00:00 [BIRDS CHIRPING]
00:02 [MUSIC PLAYING]
00:28 I started riding pretty much before I can remember.
00:32 I was probably two when I first sat on a horse,
00:34 and maybe four when I took my first lesson.
00:38 I know what horse I first rode.
00:39 Her name was Sweet Pea.
00:41 The horse lived two doors up from me
00:43 and would come down to our house.
00:44 And I'd get on, and I just remember loving it.
00:48 And then from that moment on, I was hooked.
00:50 I don't know.
00:50 I don't think there's something I can pinpoint.
00:52 I think that, honestly, you either love it
00:55 or you might not understand it.
00:57 And I think I just was one of those people that
00:59 just really loved it.
01:02 I think it's studied and widely known
01:03 that there's very therapeutic aspects to horses in general.
01:07 I'd say it's very calming.
01:09 It's definitely a form of exercise.
01:11 It's also a really nice way of getting yourself outside.
01:15 But I think for me specifically, it's
01:17 like something I did in my childhood
01:18 that I loved so much.
01:20 As an adult now, coming back to it is almost like nostalgic.
01:25 Doing it almost gives me a sense of feeling like I'm a kid again.
01:29 But yeah, I think that there's so many therapeutic aspects
01:31 to it.
01:32 Just like a walk would for some people.
01:34 Some people, if they're struggling with an answer
01:37 or trying to find resolution in something in their life,
01:41 I think a lot of people like to go for a walk.
01:43 For me, it's like I run to my horses.
01:45 There's something so energetically
01:50 majestic about horses.
01:52 And the fact that they allow you into their presence
01:54 the way they do, I think, is also really cool.
01:57 It's so weird because I feel like for me,
01:59 it's been such a big part of my life.
02:01 So naturally and organically, it's
02:03 like hard to put words to it in a way.
02:05 It's just something you got to feel.
02:06 [MUSIC PLAYING]
02:10 Hi, buddy.
02:21 Hi, buddy.
02:23 Say hi to Vogue.
02:25 Say hi to Vogue.
02:27 This is Arizona, my cowboy.
02:33 [LAUGHS]
02:34 You got a mouthful of grass, dude.
02:38 You have too much.
02:39 It's not possible.
02:45 We gave him grass, and he'll go to town.
02:47 He'll stay here all day.
02:49 We're just like a family.
02:50 We'll stay here all day.
02:52 We're just going to go for a ride around these hills
02:54 to find some pretty grass.
02:58 It just rained a lot, so we've gotten a lot of green.
03:02 This isn't usually this green, so we're really lucky.
03:05 [MUSIC PLAYING]
03:09 [FOOTSTEPS]
03:38 The biggest thing is comfort with a horse,
03:40 especially one that you own.
03:44 I found him in Arizona, hence his name.
03:46 And from the moment I rode him, I just
03:47 remember feeling extremely comfortable.
03:49 And I knew he was the one for me the second I sat on him.
03:52 [MUSIC PLAYING]
03:55 He's doing really well.
04:01 I wasn't sure if he was going to be scared of the crew,
04:03 but he's actually chilling.
04:04 You'd think you were a movie star.
04:07 But you're not a movie star.
04:08 [MUSIC PLAYING]
04:12 I do very casual, just chill riding on him.
04:16 We ride around bareback all day long.
04:18 I'll throw a Western saddle on him.
04:20 I feel the most free when I'm with him.
04:21 [MUSIC PLAYING]
04:25 [FOOTSTEPS]
04:28 There's an aspect to riding that is talking.
04:46 And they do understand.
04:47 So I mean, talking about riding and all that versus like,
04:52 when we're alone, he's the only person I can talk to.
04:54 So--
04:55 [MUSIC PLAYING]
04:59 Boy.
05:07 Especially with Arizona, if I ever
05:17 feel overwhelmed or super anxious,
05:19 which is most of the time, I usually
05:22 like to run out here and go for a ride.
05:24 And again, I think nature is a huge part of that.
05:27 I think just being outside--
05:30 as cheesy as it sounds, the wind through my hair,
05:32 like it does-- it is.
05:33 There's something so special about it.
05:35 [MUSIC PLAYING]
05:38 [FOOTSTEPS]
05:42 When I'm with Arizona, I'm full cowgirl.
05:45 Like, I live both worlds for sure.
05:47 Like, I have my bougie horse girl life.
05:49 And then I have my life with Arizona,
05:52 which is very laid back.
05:54 I'm like, no makeup, just chilling, backwards hat.
05:58 I have a full country playlist that I play when I'm with him.
06:01 I just fully dive into my experience with him.
06:03 I do think that in a past life, I was like a hardcore cowgirl,
06:06 because I just love the lifestyle so much.
06:08 [MUSIC PLAYING]
06:12 I play "Repted Redemption" all the time, by the way.
06:16 It's my favorite video game ever.
06:18 [MUSIC PLAYING]
06:21 [FOOTSTEPS]
06:25 [WATER SPLASHING]
06:29 I think that I'm definitely someone
06:33 who aspires to live a really simple life one day.
06:36 I realize I don't have that now.
06:38 I'm grateful for what I have now,
06:40 and I'm happy about that still.
06:41 And I enjoy every moment, but I think
06:43 that I enjoy the simple things.
06:44 [MUSIC PLAYING]
06:48 [HORSE NEIGHING]
06:50 Absolutely, horses are incredibly grounding.
06:53 And that experience for me is incredibly grounding.
06:56 [MUSIC PLAYING]
06:59 [FOOTSTEPS]
07:03 [WATER SPLASHING]
07:06 The ride was great.
07:10 The ride was perfect.
07:11 Yeah, I think I'm definitely really happy I got it in.
07:13 I'm happy that the weather was beautiful, and it feels good.
07:17 It's been a little while.
07:18 I think this is his first of many shoots.
07:20 Once people get a look at him, I think the offers
07:23 are going to start pouring in.
07:24 Goodbye, Vogue.
07:25 Thank you for having us, and Arizona will be back anytime.
07:30 Come on.
