00:00The Department of Social Welfare and Development, or the DSWD, launched its latest initiative,
00:07Apoko Kwento ni Lolo't Lola, Gabay ng Kabataan, on Thursday at the Haven for the Elderly in Tanay, Rizal.
00:15According to the DSWD, the program aims to strengthen the connection between the elderly and the youth
00:23by sharing stories, wisdom, and values.
00:26The agency also announced plans to expand the program nationwide in collaboration with local government units.
00:34Aside from storytelling, the program features an interactive workshop called Legacy Labs,
00:41where grandparents and young participants engage in activities to have meaningful exchanges.
00:48It provides an opportunity for our youth to interact and learn from their grandparents
00:58who have important knowledge, wisdom, and good values.
