00:00Computer Science video is here today to show you guys in this tutorial how to

00:05encrypt and decrypt a PowerPoint presentation on a Mac computer. Without

00:11further ado let us start the video. So in this tutorial you need to have access to

00:15a Mac computer, have access to the desktop application Microsoft PowerPoint. We can

00:20now start the tutorial. Before we get into the tutorial I have made a wide

00:25variety of videos as part of a playlist for how to use Microsoft PowerPoint on a

00:30Mac computer that will be in the link in the description below so be sure to

00:35check that out and the video towards the end which is the previous video will

00:40also be at the end of this tutorial. Be sure to check that out. So let's now go

00:49down to the dock, go to Launchpad, go to Mac Office, go to Microsoft PowerPoint,

00:56click on blank presentation, create. Let's now increase the size of the PowerPoint

01:04presentation itself, remove design ideas. Let's now start a PowerPoint

01:08presentation from nothing. So let's add a title, Computer Science Videos. Let's

01:20now go around to the dock again, go to Finder, go to Documents, My YouTube

01:26Channel. Let's get a logo, YouTube icon for Computer Science Videos. Let's take

01:32that to the right of the screen, drag and drop this onto the PowerPoint

01:37presentation and as you can see we have design ideas given to us on the right

01:42hand side of the screen. Let's just click on any of our choice. Let's get rid of

01:48the design ideas. Now let's add a subtitle. So that's the PowerPoint

01:56presentation done as part of this video. Now let's command S to save to the

02:05desktop. ComputerScienceVideos.pptx. Let's save. Let's now minimize Finder for

02:19the moment, just increase the size of the PowerPoint presentation. Let's now go to

02:27the top of the toolbar where we have File, click on Passwords, Password to Open. We

02:37can encrypt this presentation and require a password to open which is what

02:42we will do now. Let's click on this and now it will prompt us to set a password

02:47for this presentation. Let's just choose a password. Verify. Lost passwords can't

02:57be recovered. Passwords are case-sensitive. Set password. So let's

03:01click on OK. Command S to save. Now let's quit PowerPoint. As we can see on the

03:12desktop, we now have the PowerPoint presentation with a lock on it. If we

03:18were to double click on this, it will prompt us to enter the password to open

03:23this presentation. Let's now add the password to it. Open. If we were to remove

03:32the password, we would click on File, Passwords, click on Encrypt this

03:38presentation and require a password. So we are to reverse the process. Click on

03:44OK. Command S to save. Quit PowerPoint and there we go. So the PowerPoint

03:53presentation is no longer encrypted. We have decrypted the presentation. If we

03:59were to click on the PowerPoint presentation, Compute Science Videos

04:03again. Go to File. Go to Passwords. Password to modify. Require a password to

04:11modify the presentation. Click on this. New password. Verify. Set the password.

04:19OK. If I were to make some changes, let's just say click on Social Media. Command C

04:28Command V. The subtitle. Command S to save. That's now been saved. Now let's

04:38quit PowerPoint. Let's click on the PowerPoint presentation. It will tell us

04:45to enter the password to modify this presentation. So we have now entered the

04:53password and we have now access to the PowerPoint presentation. If I were to

05:02close this PowerPoint presentation, I would only be allowed to modify via the

05:08password. Let's click on the PowerPoint presentation again. Password. Modify. Go to

05:15File. Passwords. Remove. Require a password to modify the presentation. OK. Quit

05:23PowerPoint. Save the PowerPoint presentation and there we go. So that's
