00:00Hello, here's your latest weather update from the Met Office. I'm Marco Bertagno. We've
00:04seen plenty of fine weather to end the weekend across the bulk of the UK as we head through
00:07this evening into the overnight period. We'll start to see some outbreaks of rain moving
00:11in across Northern Ireland, reaching southern Scotland and the north of England into the
00:14early hours, some of that rain turning quite heavy by Monday morning. Cherry outbreaks
00:18also into Wales and the south-west of England, with the south-east of England up across north-western
00:23parts of Scotland generally seeing the clearest skies. Under those clear spells towards the
00:26north-west, it will turn quite chilly by Monday morning, could see lows into single
00:30figures here, but elsewhere, with the cloud and the cherry outbreaks of rain coming in,
00:34it will generally stay quite mild, temperatures holding up in the low to mid-teens, so quite
00:38a humid night for many. As for Monday itself, well those outbreaks of rain across northern
00:42England and southern Scotland generally break up as we go through the morning, giving way
00:46to sunshine and scattered quite heavy showers in the afternoon. One or two of those showers
00:50could also be quite thundery. Meanwhile, the outbreaks of cherry rain across Wales and
00:53the south-west will gradually migrate eastwards across the rest of England into the morning,
00:58giving way in the afternoon here to plenty of sunshine, so quite a good afternoon I think
01:01if you like sunshine, that is, certainly across the south of the UK, whereas towards the north-west,
01:05again, a mixture of sunshine and scattered showers. In the sunshine towards the south-east
01:10during the afternoon, temperatures peaking at 24, possibly locally even 25 Celsius, that's
01:14into the mid to locally upper 70s in Fahrenheit. A bit fresher towards the north-west at 15
01:18to 19 degrees, perhaps squeaking a 20 in Belfast and Newcastle. As we head into the
01:24evening then on Monday, those showers will start to ease, at least for a time, because
01:28notice as we go into the overnight period into the early hours of Tuesday, further shower
01:31outbreaks of rain start to move in from the west, especially across parts of England and
01:35Wales, and it will be the north-west of the UK generally seeing the clearest skies by
01:39Tuesday morning, Northern Ireland and the west of Scotland fairly clear in fact, and
01:43here once again it will turn quite chilly by Tuesday morning, temperatures into single
01:46figures, but elsewhere holding up in the low to mid-teens, so once again another pretty
01:50mild night to come away from the north-west. As for Tuesday, it will be quite a cloudy
01:55morning across England and Wales, some outbreaks of showery rain in places, giving way generally
01:59to a mixture of sunshine and scattered showers as we go through the day, but notice the showers
02:03towards the north-west easing into the afternoon, so plenty of sunshine to end the day across
02:07Northern Ireland and the west of Scotland. That's all thanks to a ridge of high pressure
02:11moving in from the west. But once again, in the sunshine, temperatures not doing too badly
02:15at all for the time of year, up to 21°C towards the north-west, peaking at 25°C in
02:19the south-east at 77°C in Fahrenheit. That's pretty much it from me, but of course you
02:23can keep tuned to The Met Office Forecast by following us on social media and also by
02:28subscribing to our YouTube channel. I'll see you soon, take care, bye bye.
