00:00Hello there, good evening. Hope you have managed to have a good weekend, although some of us
00:04have certainly been dodging heavy downbursts at times. These will be continuing into the
00:08new week as well, with low pressure still in charge across southern areas. Wales and
00:13England in particular have the potential to see some locally heavy downbursts during this
00:17evening and overnight. There's the continuing risk of some localised flooding and disruption
00:22in places, so do continue to take care as these move their way through ever so steadily
00:26pushing northwards. It's a touch drier across parts of Northern
00:29Ireland and Scotland, particularly western Scotland could hold on to some slightly clearer
00:32spells and underneath that, temperatures may dip a little bit into single figures and
00:36rural spots actually may even see a touch of frost to start off Monday morning. But
00:40for those of us with the cloud and the rain, it is certainly going to be a much milder
00:44night, generally temperatures holding around 14 to 16 degrees Celsius.
00:49First thing on Monday morning then, we see an amber weather warning come into force.
00:54It stretches between Herefordshire, Gloucestershire and up towards the Wash and the Humber. This
00:58area in particular during Monday, we could see over a month's worth of rain falling
01:03and with the rain we've already seen over the last couple of days, this certainly has
01:06the potential to bring some disruption and flooding in locations. And here it is very
01:11important we do take care over the course of the day. There is a broader yellow rain
01:15warning that encompasses much other areas of England and Wales as well. So as the rain
01:19erratically pushes its way northwards during the day, again, do continue to take care here.
01:24Best of the brightness first thing really again across parts of Dumfries and Galloway
01:28up into western Scotland, a rather cloudy day for Northern Ireland now and eastern parts
01:32of Scotland as well will be quite misty and murky to begin with. We've got a band of rain
01:36across the far north of Scotland and that will slowly push its way southwards over the
01:39course of the day, spreading into the Northern Isles, the Highlands and Lewis and Harris.
01:44This rain then will continue on and off across Wales and England. But where we start to see
01:48some sunshine developing across the far southeast, temperatures could climb towards 21 degrees
01:53Celsius. Elsewhere underneath the more extensive cloud, it is going to be a generally cooler
01:57feeling day. Temperatures around 14 to 16 degrees Celsius here. This rain will continue
02:04to ease off a little bit more as we head into Monday evening, so things generally turning
02:08calmer during the overnight period and towards Tuesday, with the band of rain gradually pushing
02:14its way off towards the North Sea and things turning a little bit drier. But for Scotland,
02:18that band of rain is going to sink its way southwards, so it will turn wetter to start
02:22off Tuesday across some more central regions and the rain still around. Hopefully some
02:27sunny spells developing for Northern Ireland into the afternoon, a few showers here and
02:30we might see the touch of brightness around across England and Wales also, but generally
02:34a relatively cloudy day here. For all of us, it is certainly going to be feeling cooler
02:38in general, temperatures ranging between 12 and 18 degrees Celsius. During the forthcoming
02:45week though, we see northerly winds starting to push their way in, so the cooling trend
02:49is going to continue for all of us. Parts of Scotland will certainly see that by already
02:53Monday and into Tuesday, with temperatures dropping down into the low teens in places.
02:58But that cool and cold air will eventually reach many areas of the UK by the time we
03:02head throughout the rest of the week, so all of us will start to see temperatures dropping
03:06below average for the time of year as we head towards the end of the week. Do stay up to
03:11date with the forecast then and you'll have plenty of those updates across our YouTube
03:15channel and we'll see you again here very soon. Bye bye.
