take a look at Severino on the mound.
09:49He's had a very good past month in Major League Baseball.
09:51106 batters.
09:53He's faced an 083 iso and a weighted-on-base percentage of 261.
09:57And just like that common theme in baseball today,
09:59maybe you can just take advantage of the weather conditions up at Citi Field.
10:0276 degrees at first pitch.
10:04And how about this? 13-mile-an-hour wind blowing.
10:06Dead out to center field.
10:08So you can feel the heat coming on.
10:09And if you just look at that Marlins' lineup today,
10:11Jazz Chisholm out of the leadoff hole.
10:1367 at bats.
10:14A iso power number of 215 against right-handed pitching over the past month.
10:18A low weighted-on-base percentage.
10:19But again, he's the only guy in that lineup with an iso power number
10:22that is above average.
10:23I don't know where the runs are coming from the Marlins.
10:25And it is a big price.
10:26But the only way you can trust it would still be with the New York Mets.
10:30Yeah, right now, New York, again, playing better baseball.
10:32Winners of five of their last seven.
10:34Nine games below .500, though, at Citi Field up in Queens this year.
10:39The Mets actually have a winning record away from New York,
10:42but below .500 and considerably so in their own home ballpark this season.
10:4811 games around MLB on this Thursday.
10:51It's now time to give you a best bet for a lot of action on the Diamond
10:55and maybe some action in the WNBA out of me as well.
10:58So before we say farewell and goodbye, it is time for Bye Bye Bye.
11:07What is Donny Rightside's best bet on this Thursday?
11:11Yeah, let's keep it simple.
11:11Let's go afternoon action.
11:13Cash this in before dinner.
11:14And I told you how good the temperatures are out there in Kansas City
11:17and those Yankees batters should feast.
11:18But as we said yesterday,
11:20I missed with Aaron Judge, went for two RBI,
11:22but the reason I did that is because the price point for one was ridiculous.
11:25So we didn't technically juice out yesterday,
11:27but I should have went Giancarlo Stanton.
11:28Not going to make that mistake today.
11:30You know what we're going to do?
11:31We're going to take Aaron Judge and Giancarlo Stanton each to record an RBI.
11:36Instead of paying those heavy price points on juice,
11:38we'll eliminate that and we'll take a plus 219 parlay.
11:42So it's Judge and Stanton to each get an RBI based on the factors of Marsh.
11:46Doesn't get right into batters out.
11:47These two guys are smashing right hand to pitching.
11:50Let's go there.
