00:00Oh my gosh, Rihanna, I have the craziest story!
00:06Hi Vogue, this is Rosé and this is my life and looks so far. Okay, this was my first fashion
00:16week out in New York, it was the first time I came out here and I remember being like so
00:22like starstruck with the city and so mesmerized. I think I had never been to fashion week before
00:28that so it was just the whole experience was so much fun and I was there with Jisoo which was
00:33great because I was with my other member and I remember being really really excited to be there.
00:40So this was the first week out of the two weeks that we performed for Coachella,
00:45that's the first look. I know people love the second look which is like the sparkly look,
00:49to be honest this was my personal favorite so I've always wanted to talk about this one.
00:54I remember when we did the fitting I was like so excited because it was like oh my god it
00:58seems so Coachella. We were surprised that they had even invited us to perform in the first
01:02place, we've never seen that happen before in history and so I was definitely really really
01:08worried but seeing that many people dance and sing and vibe to our song and just they look like
01:16they were having the best time, I will never be able to forget that moment. I think the outfit
01:21really helped because I felt confident in that one. Should I move on? This is my first album cover
01:27for On The Ground and Gone. This was the album shoot and I had received the creative concept
01:36for it like a few days before. I remember looking at the album concept being really confused as to
01:41why they set something like you know something that would that they would like set up for like
01:46Blackpink like a really big production like it was very dark and like strong and I was like it
01:52doesn't seem truthful to me. So I remember I called the photographer like two nights before
01:58and I was like this doesn't seem right and so it was like panic, everyone was like panicking.
02:05I was like it just has to be seem a little more personal. I remember we like ended up shooting at
02:09like this set that they had built like a little home and I brought my like my puppy Hank and then
02:15we had this shot and we felt like it was perfect. This was during the video shoot of my first video
02:23On The Ground. It was so cold this day. We had to pretend we were like in this big
02:29field of flowers. I had to act like I was enjoying it. It was so cold. I have a harness on inside, they
02:37like lifted me up and everything. It was quite an experience. I didn't actually get to
02:41meet any of the fans when when my music was out back then. I only got to meet them like way after
02:48Covid kind of ended and I remember a lot of people like saying these things and I was like wow
02:55people like really did like it and I felt really like I was like oh my god I'm so happy people
03:01loved it. This was the first Vogue cover I did for Australia. It was like a big moment for me
03:08because I grew up in Australia. We'd go like grocery shopping and there'd always be like the
03:12magazine aisle and I remember always like looking at the magazine I'll be like wow these celebrities
03:18and so just to have myself be on the cover of Vogue Australia that meant a lot to me. I remember
03:25back then like when I had left Australia everyone was like where are you going and I was like I
03:30didn't know how to explain it because maybe nowadays if like I'm becoming a trainee in Korea
03:35they'd be like oh my god you're gonna be a K-pop you know everybody knows what it is and it's so
03:39popular but back then it was like what are you doing? It's fun to see like how big K-pop has
03:45grown ever since then because like back then I remember like me and a few friends who knew about
03:49it would just like listen to it privately but we we knew nobody would really understand it. I'm still
03:55shocked to this day and to see so many other K-pop artists do so well and in June 2022 I was invited
04:02to be on the digital cover of Vogue that was guest edited by Baz Luhrmann. Baz Luhrmann is a director
04:08that I have admired for years. I remember as a trainee I loved Moulin Rouge! I watched that so
04:16many times. Me even dreaming of becoming like a singer and a performer. That movie had a lot to
04:22do with it because I just admire like Nicole Kidman being the spotlight. The fact that Baz Luhrmann
04:29had reached out to do this editorial I was like yes please. I'm so excited and I was so excited
04:35that he was like a fellow Australian as well. My first Met this was a crazy moment. I'd grown up
04:42like seeing people go to the Met and it was such a like a Hollywood thing. I'm so glad I went with
04:47Anthony and Saint Laurent. They obviously did such a great job at dressing me. Have I ever told anyone
04:54about... I don't think I have. Rihanna and ASAP Rocky. I saw them inside but it's not just I saw them.
05:04These people come and they asked me they were like Rosie we need to take some short form
05:09videos and pictures and suddenly somebody comes to me and they're like um Rosé we're so sorry
05:15um can we just can you just wait like 10 minutes because we need to shoot Rihanna and I was like
05:20yeah no of course please take all the time you need and in a second Rihanna comes in here like
05:26she was wearing this big like black robe thingy and then ASAP Rocky walks in and I'm just sitting
05:32behind the camera watching this all happen and I was like what is happening? Am I even allowed to
05:38be here? One of the security was like they're like you're a fan. I'm like who isn't? He was like do
05:47you want me to try get her to like you know do you want to say hi and I was like not at all.
05:51I was like don't you dare and then surprisingly she doesn't go straight to the door she comes
05:55around the camera walking past me and I don't know I just like stand up I remember like a queen and
05:59so she's like she is queen. The guy goes do you know Blackpink? Do you know Blackpink Rosé?
06:06And she literally turns around grabs both my hands like this and I'm like what is happening?
06:14And she's like I know you. You guys are doing so well. Keep up the good job and she gave me like
06:20the biggest hug. I didn't know what to say. I was just like thank you so much. How crazy is that?
06:27I remember being sad washing my hands. Next look. Yay! One of my favorite moments in New York and I
06:34think I had just gotten that belt. I think that was Aaliyah and the pants I think is Saint Laurent
06:39or it was Kate. Oh it's Kate. I got the top right and the bag was Saint Laurent and that's the belt
06:47is Saint Laurent. I can see the shoes is Adidas. Back then I was kind of it was when I was still
06:52shocked I was like why is there paparazzi? I'm like nobody. I'd love to someday live here for
06:58for a few weeks. I would love to try that out. I think it'd be so much fun if I could ever do that.
07:04So this was LA. The LA show. We like the shoelaces on these Dr. Martens. I think these are Rick
07:09Irwin collaboration ones. That top wouldn't stay up and so we were like I was like how about we
07:15use like shoelace something that's similar to the shoes and then tie it back up. Tour was long
07:22but it was a lot of fun for sure. We'd always make sure that everyone like sits well together
07:28because we all have such different styles and wants and needs and so we try to balance it out.
07:34This is headlining Coachella. Custom Mugler. It is insane thinking about it that they invited us to
07:42headline it but also like Blackpink worked so hard so I'm like really proud of us. The hanok
07:47that was in our do-do-do-do video when we were setting up the stage we wanted something that
07:55stood out and something that obviously represented our culture. It has to be big. It has to be bold
08:00in the center of the whole thing. It looked crazy. It looked great. Gotta move on. This was also New
08:06York. We have a lot of New York moments for the Rimowa 125th anniversary exhibition. This was
08:11Alex Perry and the whole thing was brown. You know what is that I don't know if I could should say
08:17that. I didn't love my hair color. I didn't notice it then but it was so dark and then I noticed it
08:24after. I was like why did that become so dark? I wish my hair was a bit more blonde then.
08:30This was when we were invited to Buckingham Palace. Blackpink was honored with an MBE for
08:37environmental sustainability the day after this and so that's why we were invited to the dinner
08:43event the night before. I remember we were like we laughed so much in the car we're like this is
08:48crazy but we were really glad that we had each other because it was a cute moment. I think that's
08:55one of my favorite moments of Blackpink and I remember saying to the girls I want I wish every
09:00event was like this. I want to go to every single one of my events with you girls because it was
09:05funny. It was fun. We knew how to make have fun with it but then obviously we were very honored.
09:12I have the funniest backstory to this one as well. Next time I go to this Vanity Fair's Oscars party
09:17I am definitely going to ask who was attending. I had no idea. I thought I'd do the carpet, walk out
09:24or possibly have my team around me. Apparently not. I get to the door. Nobody's allowed to go in. It's just
09:29me and then they kind of left me in this huge room full of celebrities. I do not know anyone here
09:38and I'm walking towards the crowd getting social anxiety. So if this was like the group of people
09:43I kind of like sat on a couch like right outside of it. I just prayed and prayed that somebody that
09:49that like I knew would walk by. They didn't. It was like five minutes, 10 minutes. Not even joking.
09:56And so like I ran and hid behind this plant. I see like famous people looking at me being like oh
10:01poor girl. I can see it. It's like it says poor girl on their face. I'm like please just don't
10:06look at me. I'm fine. A friend was coming. It was Charlotte Lawrence. She was like how long are you
10:12gonna take? She's like I'm gonna be there in like five to ten minutes. She finally gets there and she
10:17helps me around and but it was the worst 20 minutes of my entire life but I survived it
10:23and then we went to an after party. It was fun. That's a fun story too. So Charlotte and I are
10:29we're in the bathroom at the after party and we're like okay we made it. We're here alive. I was like
10:34should I wear these like glasses or should I wear the sunglasses? Like tell me what looks better. So
10:38I was like I'm gonna have to wear the glasses otherwise I'm gonna be blind. I put them on. I was
10:41like what do you think? We were like discussing and somebody like somebody walks out of the bathroom
10:45and she's like I don't know what you're talking about but take it off. Somebody says this and we
10:48look back and it's Jennifer Lawrence and then she looks at me and she's like oh my god take it off. Take
10:53it off like as in take the shades off and put it she's like just don't talk to my husband in it.
11:00Next look. This is for Blackpink. The world tour movie premiere in Korea and we were all
11:06back in Korea to celebrate our eighth year anniversary which is huge for us. All moments
11:12with all four of us the whole group it's it's always a moment and it's always the best moments.
11:17Now that I think about it the Buckingham Palace was one of my favorite memories. That was fun. I
11:23like when we get together nowadays because I feel like we've grown up. We have all the experiences
11:29built in us and then we also have our separate moments so that when we come together we're like
11:33we bond. We bond so much and you look back on live and you're like you're my sister. These three
11:40are the only people who really understand the kind of journey like I've been through and we
11:45actually relate. No one else has the the exact same journey. Yes we definitely have a group chat. Oh
11:51we have like a little emoji. I named it what I named it that but it's like this um you know
11:57the emoji with four four girls. It's like a family emoji. Nowadays Jisoo like always goes who's in
12:04Korea? Where's everyone in the world? And everyone chimes in. She's the unnie which is the oldest in
12:10the group. She takes care of us and it's really sweet and then like Lisa says funny things the
12:17most. I'm in charge of reactions. Oh my god laughing and yeah my group chat's pretty cute.
12:25This is the album cover. I called it Rosie because my friends and family call me Rosie. I think
12:31everyone else calls me Rosé but if you have my friends just like call me Rosie. It is an album
12:36that kind of describes me in a bit more detail um and my personality and who I am my past four years
12:43of my life and living through my 20s and so I just I hope everyone anyone who listens to this album
12:50would feel that much closer to me. There are 12 songs in the album.
12:53We may we may do a deluxe. I want a video for every single one of them. I can imagine a video
12:59for every one of them so I mean if you guys are showing the like love for a specific song then
13:06maybe. 3AM was one of the first few picks and that's always been my favorite but then ever
13:11since then so many songs were added. Call at the End is the most recent one so like for a minute
13:17it was called The End and I have this other song for the deluxe and that was like my favorite.
13:21I think I played 3AM to to Lisa once yeah. She loved it. She was like Rosie you know I love
13:29these kind of songs like Lisa and I have always kind of like growing up we like these like mellow
13:33songs as well. She was like I want to hear a full album in your voice and I was like thank you so
13:37much you're so sweet. I looked at this group band picture and I was like I wonder what it would feel
13:43like if all those bandmates were me because I feel like that's what I'm doing right now. I come
13:48from a group so usually like we have I take care of this as that person takes care of that and that
13:53member like we're a group but then this is just from start to finish me. I just thought that just
13:59makes so much sense. It's just like a representation of what this album is. They're all me and it's
14:04a whole album about Rosie. These are the Rosies.
14:14Love Rosie. Thank you so much Vogue and my number ones and this has been my looks my life and this
14:23is this has been my life. This has been my life. This has been my life and looks. Thank you so much
14:32and until next time, take care. I'm seeing the top camera.
