00:00Hello, well it's been an unsettled end to the weekend and there's still further
00:04warnings in force especially across southern parts of Wales where we have
00:09issued an amber rain warning. So across southern parts of Wales we have a
00:13warning valid until 6 a.m. on Monday. We could see totals building 80 to
00:19possibly a hundred millimetres so we can expect surface water flooding, river
00:24flooding, also disruption to transport too. So do take care if you're out and
00:29about through this evening and overnight. And this is the band of rain that will
00:34bring heavy spells and persistent rain across much of Wales, southern England,
00:39into the Midlands and then eventually sinking its way south and eastwards to
00:42affect much of London and East Anglia. Behind that clearer spells developing
00:47across Northern Ireland and parts of Scotland where we'll see blustery
00:51showers moving through. Here it'll be a touch cooler so around six or seven
00:57degrees but underneath all this cloud rain and strong winds temperatures
01:02generally holding up at around eight or nine degrees to start Monday. But it's an
01:08unsettled start across much of England and Wales with heavy spells of rain and
01:12showers moving their way through. That band of rain will gradually clear its
01:16way eastwards and turning brighter behind it but we'll see some showers
01:21bubbling up especially across the southern parts of England into London
01:24and East Anglia. Behind that a good deal of sunshine developing but frequent
01:29showers already across Northern Ireland and parts of Scotland and here they
01:34could contain the odd rumble of thunder too. Most of us should see lighter
01:39winds though so feeling pleasant in that sunshine we could see highs up to 13 or
01:4414 degrees. So as we go through Monday evening any showers across the southeast
01:50will gradually clear their way through. Out towards the west further showers
01:54bringing spells of rain merging to give longer spells of rain though across a
01:58part of southeastern areas and East Anglia. Clearer spells developing behind
02:04that with frequent blustery showers once again across northwestern parts of
02:08Scotland. But the winds will be coming in more of a north northwesterly direction
02:13so actually turning a little bit chillier overnight and we could even see
02:17a touch of frost in places to start Tuesday morning. So it is another damp
02:22start across southeastern areas of England on Tuesday morning but that rain
02:26will gradually clear its way eastwards then we'll see brighter skies developing
02:31but we'll also see further showers start breaking out some of these still on the
02:36heavy side at times and perhaps actually falling a little bit wintry over the
02:40highest ground in Scotland. Otherwise temperatures will be a notch down over
02:45the recent milder spell that we've had so highs of up to 8 or possibly 11
02:51degrees. That's all from me for now though but make sure to stay up to date
02:55with the latest forecast by following us on YouTube. Bye bye for now.
