00:00It's here, we're unboxing this.
00:02Good day, you beautiful people.
00:13Welcome to Issa Does Tech, where we do tech in your life, in style.
00:17In today's video, we're unboxing and checking out the Samsung Galaxy Watch 4.
00:20This pink beauty just came in and I'm pretty stoked to test it out as I wait for my pink
00:25Z Flip 3.
00:27That's still coming.
00:28So in this video, we're going to be unboxing it, seeing what this thing can do and just
00:31how it fits.
00:32Let's go.
00:33Pretty excited about this one.
00:34I have the Galaxy Watch 4 in pink.
00:38We have that Galaxy Watch 4 branding on the side.
00:41Some details.
00:42So this has Bluetooth, Wi-Fi, GPS, and this is the 40 millimeter version with a 20 millimeter
00:48standard strap.
00:49I like that on the back here, you can sort of measure your wrist.
00:52So the maximum is 65 millimeters, minimum is 45 millimeters.
00:56I think my wrist will do okay.
01:03Ooh, that's so cute.
01:05So we have the watch.
01:07Let's set that aside and see what else is in the box.
01:09Watch lang?
01:10What's going on here?
01:11Is it just the watch?
01:16Oh, okay.
01:17Ta-da!
01:18This is the first time I'm actually unboxing a Samsung watch.
01:24So I thought it was here, but it's under here.
01:28Quick start guide, charging port.
01:31That is it.
01:34So we have the watch here and it's looking very, very good.
01:39Straps are silicone.
01:40It's a light pink slash almost cream color.
01:46That's a sleek watch and even the sides here are rose gold.
01:50Details on the watch strap are also rose gold.
01:53I like that.
01:54So like we saw earlier, this is a 20 millimeter strap and these are interchangeable.
01:59And those are the sensors on the back there, two buttons on the side as well.
02:04Right.
02:05Let's set this baby up.
02:06In the meantime, a montage.
02:08Setting up the watch was relatively easy.
02:24Once you power it on, your Samsung phone will detect that there's a watch, tap to connect
02:30and you're basically good to go.
02:33All I really needed to do was sign up to my accounts and then wait for it to boot up.
02:38You also have the option to restore from an old phone and you're all set.
02:45Here we go.
02:46Everything is connected and now you can see your battery levels.
02:49From here, you can change your watch faces.
02:52Ooh, there's an AR emoji watch face.
02:56That's cute.
02:57And you can make your own character.
02:59There is also, and I'm super excited about this, Bitmoji watch faces.
03:04If you've watched any of my previous Fitbit videos, you'd know that I love this watch
03:09face.
03:10So I'm super stoked to see it on a Samsung wearable.
03:13I mean, we have a lot of other choices here, but we'll check that out later.
03:17You have apps on here, so you have app settings as well.
03:21And then you have tiles, so you can reorder the tiles on your watch.
03:26And then what we have here, your quick panel can be customized as well.
03:30From here, you can also do your watch settings, find my watch tips, and then you have your
03:37Google Play Store.
03:38And if you tap up here, it'll show you all the wearables that you have connected.
03:42Right, let's put on the watch for the first time.
03:45So I have really teeny wrists as you guys can see.
03:50Ah, just right.
03:53So it's still a little bit loose as you can see.
03:56It's not completely tight, but this is just how I like my watches so that my wrist can
04:02breathe.
04:03It looks good.
04:04It's not too big.
04:06It's just right.
04:07It's not bulky at all.
04:09Let's do that watch door.
04:11Ooh, swipe down for a quick panel.
04:14Swipe up to go to the watch face.
04:16For apps, swipe up from the bottom edge.
04:19Ooh, there we go.
04:21Swipe down to go back to the watch face.
04:23For notifications, swipe right.
04:28Tap to open.
04:30Swipe right.
04:31Oh, no, no.
04:32Swipe right.
04:33Swipe left to go back.
04:34Swipe right for the tiles.
04:36Home key to go to the watch face.
04:39And that's it.
04:42The dot means I have a notification.
04:44To reorder the apps, touch and hold and drag an app icon.
04:49Ooh, gotcha.
04:51As you can see, there's no physical bezel, but see?
04:56It still does that rotating bezel thing, which actually, I like this better, I think.
05:03It just feels like the screen is uninterrupted, but I still get that rotating bezel functionality.
05:09Right.
05:10Let's take this baby out for a spin and see what else it can do.
05:22So, like you saw, I did get the 40mm pink gold version, mostly because, one, it's smaller,
05:29so my tiny wrists probably work better with the smaller watches, and two, it's the only
05:34style that has the pink gold version.
05:36There's also a black and a silver, but in the 44mm version of the Galaxy Watch 4, you
05:41get the black and the silver and a green option, no pink option.
05:45And the bigger Galaxy Watch 4 Classic, which only comes in a 42 and a 46mm configuration,
05:50only comes in black and silver.
05:52I mean, if you guys know me, you'd know that this was the obvious choice.
05:55Joshua, on the other hand, got a 42mm Galaxy Watch 4 Classic.
06:00He's repping the black one right now.
06:02I did get the yellow strap here, just to give the watch a different look, but I also got
06:07the silver edition as well.
06:08And I'll have a video on his channel soon, check it out.
06:11And comparing the two, while I was contemplating getting the Classic as well because of that
06:15classic bezel look, I feel like I made the right choice because I am loving the no bezel
06:19situation, especially since I still get the rotating bezel functionality.
06:23The screen on this thing is bright and responsive, and it feels bigger because again, no bezel.
06:28More importantly though, it doesn't feel awkward on my wrist.
06:31I feel like it's just the right size.
06:33Now let me tell you, one of my favorite things on this watch, as silly as it may seem, are
06:37the Bitmoji watch faces.
06:39Again, this was a cute little thing that I loved having on my Fitbit wearables, and now,
06:43they're on the Samsung watches.
06:45Speaking of, one of the big things about these Galaxy Watch 4s are that they're the very
06:50first watches with One UI and Wear OS by Samsung and Google.
06:55That means you have Google Apps on this thing like Google Maps or Google Keep, and most
06:59importantly, the Google App Store, which also means you can put in third-party apps like
07:04Telegram, but then you also have Galaxy services like Samsung Pay or SmartThings.
07:10Pretty useful and handy things to have on your wrist.
07:12This thing has 16GB of memory, gestures, Samsung claims 40 hours of battery life, and
07:18one of my favorite features on smart wearables, remote selfie features.
07:22It also connects to your phone to give you notifications, track your steps, heart rate,
07:27exercise, even your blood oxygen levels, and what's pretty cool is that this watch can
07:32calculate your body composition.
07:34It's a curious little process.
07:35You put two fingers on the two buttons and wait as the watch detects stuff from your
07:41body.
07:42It's a quick 15 seconds and then you have the calculations.
07:46There's also an ECG sensor on here, though that comes with many warnings on what this
07:52can or can't do.
07:53And again, all these health features are not really to be done in lieu of actual medical
07:58advice or medical help.
08:00But yeah, again, all of these things, pretty cool to see on a smart watch.
08:04Right, that was our first look at the Samsung Galaxy Watch 4.
08:07Of course, this is just our initial impressions on this wearable.
08:11I will be spending more time with this watch to see what it can do and just how well it
08:16fares in everyday real-life scenario, aka living with this thing on my wrist.
08:20Let me know what you guys want to know about this watch.
