00:00Some government agencies even intensified the campaign against the guerrilla operations of the Pogos.
00:06The details are in the national news of Kenneth Paciente of PTV Manila.
00:12The government agencies even intensified the harassment of the guerrilla Pogos
00:18or those who still operate online gaming in front of their total ban in the country
00:23according to the Presidential Anti-Organized Crime Commission or PAOC.
00:27They continue to intensify the operations to chase the individuals behind the ongoing operations of the Pogos.
00:34In fact, 2,121 individuals have already been deported from the raids they carried out until December 2024
00:43while 337 individuals remain in their Pogo custodial facility.
00:50They are awaiting such deportation and repatriation
00:54as much as we are also waiting for their legal documents, primarily their one-way travel documents, passports and or NBI clearances.
01:03The PAOC also denied that they have filed a case against some Pogo personalities
01:08in the past two years when others are already in the preliminary investigation
01:13while they are preparing to file additional cases.
01:17They are also investigating some LGUs where the guerrilla Pogo operations are often caught.
01:24Usually, this is negligence.
01:26This is a failure of their BPLO to conduct their visitorial and regulatory powers.
01:32The LGU is one of the largest, most extensive visitorial and regulatory powers.
01:40As of now, the PAOC is spending P210 million on the arrested Pogo workers.
01:46But if we add up the value of the illegal Pogo goods and properties,
01:52it is expected to reach P20 to P30 billion.
01:56Meanwhile, the Bureau of Immigration continues its action for Pogo bans in the country.
02:01According to Dana Sandoval, spokesperson of BI,
02:04out of the 33,863 Pogo workers in the Pagkor datus,
02:0924,779 of them downgraded their visas.
02:1422,609 of them left the country,
02:17but 11,254 remain here in the Philippines.
02:22But following their forced separation operation from last month until now, February,
02:28this resulted in the arrest of 518 individuals,
02:32who were also ordered to be deported.
02:34Most of the Pogo operations now, the illegal Pogo operations, are in smaller groups.
02:40In gated communities, like condominiums, residences,
02:47those that are not easily accessible by people.
02:50In the face of the arrest of many individuals,
02:53the facilities where the arrested Pogo workers will remain are said to be in danger.
02:57In the current custodial facility, the capacity is only 100.
03:02Even now, it is being supported by the authorities.
03:05I am not at liberty to divulge yet,
03:08but we are expecting a new big holding facility for these foreign nationals.
03:15BI is also currently monitoring the individuals who recruit Filipinos
03:20to work abroad under the promise of becoming customer service representatives for BPO companies.
03:26But when it comes to that, they will work in scam hubs.
03:30They are hurt if they cannot reach the quota of those who are being scammed.
03:36And at the same time, they are being required to be part of the syndicate.
03:40Because of that, they are having a hard time asking for help from the law enforcement of the country where they are.
03:49Because technically, they are already members of the syndicate because they are with the scammers.
03:55And they are getting their passports.
03:58According to BI 118, Filipinos have already been victims of this kind of modus.
04:02From PTV Manila, Kenneth Paciente, Balitang Pambansan.
