00:00Alright, this is The Crossover brought to you by Abundant Life Weight Loss.
00:03They know the secrets to losing up to one pound of fat every day.
00:05Go to AbundantLifeWeightLoss.com.
00:08Having meetings in from Matt Steinmetz, Gerald Aguirre-Johnson, Mark Willard, Dan Dibley.
00:11What's up, boys?
00:12Yeah!
00:13What's up?
00:14It's a Thursday!
00:15Let's go!
00:16I mean, not only are we getting close, but we got a go shorty.
00:22It's your birthday today, because we've got Warriors basketball right here on 95.7 The
00:27Game.
00:28I don't know where this is going.
00:30When you see Mark and I come in with a little extra bounce, we love our job and I actually
00:35do enjoy talking to him 20 hours a week, but not this week.
00:40This week, we've had a couple of shorties.
00:41Go shorty!
00:42And today is another shorty because we get to enjoy the best show on television, radio.
00:49The Barclays Center.
00:50Exactly.
00:51It doesn't matter who they're playing or where they're playing.
00:53They are it right now in sports.
00:56They're the thing.
00:57This is as close as our guy, me and Grandy, Cam Johnson, is ever going to get to the Golden
01:02State Warriors.
01:03That was your guy.
01:04Tonight, Cam!
01:05Tonight.
01:06Here we go.
01:07Just a shame.
01:08Good interview with Curry yesterday.
01:09Yeah, that was awesome.
01:10Oh, thank you.
01:11He's like the Steph Curry of interviews.
01:13It's hard to...
01:14The most skilled.
01:15And last, it's your material.
01:16I mean, he's a low-key multitasker, too.
01:23He's walking the streets of New York.
01:25It was a few weeks ago, he was cooking Chinese food while it was stir-fry while we were talking
01:30to him.
01:31I love that.
01:32He's a cool guy.
01:33There are people where I would take offense to it, where it's like, dude, are you paying
01:36attention to it?
01:37Yeah, right.
01:38But not Steve.
01:39He's locked in.
01:40He's just like, yeah, I'll lock in and he'll walk the dog or yell at the dog or walk the
01:43streets of New York or cook all while we're talking to him.
01:46So, you know, we wrap that into the conversation.
01:49And even at that, I mean, to your point, he is with his wife in a cab or an Uber or whatever
01:55and he's going out for dinner and a show.
01:57But still, he does 25 minutes.
02:00It's not like, you know, guys, he tells the producers, guys, I need this to be, you know,
02:04eight to 10 because I got plans.
02:05Oh, it happens.
02:06No, but not with him.
02:07Yeah, I got you.
02:08He will, like, he'll stay stretched out even though he may have other things going on.
02:12He's no Bruce Bochy.
02:13Remember when Bruce Bochy was on his way to a show last time?
02:17Happy birthday.
02:18Yeah.
02:1937-second interview.
02:20Thanks, Boch.
02:21We'll see you later.
02:22He called you on your birthday.
02:23No, I see.
02:24No, and that's like...
02:25Did that happen?
02:26Yeah, he did.
02:27He called, didn't he?
02:28On the way to a show.
02:29No, I took it as a compliment because even though he's only on with us for 30, I think
02:32it was actually 54 seconds.
02:33If you should...
02:34Yeah, I think over a minute.
02:35Yeah, like he...
02:36I mean...
02:37No follow-up questions.
02:38Could have just said no.
02:39But he didn't.
02:40He didn't.
02:41Yeah, so...
02:42Awesome.
02:43Anyway.
02:44Yeah, no doubt.
02:45All good.
02:46Yeah.
02:47But anyway, short show because we're excited for another one of these, which Mark and I
02:49were talking in one of our various meetings today.
02:52We had so many, I can't keep track, but think about two months ago, this Warrior season
02:57was...
02:58What?
02:59It was like, they lose, they win, Steph does everything, he has no help.
03:05And then over the last, what, month now, since Jimmy's been here, not even a month, this
03:09whole thing has gone back to you have to watch every single second of everything because
03:15they're now...
03:16They're it again.
03:17Yeah, and I'm mad at Evan because he just set me up and cracked me.
03:21He doesn't even know it.
03:22I don't.
03:23But we played the curse sound in regard to Steph being the GOAT in regard to skills.
03:27And then that just went off into the GOAT conversation.
03:30And I have a GOAT starting five, but Evan was like, nah, the GOAT is that one guy.
03:36So I go, you know what?
03:38I didn't like that.
03:39But I was like, okay, I got to condense the list.
03:40But he talked about Steph and where he's at in his age and how the Warriors and he looked
03:47averaging a career low early on before the trade.
03:51And I go, you know what, Evan, because I'm drunk right now with everything Warriors.
03:55I'm like, I don't think Steph's, if he's slowing down or lost a step, it doesn't look like
04:00it to my eye.
04:01And then he goes, just in a subtle way, well, what about the first half?
04:05Yeah.
04:06I go, you little...
04:07I go bilateral knee tendinitis.
04:09I kept saying that.
04:10But now look.
04:11Well, we talked about this yesterday, actually, and there were plenty of people.
04:16And when your partner gets back from whatever this midlife crisis is or whatever he's been
04:21doing for the last week and a half, when he gets back, I want you to check in on him and
04:27the whole Steph is declining thing.
04:30Because look, it's an obvious take when people start getting older, right?
04:34Oh, father, time's undefeated.
04:35We all say, of course, everyone's going to decline.
04:39But I think it's too much of a catch-all.
04:43We do it very often with athletes when actually there's just contextual stuff going on.
04:49And we don't ever want to give credit to that.
04:51It's no different than the Niners conversations.
04:53How many of you all went, Debo's washed?
04:56I don't think Debo's washed.
04:57I think he needs new context.
04:59And now he's going to get it.
05:00He's probably going to do some pretty good stuff.
05:01And either do the commanders, obviously.
05:03Yeah, exactly.
05:04Adam Peters knows Debo pretty well and decided he wanted to go get him.
05:08So Steph's not washed.
05:09He needed a new context because of what was going on around him and the fact that three
05:14defenders were running at him at half-court.
05:17And it makes it very, very difficult.
05:19Now poof, Jimmy Butler's on the team and suddenly we can average 29 again.
05:23You're not washed.
05:25You just needed somebody to put the wash in the laundry machine.
05:28Everything.
05:29We're back.
05:30That's it.
05:31Well, no, but I do think there is something to...
05:33I don't know where the bilateral knee tendinitis went.
05:36It's not like it's...
05:37Oh, I know.
05:38It went to the needle.
05:41He got the needle.
05:42You think so?
05:43No doubt.
05:44Well, then how come he didn't get the needle, I don't know, 35 or 40 games in?
05:47Because it wasn't worth it?
05:48Well, because you were hoping that you would be able to manage it and you would hope that
05:51you could get the needle at the right time.
05:54As a man who gets cortisone every six months for my knee.
05:58Mom's just standing on her back.
05:59Right.
06:00And so when I get it in my knee, I get six weeks of, oh my God, I'm Evan Giddings.
06:05I'm in my early 30s and let's go.
06:08I can run.
06:09I can jump.
06:10I can do it all.
06:11And then after that, it gets to be a slow deterioration sensation.
06:16That's a buck.
06:17And then, you know, I'm not a pro athlete, but if I'm Steph Curry, you can't get cortisone
06:22every month or every week.
06:24It's not really good for you and your body.
06:27But if you're Steph, you get the needle and I'm not saying that he did, but I'm just guessing
06:31based on how he's gone from bilateral knee tendinitis to, oh, now we're playing back
06:36to backs and I'm playing 35 minutes.
06:39Why don't you get the needle before the knockout tournament then?
06:42Because I don't want to play in the knockout tournament.
06:45Why?
06:46Because I don't really want to be out there.
06:49I don't want to go out there and do that.
06:51What I want to do.
06:52You're not answering why.
06:53You're just saying that.
06:54It is concerning.
06:55I'm just curious.
06:56Why don't you want to be out there with us?
06:58Because I don't feel the need and I don't have the desire to go out there and shoot
07:04free throws and make baskets on the Chase Center floor.
07:07What I want to do.
07:08It's just fun with friends.
07:09I mean, that's.
07:10You know, it's also fun is going out there and meeting all the listeners that I met.
07:15As you guys are out there, dribble, dribble, shoot.
07:17I was working the crowd and meeting listeners and shaking hands and taking pictures and
07:21receiving gifts.
07:22And that to me is more fun and more fulfilling than going out there and trying to shoot free
07:27throws.
07:28Don't make it sound like we weren't doing that.
07:29Most of us.
07:30I'm not saying that.
07:31Thank you, brother.
07:32I'm telling you why I didn't want to do that and I'm telling you why and my why is not
07:37OK for you.
07:38No, I just don't.
07:39I still didn't hear it.
07:40The answer is, I don't want to.
07:42Got it.
07:43OK.
07:44I don't want to chase in front of everybody.
07:46Right.
07:47And so I've done that.
07:48I've been out there and I've done that.
07:49And that was quietly five years ago.
07:52We just had the disgrace of nursery, which just passed.
07:57It was on February 20 something.
07:59And, you know, that was something that I did.
08:02And I kind of wanted to do it because I thought at that time that I could beat Loneal in a
08:08one on one.
08:09And it was a great game.
08:10It was a terrible game.
08:11Oh, no.
08:12It was awful.
08:13It went down to the locker, man.
08:14Oh, please don't tell me.
08:15Dibs was Danny Ains diving for loose balls.
08:17I lost 11 to 5.
08:19He was bad and I was 10 times worse.
08:21And maybe that's part of the reason why I don't want to go out there.
08:24But you were heavier.
08:25You were heavier, Dibs.
08:26You weren't abundant like Dibs.
08:27Yeah, but it wouldn't matter because what I realized that day is it's over.
08:32It's over, Dibber.
08:34It's over.
08:35See, I ain't there yet.
08:36No, and neither is Mark.
08:37You'll never be there.
08:38And that's great.
08:39You'll never be there.
08:40Like, you'll never.
08:41As long as you got two legs, you'll be out there.
08:42I have a different why.
08:43Why is a good friend of mine texting me at 12.58?
08:48This is 59 minutes ago.
08:49Okay, what do we got?
08:50We're in a meeting.
08:51We're in a meeting with the bosses and we're talking it out.
08:54Boss, one boss.
08:55We don't have multiple bosses.
08:57Lucas is not our boss.
08:58The director.
08:59Yeah, he's mine.
09:00Exactly.
09:01Why do I get a text that says, can't wait to hear what you did?
09:06And I gave him the, I gave him the Iguodala.
09:08I'm like, what?
09:09What are you talking about?
09:10All right.
09:11All right.
09:12I got to tell you.
09:13And then he says, Gu says he can't believe what you did to him.
09:19You poked the bear, bro.
09:20All right.
09:21What the hell did I do?
09:22All right.
09:23All right.
09:24Here we go.
09:25Why am I catching stress?
09:27You distracted the strays.
09:28Real fast.
09:29You're listening to 95.
09:30Seven.
09:31The game KGMZ FM and H2O at San Francisco.
09:32Always live in the free Odyssey app.
09:33Switching you to power by first NorCal credit.
09:35Get them, Gu.
09:36Yeah.
09:37No, I'm not.
09:38We're back brothers.
09:39So I'm sitting in the new locale in the studio.
09:42Okay.
09:43To help the engineer.
09:44He recommended it and I'm doing it.
09:45You're on a different microphone.
09:46You no doubt about it.
09:47You're on my crossover mic right now.
09:48And you're on mine.
09:49Okay.
09:50And you guys are upset.
09:51People hear me on this one.
09:52So I watch you come into the control room and now I can see you and I go, that's my
09:58guy, Mark.
09:59Yeah.
10:00And then you just turned into OJ and USC and came right in here and I had the blinds up
10:06and you just, and it sounded like my mother when she, boy, come here and give me that.
10:11That's how you sounded when I was saying it.
10:14So we're on air and then the curtains are open because I wanted them open.
10:19And I'm like, oh, he's doing Daisy Mae on me.
10:21And then you just stormed back out and I go to heaven on air.
10:27I think he just invaded my space.
10:30But then I found out.
10:31Mid-segment too.
10:32You asked why was I over here.
10:33Ken told you because of the glare.
10:35He said the Google because of the glare.
10:38Exactly.
10:39But I went on air thinking.
10:40You know me.
10:41Was he offended I was on his mic?
10:43No.
10:44You and me in that window have history.
10:46Yes we did.
10:47And I protect you from that window.
10:48That's part of my job.
10:50I'm like, you know, I have a little bit of a problem with this.
10:57I don't.
10:58I'm one of those.
10:59Like, if you want something done right, do it yourself, people like, why the hell are
11:03they all worried about that?
11:04Well, of course there's glare.
11:05And Evan's watching you come in here like.
11:06And Evan's mad because I distracted you when I didn't think you'd get that distracted.
11:14Like just keep your focus, do your show, and I was going to come get rid of the glare.
11:21And it took me a minute after you left to have enough courage to tell him, I think I'm
11:25mad.
11:26That's how I did it.
11:27I think I'm mad.
11:28I threw in a break and Goo came in hot.
11:31I was like, well, I realized that he invaded your space, you know, in segment, didn't have
11:34a chance to defend yourself, all the rest.
11:36But immediately he was like, I can't believe he did that.
11:38I was like, well, me neither.
11:40But what what did he really do?
11:42I've offended a lot of people in my life doing a lot of things, but never before because
11:49he came to help your boy, that's what I'm just trying to, you know what I mean?
11:53The lights are bright on you, Goo.
11:55And I thought it was, I was in your mic, I'm like, it can't be that.
11:58I'm trying to give you a pair of shades, brother.
12:00The future is bright.
12:01Yeah.
12:02From 10 to 2, don't mess with the dojo.
12:03And you know what that was?
12:05An episode of Three's Company.
12:07I didn't have all the info, but I thought I did.
12:10Didn't you get the, oh, Larry was right.
12:14I'm going to let you date yourself by yourself over there, okay?
12:17No, I'm with you.
12:18I'm with you.
12:19I'm with you.
12:20I'm with you.
12:21Yeah, and you would be the Suzanne Somers.
12:22I don't get half the references you guys come in with anyway, so.
12:24Come on, knock on my door.
12:25I already lost my UNE card today.
12:26The Regal Beagle.
12:27Yeah.
12:28I lost my UNE card.
12:29The Regal Beagle.
12:30Dude, Furley was my guy, man.
12:31Mr. Furley, greater than Mr. Roper.
12:32Yeah, no doubt.
12:33We'll just leave that there.
12:34Norman Lear, right?
12:35Yep.
12:36Look at you.
12:37Evan is literally about to go to the bathroom.
12:38He's like, dude, what am I doing?
12:39And Mr. Roper is like, I don't know.
12:40I don't know.
12:41I don't know.
12:43So where we started today was actually with the 49ers, and I've just been trying to figure
12:56out what the goal is for this team this offseason.
12:58I'm not sure what you guys got coming up between now and then 3.30 when Warriors Live starts,
13:03but it's just been hard for me to kind of decipher what exactly they're planning on
13:08doing come Monday because they only got so much time to sort of begin this thing, and
13:13I just feel like we're getting conflicting messages from them right now.
13:16I don't know how you guys feel.
13:17Well, yeah, and it's an interesting question.
13:21To me, I feel like a lot of us are potentially overthinking it by trying to gain some sort
13:26of definition from the 49ers right now.
13:30We do this with teams.
13:31It's the same thing we did with the Warriors.
13:32Oh, you got two timelines.
13:34You have to pick one.
13:35There doesn't need to be a label to the offseason.
13:38Like you're either going for it or you're rebooting and you're laying back.
13:43To me, I don't think that neither of them are ever good.
13:47I don't ever want my team to be all in on one year, which I think the Niners probably
13:53— they might have fallen into that trap last year.
13:55It's why they signed Brandon Ayuk to a ridiculous contract.
13:59But at the same time, I don't think you ever go into a season going, well, no, this season's
14:04not for us.
14:05We're going to have to reboot and it's going to take a few years.
14:08The answer absolutely can be both.
14:10There is so much offseason still to come and it feels like people want some sort of definition
14:16about whether the Niners are kind of like going for it or are they going young and rebooting.
14:22And to me, the answer is both.
14:24The 49ers can absolutely be competitive this year.
14:27We have no idea what they're going to do in free agency.
14:30I define it this way.
14:31This is what I think the Niners are doing.
14:33They're going line by line with each of their employees and they're going, you make X and
14:37you weren't worth it.
14:38You're gone.
14:40And if you are, you stay.
14:42And I think that's what they're doing.
14:43And that's what 6-11 does to you.
14:46That's the way they're rebooting.
14:48But if anyone's under the impression that that means the Niners don't think they can
14:51win this year, I disagree completely.
14:54I think they're trying to save money, knowing that the Brock Purdy contract is coming.
14:58I don't disagree with what Mark is saying when you look at each employee and you say,
15:04OK, you're getting paid this and you're not worth that.
15:06And I think the Debo was the first one where you would have to give him 15 million here
15:11in about a week or two.
15:13And you didn't want to do that because he's not the same player he was.
15:16And so, you know, you tell him that in February and he says, well, then trade me.
15:20I want to be traded. OK.
15:21And we're going to trade you and you get a fifth round pick back, which is great because
15:25that fifth round pick is somebody who you're going to pay about a million dollars, whoever
15:31that player is, assuming they make the team.
15:33So that right there is a saving.
15:35And I look at other things like Aaron Banks, for example, a guard who I think is he's pretty
15:41good.
15:42He's been great.
15:43He's been not so great, but he's somebody that people want to pay and you don't want
15:48to pay what he's going to make.
15:49So he'll be gone.
15:51And you look at Mooney Ward.
15:53He's been great and he's also been not so great.
15:56He's going to get more money than you want.
15:58So he'll be gone.
15:59Dre Greenlaw, maybe he'll be gone.
16:01Hufanga, he'll probably be gone.
16:03And, you know, all these other players where if they're good and you like them, you'd love
16:07to have them.
16:08But I do think that there's a little bit of a crunch with the cap as you look at what's
16:13going to happen with Brock Purdy and the the real rat on the table brought to you by Adco
16:17Pest Control.
16:19You're paying Brandon Ayuk 30 million a year, average annual, and he can't play anymore
16:25right now because he's hurt.
16:27So I do think that part of this is a little bit of a cap crunch where you can rework deals
16:33and they will.
16:34And other guys, you just can't afford anymore because they're not as good as they were.
16:38Man, great points by both of you.
16:40And I'll just throw this in, Evan, you know, I know where you're at on this, but I want
16:44to hear it.
16:45So there used to be a saying when I was single.
16:47There's no romance without finance.
16:50You got to go to the dinner.
16:51You got to do that.
16:52OK, I get all that.
16:53Boy, so if you're telling me it's about the money, is the honey the playoffs or are you
16:58telling me they went six and 11 last year because of injury, not because they were devoid
17:03of talent in certain areas?
17:05And before you answer that, the last thing about Bosa, he's worth it.
17:08I don't think he lived up to what he was supposed to do.
17:11So in that instance, how does that conversation go?
17:14We know what you did with Debo, but when you got a guy who I think the world of that
17:19is not kind of living up to what he's supposed to do, what's that conversation like, if any?
17:24Well, if you get rid of Nick Bosa, what do you go out there and look for Nick Bosa?
17:29So if Nick Bosa is 90 percent of what you thought he was when you paid him, OK, you
17:35can trade him, but you're going to go out there and try to find another Nick Bosa.
17:39And if you look at Nick Bosa and what he is, is he the fifth best, seventh best, ninth
17:45best edge rusher guy in football?
17:49OK, wherever he is.
17:51And you're right.
17:52And I agree with you.
17:53But if you try to replace him, how do you replace him?
17:56And you know, we're going to talk about his brother today and whether or not you want
18:00to bring him in.
18:01We had a conversation.
18:02I just think that, you know, when you look at Debo, like Debo is probably the 37th best
18:08receiver in football, 24th, whatever he is, he's much more replaceable than Nick Bosa.
18:13I also think that the fan base is way more dissatisfied with Nick Bosa than the team
18:17is.
18:18Now, that's it.
18:19That's it.
18:20You're right.
18:21Do you think politics play a part in that?
18:23Maybe for a few people.
18:24I like to wear my red hat.
18:26Largely, I think football fans want to just be dumb and watch the game on weekends.
18:30So we're not really like I don't think too many people are getting into all of that.
18:34I just think that fans want sacks.
18:37And so that's it.
18:38We didn't get enough sacks.
18:40And yes, you could change the vowel and be even funnier.
18:42It's still true.
18:44But fans want sacks.
18:45And what the 49ers are doing, what a team is doing, is they're looking at the analytics
18:49of it.
18:50And football people will absolutely tell you that the right and left tackles in the game
18:55will still tell you that Nick Bosa is one of the three hardest people to go against
18:58in the game.
19:00And so I don't think the Niners look at the defensive line and think Nick's a problem.
19:03I think that they're more going to lean toward it.
19:06Nick Bosa and Steph Curry first half of this season had something in common, which is that
19:12they don't feel like there's enough around them.
19:14And if the defense is then able to focus solely on that guy, you're going to get a little
19:18bit less of that guy.
19:20And so the Niners defensive line needs a Jimmy Butler.
19:24That's what they need.
19:25And that will unlock Nick Bosa.
19:26Yeah, I mean, I think when you when you pay that much money to a player, though, and he
19:32eats that much of the cap, it's like they've tried to get him help.
19:36But you're forced to not have as much money to spend on the help.
19:40Like Nick Bosa is the help.
19:42Wow.
19:43I heard you do that segment earlier today.
19:46I was driving down the street and I'll tell you exactly what went through my head when
19:49I heard you do it.
19:50This is a very interesting segment, but I thought to myself, everybody needs help.
19:55Nobody can be the help by themselves.
19:58I just don't believe in that.
19:59I don't believe in the Jordan.
20:00I don't think there are athletes who can do things by themselves.
20:03I don't think you can be a defensive line by yourself.
20:06I get what you mean.
20:07He's making a lot of money.
20:09But I think that, again, that's my point.
20:11I think the 49ers are happier with Nick than the families.
20:14Well, I know.
20:15I agree.
20:16And I hear your point.
20:17But my point is that when you make that much money, it's not as if right now you have to
20:22do this, but it's there's less money to spend on that help.
20:25So you don't really have a choice.
20:27I mean, it's not like they can go out and get another 30 million dollar play.
20:32I mean, maybe if you want Miles Garrett, perhaps that's someone.
20:35Trey Hendrickson was just made available for trade not too long ago.
20:38Those are people that could help Nick Bosa.
20:41But then you got to take away from other positions.
20:42And I feel like one of the reasons the niners were in trouble last year is because they
20:45were so top heavy and a couple of those guys got hurt.
20:48And you saw how much depth they really had.
20:49Well, they paid Javon Hargrave to be that helper.
20:52And he played like two and a quarter games and he was unable to go and he wasn't great
20:58either.
20:59So I do think the scheme is part of it, too, where you play the wide nine, which allows
21:03Nick Bosa to be way out almost at the hash mark.
21:06And if you have no D tackles, then what's he even doing out there that's going to help
21:10you?
21:11Well, solid going to change that or because he would know that's what they ran when he
21:14was here.
21:15Yeah.
21:16They're going to run the same scheme.
21:17So he need he needs all stars in the middle to make him an all star.
21:19DJ Jones was not an all star like Armstead or Buckner like those are all those are first
21:24round picks.
21:25I like the example you just use of Myles Garrett or Trey Hendrickson.
21:29That's almost like saying Nick Bosa needs the help of another Nick Bosa.
21:32I don't think he needs that.
21:34Maybe he just needs a Joey Bosa or like I mean, it doesn't need to be another superstar.
21:40It needs to be someone else who's effective, who can who can challenge the offensive line.
21:45I just don't think there.
21:46What about with the injury history that his brother has?
21:48Are you ready to me to the point where you're not giving him a chicken or you'd roll the
21:53dice?
21:54Well, how much chicken?
21:56Well, let's say like Khalil Mack last year was like one for like a one year, 20 million
22:00dollars.
22:01And he balled out.
22:02I thought I think for like as a fan to know the actual number, I'd have to like dive further
22:10in and have someone be like, here's the cap and here's what we're doing in other spots
22:14and all that.
22:15I'm not like down on the idea of Joey Bosa.
22:18I'm not as excited about it as as maybe a lot of other people are.
22:22I think that there's too many people who are involved in the novelty of it rather than
22:26the actual effectiveness of it.
22:28I think Joey Bosa makes sense for the forty niners only if it really fits financially.
22:34But if you're going to come out and tell everybody we want cost effectiveness, I don't like it.
22:40And we want younger and we want healthy.
22:43Well, then Joey Bosa only makes sense because of his last name.
22:48Not like that.
22:49That doesn't fit what you said you're trying to do at all.
22:52Yeah, I mean, I just think that if you're looking for youth and speed, which they absolutely
22:57need, that sounds like draft picks, you know, that sounds like and they have 11 of them
23:02to use this year.
23:03But there's no guarantee that you're going to find help, or at least in the immediate
23:07that that maybe you're looking for.
23:08Like, it feels like if Joey's going to come, he has to really want to.
23:12And that means he would take a pay cut to be with his bro.
23:15Well, he's going to take a pay cut because you got you didn't make some bread.
23:17He got a huge deal with the Chargers.
23:21So he's going to take a pay cut.
23:2212 games last year.
23:23But like, are you, is Joey Bosa right now thinking, I'm going to take, I'm going to
23:29take the best offer I get?
23:32Or does he really want to be with his brother now that if he's going to take the best offer
23:37he's going to get?
23:38You ain't coming here.
23:39Probably not coming here.
23:40Okay.
23:41But if you really want to deal with your brother, a dream, and I could see that, maybe you can
23:45give me on a little discount.
23:47It would have to be a huge discount to me because of what we've talked about with the
23:51finances and you know, Brock Purdy, although the majority of that doesn't hit right away
23:56in this first year, you still are in a spot where you don't have a ton of cap room and
24:01you're going to have to guru noise, eat a lot of Debo Samuel.
24:05All of that money gets accelerated on the cap this year.
24:09That's 30 plus million that you're going to have to swallow now because you decided to
24:13deal him.
24:14No doubt.
24:15All right, boys.
24:17Uh, where's live at three 30, about an hour away, 10 and a half spread.
24:20Easy, right?
24:21Too big.
24:22Well, you would hope so.
24:23Too big.
24:24Hey, they covered 16 and a half.
24:25Not too long ago.
24:26It doesn't mean they won't cover it, but I wouldn't, I wouldn't play this one.
24:30His neighbor's asking.
24:31Yeah.
24:3210 and a half.
24:33I mean, post-Dreamon birthday and you know, end of a road trip, don't just be reactive.
24:43Oh, they beat the Knicks.
24:44So they're going to like, Oh, this one's a scheduled hangover.
24:47Take the Nets in the first half and then the Warriors probably wake up in the third.
24:52But you know, take the Nets in whatever it is.
24:54Five and a half.
24:55First half.
24:56Starting slow.
24:57Yeah.
24:58Plus, I mean, man, that Dreamon party, he turned 35 and you don't know what that's like
25:02yet, Evan, but I don't, you know, 35 is one of those ones in New York city with like fellow
25:08multi multi multi millionaires around.
25:10Anyone want to venture a guess?
25:12I just pulled it up.
25:13What's the first half number in the game?
25:14What do you want to get?
25:15I would say Warriors by four and a half.
25:16Five and a half.
25:17Keep going.
25:18Six and a half.
25:19Yeah.
25:20Warriors are laying six and a half in the first half.
25:23Sounds like Brooklyn.
25:24Take Brooklyn a couple of aspirin and call me in the morning.
25:27Okay.
25:28You're welcome.
25:29I'll text you in half.
25:30All right.
25:31I'll talk to you guys tomorrow.
25:32Right here on 95.7 The Game.
25:33Willard and Dibs coming up.
