00:00Let's go, we gotta go, we gotta go, we gotta go.
00:02I feel like that's an iconic thing we're witnessing right now.
00:19So I'm getting ready for my first Met Gala.
00:22And I'm being dressed by Carolina Herrera.
00:26Wes Gordon designed my dress.
00:29It's a beautiful dress. I'm very excited.
00:31The day has come. We're almost ready.
00:33So we're fitting until the wee hours in the morning
00:36because we're waiting for the final dress to be done
00:39and we finally got to see the magic on.
00:41And when she put on the cape last night, it was just so breathtaking.
00:45She's so nice. She's so fun.
00:49I was a huge fan before, and I'm going to leave this experience an even bigger fan.
00:53She arrived yesterday, and it's been a whirlwind.
00:56Okay, I don't know, earrings?
00:58Like a star?
00:59It's too much.
01:00Maybe not, okay.
01:01The shoes, they dyed them, they came out the wrong color.
01:03So they're like emergency re-dyeing everything
01:05just to make sure we get the perfect monochromatic look.
01:09For the look tonight, we love the texture on the painting,
01:13Birth of Venus, which is like whimsical, soft waves,
01:18but also very Shakira.
01:20We don't want to lose the essence.
01:22I'm supposed to make my lips bigger.
01:26I'm waiting. I'm waiting.
01:29Today, this gala has a lot to do with female empowerment,
01:32female strength, female resilience, and female beauty.
01:37So today, I feel like a rose, because that's what the designer intended.
01:45So the dress itself is a super clean, architectural column dress on her body
01:51as the stem, and then surrounding her by the blossom of the rose.
01:55It was asked me what color I wanted to be in,
01:58and I pictured myself in red.
02:00It's kind of the color of Shakira.
02:02I mean, red is passion.
02:04It's strength.
02:06It's this kind of Latin fire.
02:08It's, you know, all things fabulous and glamorous that she embodies.
02:18And then for jewelry, we're working with this beautiful 1965 brooch
02:23from Cartier Paris.
02:25That is from their Patrimoine collection.
02:28And it has this beautiful Burmese ruby in the center
02:31and kind of baguette diamonds around.
02:33I will break your jewelry if you don't break my dress.
02:35No, no, no. We need to.
02:39But now we need to go so people can get pictures up in here.
02:41Let's go. Let's go.
02:43I need to see the luggage.
02:45No, don't, don't.
02:51Okay!
02:59Am I getting in the car with this?
03:01We're standing the whole way.
03:02Let's go.
03:03We gotta go, we gotta go, we gotta go.
03:11No, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no
03:41.
