00:00We're gonna examine the looks for tonight's show.
00:03Can't we?
00:06Oh my God.
00:07Hey Vogue, it's Sabrina,
00:08and we're here at the Short and Sweet Tour in Philadelphia,
00:12which is a very special show
00:13because it's where I was born.
00:14It's my hometown.
00:16So I'm gonna show you some of our looks.
00:18Let's go.
00:18So tonight is going to be a very special night.
00:21It's gonna be a very special night.
00:22We're gonna be doing a lot of different things.
00:24We're gonna be doing a lot of different things.
00:26We're gonna be doing a lot of different things.
00:28So tonight is going to be a very special show.
00:31We're debuting some new variations of things.
00:34And yeah, it's just like such a special time
00:37every time I get to play Philly.
00:39This is Jared.
00:40Jared just has such an amazing understanding
00:43of the idea I have in my head
00:44and how to elevate it times a thousand.
00:46The structure I like on my body
00:48and the shapes that I love for my body,
00:49the colors that I feel are really complimentary.
00:52She has such a good idea of who she is
00:55in the best way, in an amazing way.
00:58We started working on tour looks summer,
01:02I think like July after Coachella.
01:05Yeah, like we have so much time for this.
01:07But it actually, it came together.
01:10I think that was a perfect amount of time.
01:13I really started to think about
01:14what am I gonna be able to last in on stage?
01:17What is going to look really great
01:20from the people that are all the way in the nosebleeds
01:24to the person that's in the front row?
01:26This was my first time doing wardrobe changes
01:28on tour, truthfully.
01:30Also the nice thing is that very early on
01:32you were like, I want all the looks
01:33to be exactly the same for each act,
01:36but just change colors throughout the shows.
01:38The way we change it up is through colors
01:40and details and accessories
01:41and little things here and there.
01:43So that way I always know what I'm getting into every night,
01:46but the audience can feel like
01:48they're seeing something new consistently.
01:50At the end of the day,
01:51I have to just be so comfortable in the outfits
01:53and if I'm not, the performance is two out of 10.
01:56So first comes comfort level,
01:59then comes what can we do for the girls,
02:02and then comes how can we round this out
02:05and make this feel so unique?
02:06Maybe it's flipping order.
02:07Maybe it's the second and then the third is for the girls.
02:10I feel like for the girls it's the lyrics and the tights
02:12and the little shoes, the little Easter eggs.
02:16Act one, she's coming out of a bathtub.
02:19Naturally.
02:20Yes, of course, doesn't know that the show's happening,
02:22is in a towel.
02:24And the vibe is like, oh my God, I have nothing to wear.
02:27And you open it, look amazing.
02:28Have something to wear.
02:30So the towel was a...
02:32The towel was a thing.
02:33We found an old reference
02:34of someone doing it with a jacket.
02:35Yeah, yeah, yeah.
02:36And she basically reveals the jacket
02:38and inside the jacket it's the same color as the dress.
02:41So then once we started to create
02:43the introduction for the show,
02:45I really wanted to be in a towel,
02:47but I was like, oh, that means I gotta be naked under there.
02:49I don't wanna be naked.
02:50It's a lot of work.
02:51Then we thought about doing a strapless corseted body suit
02:55to hide, you know.
02:56And then the towel is the reveal of the show
02:58and it makes it fun every night
02:59for people to see what color I'm gonna come out in.
03:02I think the towel was the only outfit we had
03:04for a long time.
03:05Yeah.
03:06That's not wrong.
03:08The corseted outfits are a little bit harder to dance in
03:10because there's a stiffness to it,
03:12but my waist is non-existent, so we love her.
03:14And then midway through the first song
03:16puts a baby doll dress on.
03:18And I remember being so excited when I was like,
03:21I'm gonna get to wear a baby doll on stage
03:22because it feels like pajamas.
03:24Like, it's so comfortable.
03:25So when I throw that on over the corset,
03:27I have no insecurities, no thoughts about anything
03:31because I'm just so comfortable in those little dresses.
03:33I mean, baby doll, that was like a motif
03:37that I feel like has been here throughout the whole album.
03:39So we started with SNL.
03:41I think it was the first true baby doll.
03:43For a performance, yeah.
03:44Yeah, for a dress that we did.
03:46Bridger Bardot, such good baby dolls.
03:48In like the 60s, she's a great reference
03:50for baby dolls that we were looking at.
03:52And it's kind of like, I mean, you know better than me,
03:55but Girlie's getting ready.
03:56It's like grease in the bedroom
03:57and all the girls are getting ready.
03:58I think it was really inspired by Bye Bye Birdie
04:01and she's like dancing around her room.
04:03And I think like stuff like that felt very,
04:06it felt very beneficial to the set.
04:08Act one is really set in the main
04:10kind of living room, living space.
04:12And so this like getting ready for this party
04:15is kind of happening.
04:16It's like right before sunset,
04:17like our main screen for the show
04:19is a window pretty consistently.
04:21And so you start to see the colors change
04:23as it gets later and later.
04:25And the whole show takes us through one night.
04:28It's inspired by Playboy After Dark,
04:31but it's Sabrina After Dark.
04:34Act two is obviously like the cocktail hour
04:37and it's where things are starting to heat up.
04:38Everyone's like a little tipsy, not too crazy,
04:41but like, you know, the band starts
04:42to get a little more jazzy.
04:43Our renditions and arrangements change.
04:46But then the next outfit is like not corseted.
04:49That's the one where I'm doing the bulk,
04:51I would say, of like the movement in the show
04:53is in the second act.
04:54So having the catsuit in that act
04:56has been really helpful for movement.
04:58We were looking at Marilyn Monroe
04:59wears a good amount of catsuits.
05:01There's one from There's No Business Like Show Business.
05:05It's black with a teal sash
05:07and she's in a little dancer heel and like.
05:09We tried the sash.
05:10That didn't go well.
05:11Even like I was always really inspired
05:13by like Audrey Hepburn in Funny Face
05:15because of how classic and minimal
05:17and how much she's moving in that movie.
05:19And you can really see her movements
05:20because of the black and it just looks so sleek.
05:23It was always really exciting
05:24that it could be black and snatched
05:26and then you added the gloves and little details
05:29and that's what's made it feel kind of more unique to me.
05:33My changes are just a little under two minutes.
05:35They're pretty fast,
05:36but that's why I also try to make the visuals
05:38very meaningful in between
05:41so that wardrobe changes don't feel so like
05:45technically within the first look,
05:46there's two looks
05:47because you have the corset without the baby doll,
05:49then we put the baby doll on.
05:50Second look, we have the feather reveal where we have.
05:53There's like a feather that's snapped onto the catsuit
05:56that you do a twirl.
05:58Do a twirl and it gets pulled off every night
06:00and then we rotate those feather colors.
06:03And then in the third act,
06:06we really wanted to do this skirt reveal,
06:09but I was like, there ain't no way I can sing
06:13more than one song in this long skirt
06:15because it's so damn heavy.
06:16No one knows this, they're so heavy.
06:18They're so heavy.
06:19And that one is like ABBA, I feel like inspired.
06:23We went to the ABBA show, the ABBA voyage show in London.
06:26There was this one fabric that one of the girls was wearing.
06:30It was so gorgeous and it was like liquidy
06:32and it just moved and it was a hologram.
06:34I was like, I need that goddamn outfit.
06:36Like it's so beautiful, but it wasn't real.
06:38So I was just like, we need to do our own version of this.
06:43It's all consistent.
06:44So act one is all done by Victoria's Secret.
06:46Act two is all done by Patu.
06:48And then act three is all Victor Saint-Sernin.
06:51But we have like a few shows where it feels like
06:54the teams are a really, really big part of that state
06:57and like really important to them.
06:59I just always love to show love to those teams.
07:01I'm really, really grateful that for this show,
07:03it feels like I don't have to stress about,
07:06you know, what's going on and off me.
07:08I could just think about my performance
07:09and being in the moment and the songs that I'm singing.
07:18This is our first girl for tonight.
07:19You know this, but I'm going to tell you again.
07:21Yeah, wait, let me know.
07:21Like, what am I wearing tonight?
07:23You're going to be wearing this.
07:24It's red.
07:26Super crucial information.
07:28It's actually, it's the first time I'm seeing
07:30the red version of this look and it's so beautiful.
07:33Go Phillies.
07:34I really want people like know that this is a reference
07:36to like my hometown.
07:38I love that the tights have little kiss marks on them.
07:41Little bedazzled kisses.
07:43Usually we have lyrics on the tights right around here
07:47and they kind of look like a tattoo on my leg,
07:49which is really cool.
07:50But tonight we opted for the kiss so it could match.
07:53Oh yes, these are our, well, the infamous.
07:58You'll be wearing these.
07:59I will be wearing these.
08:00And by the way, every night.
08:02We actually have more.
08:03We do?
08:04Different words.
08:05Oh wait, what else do we have?
08:06We'll find out.
08:08The nice thing about these ones is these are bedazzled
08:11and most character shoes are not bedazzled.
08:15This is act two.
08:16Tonight we'll wear the white.
08:18We're still deciding the bow color.
08:20We're going to try it on.
08:21It could be white, it could be red.
08:22Yeah, red feathers.
08:23Red?
08:24Could be nice.
08:26Red could be nice.
08:27Surprise.
08:28This we put on for the conversation.
08:30Conversation pit.
08:32Jinx.
08:33I like it because it feels more like a sleepover.
08:35It does.
08:36Act two, she goes into a conversation pit
08:37and all the friends come and it's like campfire-y songs.
08:40Yeah, so it's just chill.
08:41We're just chilling on our robes.
08:44And then act three, would you like to pick it up?
08:45Yeah.
08:46That's the mini skirt.
08:47You do that one, I'll do this one.
08:48So first, which is crazy,
08:50the fact that I'm wearing nine articles of clothing.
08:54But we have the top and we have the mini skirt
08:57and then we put on the large skirt over the mini skirt.
09:01And that way, once we pull this little
09:05contraption, then this just comes off.
09:10And I'm seduced by whoever is in front of me
09:14before I sing Juno.
09:16And then the boots change color hearts.
09:19And sometimes they're not filled in
09:21and sometimes they are filled in.
09:23They're crazy.
09:24This is just the most, like,
09:28I was gonna say beautiful.
09:29I was gonna say uncomfortable.
09:29No, it's the most gorgeous sparkle
09:31I've ever seen in my life.
09:33So especially when we have it in different colors,
09:35it's just like always so beautiful
09:36to see it with the visuals.
09:38And this is the jersey.
09:40Just for the end.
09:41Yeah.
09:43Fitting.
09:44No.
09:45Yeah, it's very cute.
09:46Might need to be shorter.
09:47It's going to be.
09:48Okay.
09:49It's too long.
09:49It's like, it's pretty long.
09:51This, this goes on first.
09:53I mean, we have to try it on.
09:54It is, you've never tried this on before.
09:56I've never tried this on.
09:56We gotta make sure it fits.
09:57So that's actually important.
09:58Okay.
10:00I shall go.
10:03Be right back.
10:04Okay.
10:05First look revealed.
10:09Go Phillies.
10:11Okay, let's go sing.
10:14Mwah.
