00:00Hello, good evening. Well, after a chilly start, it's been quite cold all day but
00:04there has still been plenty of blue skies around. Here's a satellite picture
00:09from this afternoon then, plenty of clear skies across England and Wales. Different
00:14story in Scotland though, cloudy here with plenty of showers and as we head
00:18into the evening those showers are going to continue to move across the country,
00:22heavy at times and falling as sleet and snow over the Scottish peaks. Elsewhere,
00:27there's a bit more cloud around tonight so it's not going to be turning quite as
00:30chilly. However, under those clearer spells it is going to be turning cold,
00:34particularly in Wales, central parts of England may see some pockets of frost
00:38overnight. There's still a cold night on offer, still just not quite as cold as
00:42last night and still plenty of those blustery showers moving into Scotland
00:47and western parts of Northern Ireland. These are going to band together bringing
00:51longer spells of rain, it's slowly going to drift towards the Scottish borders,
00:54northern parts of England and Wales, so quite a wet day on offer here but
00:59clearing to the north of Scotland, so brightening up, still plenty of those
01:03blustery showers though, still falling quite wintry across the Scottish
01:07Highlands too. Across England and Wales there will still be plenty of dry and
01:12bright weather but can't rule out the chance of a shower, particularly across
01:15Wales, parts of Lincolnshire and later on around the southeast. Quite a breezy day
01:21on offer, that breeze quite brisk at times so even though temperatures have
01:24improved slightly in the south, when you add on that wind chill that just shows
01:29it's going to feel a lot colder than perhaps the temperatures are actually
01:32showing. Now through into Saturday evening there'll still be plenty of
01:37showers to start but they'll eventually clear their way off into the North Sea
01:41and that allows plenty of clear skies to develop, so once again a rather cold
01:46night on offer, may see quite a widespread frost across Scotland,
01:49northern parts of England and generally quite a cold night on offer too in those
01:54light winds, perhaps seeing some pockets of mist and fog here too. Then through
01:58Sunday we've got high pressure building so plenty of that autumnal sunshine once
02:03again, lots of dry weather around, perhaps just a build of higher cloud as we head
02:07into the afternoon, that sunshine will still be there, it might just turn a
02:11little bit milky and that's because we've got this weather front which is
02:14pushing in from the west but not until later, so largely dry through much
02:18of the day, it's just bringing in that higher cloud but a cold day once again,
02:23temperatures widely just below average for the time of year, so a fairly cold
02:27weekend. It does look like things are set to turn milder next week but that might
02:31just mean it's turning a little bit wetter too, but for any updates on that
