00:00Hello and a very good morning to you. Now for many today it's going to be warm,
00:03temperatures climbing into the 20s across some parts with some sunshine.
00:07Rain in the far south and stubborn cloud to start the day along this eastern side
00:12with an onshore breeze and a bit damp in places. Further west not as cool as the
00:16last few nights and you'll wake up to some sunshine. The cloud is more broken
00:19across northern parts of Wales as well as England down towards the east there
00:22but more stubborn cloud further south and southwest with some sporadic bursts
00:26of rain. Now there's a rain warning across these parts throughout today
00:30until midnight. Expect some heavy downpours with the risk of thunder. So
00:35wherever you are most places will see dry weather today and certainly the
00:39temperatures will rise very nicely through the morning into the afternoon.
00:42It's going to be hit and miss along this eastern side but the cloud is trying to
00:46break and it will continue to do so through the morning but this hard could
00:49be rather stubborn through the first part of the day. Now this onshore breeze
00:53keeping temperatures probably the high teens along the coastline inland though
00:56feeling warm and the wind will be a bit gusty over the Pennines as well as the
01:00hills of Scotland particularly towards the south. Further west, western Scotland
01:04Northern Ireland having a cracking day with some lovely sunshine but notice
01:08gathering across southern counties central southern England down towards
01:11the West Country some heavy downpours as I said the risk of thunder here causing
01:16some problems on the roads with spray and poor visibility and also surface
01:20water attempting to nudge towards the far south of Wales but the Sun could
01:25come out across the home counties through the morning into the afternoon
01:28before maybe you'll see some showery bursts towards evening time. Let's take a
01:32look at these temperatures then because this is the the main story of the day
01:36away from the south where it's the rain. You can see temperatures across western
01:40Scotland around 25 we could just about peak around 26 27 degrees Celsius
01:45certainly the central about 23 Celsius. A warm day for Northern Ireland 21 here
01:50extending south in shelter across the Republic of Ireland even higher than
01:53that and a 26 for places such as Birmingham 25 for Manchester New
01:58Castle only 18 with that onshore wind but inland across places such as Norfolk
02:03and Suffolk you'll see temperatures comfortably into the low 20s if not 24
02:0825 degrees Celsius. Here's your warning zone through Friday you can see this is
02:12the the risk of those heavy downpours but generally speaking they'll be
02:16concentrated across the the far south the southern counties there and this
02:20onshore breeze as I said keeping things rather gusty through the day. Now notice
02:25through this evening this band of rain which will be heavy with the risk of
02:29thunder slowly nudges its way northwards. It is a very laborious process even so
02:35if you're traveling particularly along the M4 corridor you may run into some
02:39heavy downpours. The cloud returns to the eastern side with that onshore breeze
02:44but we lose the strength of the wind into the weekend which is good news even
02:48so you'll be chasing clouds first thing as we head through Saturday morning. But
02:52through Saturday it's a fine day across many areas with some sunny skies coming
02:56through but showers will break out across England and Wales they'll be
03:00fairly scattered but with the risk of thunder some sunshine in between and
03:04temperatures yet again coming in around 21 to 24 degrees Celsius. Showery on
03:09Sunday across England and Wales still some brighter weather further west but
03:14the cloud will come and go further east. See you later have a lovely day.
