00:00Hey, what's up, Vogue?
00:05This is Tinashe, and I'm going to walk you through my travel skincare and my everyday
00:10on-the-go look.
00:11The first thing I'm going to do is a little cleanser, this much on the skin.
00:14My skincare routine has definitely evolved over the years.
00:17I'm not going to lie.
00:18I've always just kind of had really good skin.
00:21Like, thanks, Mom and Dad.
00:23So I really didn't try for a lot of my life.
00:25I'd say I didn't really develop a skincare routine until I was, like, 25.
00:30So first we're going to do this little baby serum.
00:33Isn't she so cute?
00:34A few on my forehead, a few right here.
00:39The reason why I kind of started doing a skincare routine is just because, you know, I'm not
00:43getting any younger.
00:44We want to make sure that we prevent wrinkles, that we stay moisturized.
00:50Next up, we have another serum.
00:51This one is a little vitamin C.
00:58Last step for the skincare routine is this little moisturizer.
01:03Again, like a finger of moisturizer is enough.
01:11Let's move on to the makeup.
01:12Okay, so this is the foundation that I use.
01:14It's L'Oreal True Match.
01:16I feel like I don't need a lot of heavy coverage, so this one is pretty sheer.
01:21And it matches really nicely.
01:28I did a lot of acting when I was young, a lot of just stage productions, different things
01:32like that.
01:33One show I remember in particular, I did this show for Cartoon Network.
01:37It was called Adam Jimmy's Head.
01:39And in that show, that was probably the first time that the makeup artist did, like, fun
01:44makeup on me.
01:45I think that was around the time where I first started experimenting with doing my makeup
01:48myself.
01:49A lot of tips just from observing.
01:51When I became a music artist, I basically had to do my own makeup 99% of the time.
01:57I was doing my own makeup for photo shoots, for all sorts of things, you know?
02:02Even today, I do my makeup for my shows most of the time.
02:07Next thing, I'm going to do a little bit of concealer.
02:09I like this one from Urban Decay.
02:13The best piece of advice that I've received from someone in the music industry was actually
02:25from Madonna, the queen herself.
02:28I was at a party.
02:29I think I was a little lit.
02:30I was like, Madonna, do you have any advice for me?
02:33She said, never compare yourself to anyone and don't take shit from anyone.
02:38And I think that's really great advice.
02:40So I try to live by that every day.
02:43The next thing that I'm going to do is go in with a little contour.
02:46So I've got my bronzer right here, put some here on my forehead, cheekbones, ooh, that's
02:56a little much.
02:57We'll go back and blend her out.
02:59Sometimes I feel like I just need some shadow to kind of pull this area together.
03:11Boom.
03:12So yeah, that's it.
03:13That's my contour.
03:14So I have a really simple brow routine.
03:16I just use one pencil.
03:17This is Little Chanel.
03:23The front of my brows are way thicker than the back of my brows, so it's really kind
03:26of just defining this line here, through there, boom, boom, through there.
03:33I kind of have like a hole in my eyebrow right here for some reason.
03:37I'm pretty loyal to my few items that I love, but I will get some tips from the girlies
03:44on TikTok.
03:45Shout out to the talk, made Nasty such a success.
03:49So you want to know actually a fun fact of how I wrote that song.
03:52So I got this necklace made, it says Nasty, for Christmas, because I kind of have this
03:57like nickname persona in my mind that I'm like Nasty Nashe.
04:00So I get this made, and I'm like driving to the studio one day, and then all of a sudden
04:03I start thinking, hmm, what should I write a song about today?
04:06I know, I should write about this necklace that I just got made, so then, you know, it
04:09makes sense.
04:10And I literally just went in the studio that day and wrote a song called Nasty, like off
04:14the top of my head.
04:15I'm using this blush.
04:16This is like my favorite color.
04:18It's like kind of peachy.
04:19It's warm.
04:21I may be blush blind.
04:22I'm like one of those people that like wears so much fucking blush, but I stand by her.
04:28I think she just looks so good, and I just look so healthy and awake and alive.
04:36I also like to put a tiny bit, like right here, got to get the not, okay, cute.
04:41So the album's coming very soon.
04:42I'm so excited about it.
04:43I've been working on it for a long time, but you know, it's got a variety of songs that
04:47I think people are really going to love.
04:50So the last thing that I pretty much do is a little bit of mascara.
04:55I think the best makeup advice that I've ever received is that it starts with skincare,
05:01and it starts with moisture.
05:02So I feel like when you look healthy and your skin looks moist, like that's when your makeup
05:06looks the best.
05:07I also have like a little water spray whenever I feel like it's not looking like as good
05:11as it could look.
05:12Like, I'll just give it a spritz, and I'm like, oh, we need some more.
05:14We need some more dew in there, you know?
05:17Get me dewier.
05:18I do like a little mascara on my bottom lashes.
05:20That's cute, too.
05:24The biggest difference between this and my stage makeup is I really don't do much of
05:27an eye day-to-day.
05:28Like, I really like the natural, like clean eye look, but when I'm on stage, I put on
05:32like a thick lash.
05:34I put on like sometimes colorful eyeshadow, sometimes like a glitter eyeshadow.
05:38Like I really play with my makeup when it comes to stage.
05:42And then other than that, I keep it real simple.
05:45Okay, last step.
05:46I have a few different steps for this one because I like to, you know, blend the colors.
05:50I've got two lip liners because, you know, you need your like outer line, and then you
05:55gotta like kind of blend it in.
05:56So first, we start at this guy.
06:05Blend it a little bit.
06:07I overline only the tiniest bit right there.
06:13The next step is this pencil, which kind of just like makes this liner a little less intense.
06:21Kind of go over it a little bit.
06:26I love an early 2000s Y2K lip.
06:31I can't help it.
06:32I grew up with those.
06:35Being my references, I've got three lipsticks.
06:39So first is like my main coat.
06:43This is just general coverage.
06:44This is MAC.
06:45It's also very matte, so I like to put this.
06:48This is YSL.
06:51Adds a little bit of moisture so my lips don't feel too dry.
06:54And the last thing I want to do is brighten up right in the middle.
06:57So then I use Butter Gloss.
07:00I think if someone really wants to match my freak makeup wise, they need to use at least
07:04three lip products, but like five is ideal.
07:08Because like look at that.
07:09That's like perfect.
07:11And then if we really want to get glossy, like that depends on the day.
07:14That depends on the mood.
07:15But like this would be my gloss of choice.
07:19It's got a little lip plumper in there.
07:20I like that little, I like the zing.
07:25Voila.
07:27Instead of a setting spray, I kind of use this Spritz SPF 50 on top.
07:33Gotta get the chest.
07:34Gotta get the neck.
07:36Oh yeah.
07:37And then the very last thing we have a fragrance.
07:39This is from Glossier.
07:40I actually really love this scent.
07:41Every time I wear this scent, men are like, oh my God, you smell so good.
07:45You heard it here first.
07:48You heard it here first.
07:49So this is the final look.
07:50I'm ready for a nice chill day.
07:52Gotta get a lot of stuff done.
07:53Thank you so much for watching.
07:54I love you, Vogue.
