00:00Hello there, welcome to your Tuesday evening weather update from the Met Office. Tomorrow
00:05promises to be another fine day with some sunshine and feeling warm across many areas
00:10and the reason why, we do have high pressure extending from the North Sea covering most
00:16of the country. In fact, there's a bit of a squeeze on the isobars towards the South
00:20East, hence the reason why you've had a keen breeze here today. That's Tuesday and overnight
00:25into Wednesday it could deliver more clouds just for a time. Elsewhere, yet another day
00:30where we'll see a lot of sunshine. Let's take a look at the detail then through Tuesday
00:34evening, where it's a pleasant evening outside. A bit of a breeze down towards the South East
00:39and that will deliver a bit more clouds as you can see. Now, any dampness will tend to
00:44ease across the far north of Scotland, that's Shetland, and some starry skies will emerge
00:49across the Outer Hebrides. Elsewhere, with a light wind, mist and fog patches could form,
00:55particularly across Northern Ireland, down towards the Republic of Ireland, central and
00:58eastern areas, southern parts of Scotland and even down towards the Vale of York. But
01:03this cloud will encroach and drift towards eastern parts of Wales through the early hours
01:07of Wednesday morning, keeping temperatures up here, but certainly in the glens of Scotland,
01:11another chilly start to the day. First thing then tomorrow morning, many areas, particularly
01:16towards the north, getting off to a fine day, a crisp autumnal morning with the sun coming
01:21through. Now, across England and Wales, there's more cloud away from Cumbria, Northumberland,
01:27as well as Lancashire, down towards Cheshire, but notice the cloud breaks up quite quickly,
01:31so by around lunchtime, most places yet again bathed in some mid-September sunshine. This
01:37breeze again will be a feature of the weather across East Anglia, the East Midlands, down
01:42towards central southern England and even as far south west as the West Country. Temperatures
01:47though coming in around 23 to 24 here, 21, 22 across western Scotland, 18 or 19 for Northern
01:55Ireland and will reach around 20 to 21 Celsius across Wales, so a pleasant day. Although
02:00along this east coast with an onshore breeze, temperatures pegged back just a little bit.
02:05Even so, it's a pleasant end to the day. But notice through Wednesday evening and overnight,
02:09yet again we see this cloud migrating from the North Sea and it will encroach across
02:14the eastern strip of Scotland. Elsewhere, some clearer skies, a bit of a chilly end
02:19to the night and a cloudy start to the day come Thursday morning across some parts of
02:24England and Wales, but the cloud will break and burn back to the east coast. A similar
02:27situation across Scotland. And notice a bit more cloud across the far north west, but
02:32for most, it's a fine day with sunny spells. Now, into Friday, an increasing chance of
02:37some showers, particularly across central and southern areas. Sunshine for many, but
02:41that cloud will be quite stubborn along the east coast of Scotland, as well as north-east
02:46England. And a similar situation into Saturday. These showers will pep up the risk of thunder.
02:51It turns a bit more humid, particularly across England and Wales. Temperatures in the north
02:55though, help with some sunshine across western Scotland, still into the high teens. See you
02:59later.
