00:00he's not just setting the trap he is the trap here's look at the Mattel turtles
00:05of greyscale mouse jaw evil and armed with Mouser
00:10this Master Universe origins turtles a greyscale mouse jaw figure represents a
00:32combination of trap jaw from Master Universe and a Mouser from Teenage Mutant Ninja
00:37Turtles this cybernetic walking weapon of destruction at 5.5 inch scale has a
00:42movable jaw and comes armed with a mobile offensive underground search
00:46excavation and retrieval sentry and flame accessory I can already tell you
00:51one thing I have problems with this figure and that's the name that Mattel
00:53chose you've got trap jaw and a Mouser and they decide to go with mouse jaw
00:59instead of the obvious mouse trap let's grab the tape measure let's grab the
01:05tape measure and see how tall the turtles of greyscale mouse jaw stands
01:10mouse trap it's right in front of you the figure though is gonna stand about
01:14five and a half inches in height in fact he actually stands exactly five inch
01:17five-and-a-half inches in height and that's gonna work out to be a figure
01:20that's 14 centimeters tall mouse jaw happen to be one of the four figures
01:24that you need in order to build metal Botto who's metal Botto we'll talk more
01:28about metal Botto in a moment I guess while we're still talking about him one
01:32of the other figures that I have picked up in order to have the component pieces
01:35to build metal Botto who's metal Botto stop that is of course Slacker Slacker
01:39is a pretty big figure pretty big boy a lot bigger though than mouse jaw he's
01:43also though a lot shorter than one of the other figures we've also had a look
01:46at here's Ramon Ramon still has loose ankles if you're looking at sizing
01:51though he's pretty sized in scale with trap jaw one of the obviously the
01:56original looks to the character before he got heavily augmented there seems to
01:59be obviously some things that they have used from one figure to the other the
02:02primary thing being the torsos it also seems very apparent that they've used
02:06the loincloth the top thighs and the lower calves not the feet not the feet
02:10those are different but there are some elements of trap jaw that found their
02:14way over to mouse jaw here now I did make the mistake of ordering this guy
02:18finally on Amazon Amazon had dropped the box at my doorstep and I looked at it I
02:23thought I didn't order any blu-rays anybody else ordering blu-rays in the
02:27house I didn't order any blu-rays what I did order though was mouse jaw and
02:32whoever had packed up this figure a good thing I wasn't collecting this guy
02:36with the idea of keeping them sealed in card decided to fold the flap down and
02:40shipped it as is I opened it up I saw certainly the side of it I'm like oh
02:45wait a minute then I realized they'd fold the flap completely over shame on
02:50you Amazon shame on you again it doesn't really matter because I'm only gonna be
02:55opening the figure up anyways but had I been one of those people had I been a
02:59mint on card collector that would have really ticked me right off what kind of
03:04does tick me off a little bit too not all that much the figure also comes in
03:07clue of course with the sheets the sheet always we're talking about this does
03:11mean that you can mix and match the parts you can take the head off the
03:13shoulders does anybody care take the lower half of his body some some of you
03:16care and of course the boots you can mix and match these parts around if you want
03:20to customize your own mo to figure kind of also a little ticks me off that seems
03:25to be a lot that's taking you off is the fact that this character does also come
03:28in clue with not a mini comic but a kind of a cardboard standee one side
03:33does have mouse jaw and then the Mouser down below here I'm actually kind of
03:36glad that they came in clue with a Mouser and then the other side sort of
03:39gives you a breakdown of his what is mutagen master powers endless array of
03:43weapons I don't know okay endless array powerful razor sharp shot sharp can we
03:48get that out jaw cybernetic strength and then the Mouser has turtle hunting
03:52technology attack and unstoppable numbers even though you really only get
03:56one and then shell shell crunching claw a jaws so that's it get yourself a
04:00little card I don't know I'm just gonna I don't even think I even kept the one
04:04from slacker I need a thinking I think I just threw it into recycling I'm
04:08probably gonna do the exact same thing here for mouse jaws seriously why could
04:11we not have decided to call this guy mouse trap mouse trap it's right there
04:16you got Mouser you got trap jaw you got pineapple pen
04:20mouse trap going back though earlier we talked a little bit about the figure of
04:26course of metal Botto I forgot his name metal Botto for the parts that we get at
04:31least included here with mouse jaw you get the arm and yet I don't know like
04:36what this is really supposed to be it doesn't plug into the side I'm guessing
04:39it's supposed to plug into something else that's on his body with what at
04:43least I have from slacker the only thing I have is really his lower legs and his
04:47mouth and the mouth does open and close there's a little button on the bottom
04:51here I am still missing the arms and well I'm missing one of the arms if I
04:56can actually update myself on that I'm missing one of the arms I'm missing the
04:59torso I'm missing the lower legs I'm gonna be able to complete that with the
05:02other two figures one of them happens to be splinter so right now I I only have
05:05like these pieces just like remnant remains of metal Botto who's metal Botto
05:09stop that move that off to the side let's kind of break down and look at the
05:14lay of the land of everything that comes in clue with mouse jaw for
05:17starters he gets himself a couple of arm attachments somewhat similar to what we
05:21got already with trap jaw by the way though if you didn't want to bring in
05:24your trap jaw you could remove these parts and you could for all intents and
05:28purposes use them because they are using the exact exact same size diameter peg
05:32but obviously they belong here with mouse jaw I would have really liked if
05:36they could have kept the colors matching to his arm like if his arms gonna be
05:40white why would then they have arrived on the idea of giving him this or these
05:43pastel purple parts just makes no sense whatsoever if you did want to though you
05:48could take the parts and just attach them onto his on the ends of his arms
05:51just plug in place like that I mean he's kind of got like himself a little
05:55blaster a dual barrel blaster he's also got himself a blade weapon and he's also
06:01got himself a claw weapon so if you use the molds again I mean it just makes
06:07more sense for me that they would have molded this all in a keep consistent
06:10plastic color of whites why would they just have decided to give him this
06:13molded plastic color instead doesn't make any sense it actually kind of looks
06:17like he's got like rubber gloves over top of his weapons I guess he wants to
06:21be sanitary come on trap jaws never been sanitary someone's somewhat strange
06:25though he also does have his belt not that that's the strange part but he does
06:28have holes on the sides the original trap jaw yeah if you look at the back of
06:32it actually he had these little sections that you could holster down his weapons
06:36so while these ones don't have them these were just plugged in place I feel
06:40like this may have been released with is it Bray Wyatt the fiend I think fiend
06:45may have gotten these also as well so there's no slots that these slot in
06:48place the original trap jaw pieces though would have slotted in place the
06:52one that we get here from mouse jaw doesn't have a the identical belt you
06:56can actually see that they've got given them like a skull and crossbones turtle
06:59motif that's kind of kind of interesting unfortunately though with the holes they
07:03serve more of a purpose for the legs of the Mauser you could still use these but
07:08the way that they plug in place it now looks like he's just shooting from the
07:11sides I guess if you wanted to you can have fun that way but it seems a little
07:14strange to have them plugged in this place so there's no unfortunately
07:17storage space they can then display like any other parts that you're not
07:21displaying on the ends of his arms probably would be the best just to put
07:24them in a bag because it's gonna look probably just the silliest just to plug
07:28them on the end of his belt like this no no those holes serve a purpose that's
07:33actually for the Mauser the one other thing that he also has as well as a
07:36blast effect which I'm sure we have gotten before I don't know necessarily
07:40with the origins line but I'm sure we've got this before with maybe I want to say
07:44like the master verse line you can let me know down below in the comments like
07:47it's translucent yellow plastic either way and you can actually take that and
07:51plug that onto the end of his arm also that way as well it doesn't work with
07:55the blasters there's no hole on the end of the blasters to accommodate this and
07:59unfortunately by giving him this it also makes the arm a lot heavier so I don't
08:04think long-term plans that's a good idea that's bad ideas don't want to have
08:08it displayed permanently like this so we're gonna remove that and put off to
08:12the side and I guess just before we also look at mouse jaw let's look at the
08:15Mauser one of my favorite things that come in clear with the figure is the
08:17fact they actually included a I don't even say tiny either it's a pretty cool
08:21looking Mauser does have an open and closed mouth it does also have a little
08:25hole on the inside of his mouth that you can take the blast effect that plugs in
08:29place as well unfortunately though the way that they've angled the figure
08:33unless you have them crouched down like this is the only way he's gonna really
08:36shoot forward if you want them upright there's no way to compensate that by
08:40bringing the the head down unfortunately what they've done is they've made this
08:43one post and then the head essentially sits inside the post this extends so
08:49that's one thing that's that's good but unfortunately just means that you can't
08:53move the arm up and down and that's gonna cause a conflict to when you want
08:56to use this part and attach it onto the end of his arm wait you can do that you
09:00can do that it's laughable though so we're gonna detach this the Mauser by
09:05the way does have articulation so again it opens and closes the mouth it does
09:08rotate but again because this is one piece that goes straight through it
09:12skewers his face unfortunately it just means that you can't you can't bend the
09:16head up and down you can bend it only just a little bit but like again like
09:20there's a hinge right there almost convincing you like you should be able
09:23to do it but it doesn't seem like it really wants to move all that much it
09:26only moves just a little bit just a little bit the feet also do move back
09:31and forth as well there is also some foot articulation so you can also move
09:35those to a decent-looking Mouser I you know I'd love actually if they could
09:39release more of these just like a Mouser pack even if you don't plan to collect
09:43them specifically for the Turtles of Grayskull line just a nice little pack
09:46of Mousers would certainly do so the whole idea with the Mouser is that you
09:50can detach the parts you can't detach it here because I was thinking initially
09:54like oh yeah I'm just gonna pull this post completely out the head and the
09:57body have to stay as one piece so you're gonna take the legs off those just
10:01wiggle off the post like this and of all the things this is why these holes now
10:06play a role is that you take the legs of the Mouser I kind of feel like this is a
10:11little stupid and I plug these in place and they just plug in so it sort of
10:16looks like now he's got these robotic legs they don't they don't serve any
10:19purpose other than just to give a storage spot for all the extra Mouser
10:23parts that you're not currently using I mean what am I gonna do with this other
10:26than if maybe like Mouse Jaw wants to sit down he's got sort of a serviceable
10:31chair it's kind of like one of those ridiculous pants you've seen online you
10:35know where the person sits down and like the seats already built into the back of
10:37their behind so soon as they sit like that the chair sort of swings down and
10:41they can sit down on top of that this kind of gives Trap Jaw now a Mouse Jaw
10:45that means to kind of sit down it's a little stupid it's a lot stupid so what
10:50you can also do too is like so here's the part I really have a problem with
10:53when it comes to this figure in the stand here for a second this attaches
10:58onto the end of his arm well we've already established the fact that his
11:00arm is like that long and now we're gonna be adding then this piece on top
11:04of it I've already looked at this figure and I was wondering if there's a way to
11:08remove the forearm because it's plugged in place and it's pegged right here this
11:13pegs in place on the end of his arm so we can extend that idea and think okay
11:20well if it plugs in here could it also plug in here well I've tried to remove
11:25this and it doesn't seem to want to free and I know it's one of those cases that
11:29if I keep continuing to stress this it's gonna continue to stress itself and that
11:33might just potentially break right off I'm gonna try to heat this up because
11:37I'm thinking if I can remove it from the forearm post then I can at least attach
11:41the Mouser at a shorter distance so it's not gonna have to go all the way to the
11:45end of the street to plug into his arm because that's just a little ridiculous
11:49that looks a little stupid come on who we kidding it looks a lot stupid because
11:54again like you have no articulation here for the Mouser and are we even really
11:59gonna again entertain the idea that we're gonna put the blast effect on the
12:02end of that as well like that's just excessive for all the wrong reasons not
12:06to mention as well like it looks it doesn't really quite match the coloring
12:10of the plastic either the Mouser is a very bright white of plastic and
12:14like Mouser here has kind of more of an off-white plastic I just if I want to
12:19display this guy on the shelf I'm gonna be displaying him as Mouser and a Mouser
12:23two separate entities that never two will ever join together it's something
12:28that obviously Mattel threw in there as an after effect and afterthought I feel
12:33it just doesn't seem like it makes all that much sense it literally just looks
12:36like he took the end of a Mouser and he's plugged it onto the end of his arm
12:39which essentially is what he's done so we're gonna have to remove those let's
12:42just take these legs off let's stop this ridiculousness and let's just plug
12:48these back in place one side and then on the other side here so let's put the
12:52Mouser the way it belongs back to normal getting a closer look though at Mouse
12:56Jaw other than short of the name being wrong I feel like the head sculpt is
13:01pretty good like it's pretty close to what we got with the original Trap Jaw
13:04let's just correct his jaw right here Mouse Trap Jaw is actually one of my
13:08least favorite of the Origins line it just never quite arrived at what the
13:11original vintage toy did deliver I mean obviously we got this time around he
13:15still has a trap on his jaw but he also has more of a Mouser head than he did
13:20have the original he doesn't also have the little ringlet there on the top so
13:22he wouldn't be able to slide down on a track or a line but it's a pretty
13:27similar sort of if you were to take the idea of a Mouser and Mouse and Trap Jaw
13:31and combine the two I don't think it's that far different than what I would
13:34have pictured other than maybe like the jaw covering most of his head he also
13:38has somewhat of a kind of Mouser looking head that attaches onto his
13:42shoulder so if you're looking at it it kind of looks like it's a Mouser head
13:45and then his arms sort of sitting inside that the white kind of looks a little
13:49jarring when you look at it compared to the blue but you know again to combine
13:52the two characters I'm sure there is probably a better way they could have
13:55designed this but it doesn't look all that bad the blue is much darker
13:59obviously than the Trap Jaw from before the Trap Jaw from before would have had
14:02a much lighter looking blue this goes to more of a much darker blue very much a
14:06similar style of blue to Webster a different type of belt obviously as well
14:11and even like the shoulder armor and like I'm looking at the two and I'm
14:14trying to think is there anything that they would have used from one to the
14:17other and it doesn't seem to be the case brand new shoulders brand new like I
14:20guess if you would consider this to be an a bicep or elbow joint all of this is
14:25brand new tooling so they had to basically start from scratch the body
14:28would be the same the arms probably would have just been a regular I mean
14:32like this is just a regular bracelet so like this would have been used with any
14:35other any other figure from He-Man that would have had like a bracelet would
14:39have used this style of arm so they didn't have to retool anything here
14:43didn't have to obviously retool anything here the loincloth is the same as just a
14:46regular He-Man figure and then like for like this end of things this is all the
14:50same molding as Trap Jaw from before so like the lower legs the thighs the only
14:55that's different is the feet the feet are different from one to the other they
14:58sort of have given the slotted toes as opposed to the regular boots that Trap
15:01Jaw would have had before okay so for this guy's articulation head's gonna be
15:05an ball joint yes it rotates the head all the way around it looks only up by
15:09just a little bit looks down you can also as well open and close the jaw now
15:15of course for this arm it does rotate all the way around this arm does the
15:18same this arm comes out this arm doesn't as much but it does have a still a hinge
15:23so you can move it back and forth doesn't swivel here but it does swivel
15:26here there's an elbow bend I still feel like I want to try to remove this but I
15:30know just the end result is I have a feeling just this bad feeling it's gonna
15:34tell me it's tell me right now don't do this don't do it whatever you do
15:37whatever you're thinking about doing don't do because you're gonna break that
15:40peg it just seems like it's right there you know what I mean like like I if I
15:44could just take this right off stop it stop you're gonna break it but if I
15:48could just leave it alone leave alone just just remove this then you could
15:53take the bottom like do I even care that much I mean really I want Mouser the
15:56Mouser to be separate and I want really Mouse Jaw to be separately like why am I
16:00even fighting with this there's a bend in the elbow anyways you can rotate the
16:03arm there there's a waist swivel the legs split out there on ball joints you
16:07can take the legs and move forward move them back there is a swivel at the lower
16:11leg bend at the knee yeah we're starting to get into that territory where lower
16:15legs are starting to get real loose I noticed it here though with Mouse Mouse
16:19Trap I just want to come Mouse Mouse Trap Mouse Jaw does have pretty loose
16:24lower legs does have a bit of an ankle rocker and you can also move the ankle
16:28back and forth on paper the idea of taking a Mouser and a Trap Jaw and
16:33combining the two does make sense I think it's a smart idea I don't know if
16:38necessarily it arrived with the best solution get Mouser just to stay up
16:42right here let's bring back in Trap Jaw sort of see the origins of all this
16:46character you know again like looking at the two characters the white works
16:51somewhat okay with the dark blue I will tell you though what doesn't work is
16:55like these these attachments why would they have not just molded them in the
16:58same white plastic as the rest of his body it I mean it's there you got the
17:03white plastic why would they just molded the same because unfortunately anytime
17:07every time I put these on the ends of his arms it just looks so out of place
17:11like it's supposed to belong to another figure also the idea of taking apart a
17:15Mouser and then adding it to the parts of Mouse Trap Mouse Jaw just doesn't
17:20work for me it makes his arm way too long it makes it way too heavy and at
17:24the end of it I'm actually more excited honestly I think with the idea that
17:27this figure came in clue with a Mouser then I'm actually more excited for Mouse
17:31Jaw okay so full disclosure as you're seeing Mouse Jaw rotating on the
17:35rotisserie stupid name otherwise the figure is currently displayed with the
17:39Mouser on the end of his arm this will not be the way and I want to just again
17:42stress that this will not be the way I'm gonna be displaying this figure on the
17:45shelf first of all you're adding all this unnecessary weight on the end of it
17:49just to incorporate a Mouser body second of all I just think it it looks stupid
17:54let's face facts the Mouser should never have been disassembled this way and
17:58should have never never been assembled in in a way to accommodate an additional
18:02blaster on the end of his arm he already has problems with conflicting colors on
18:06the ends of his cannon arm now you're adding an additional Mouser to it it
18:10just looks absolutely ridiculous it also means that he has to sacrifice proper
18:15storage proper storage that the character could have had for all his arm
18:19attachments onto his belt like the original Trap Jaw unfortunately though
18:23the way they've designed the arms unless you want to have them pew-pewing
18:25on the sides there's no real way for him to store the extra weapons that he can
18:30wield those arm those holes are designed specifically for the legs of the Mouser
18:35the Mouser also has to make sacrifices in order to have a cannon going straight
18:40through his gullet into his mouth it means that he limits all the
18:43articulation the character could have possessed in the first place I like
18:47though that they included a Mouser I don't like the way though the Mouser has
18:50to be sacrificed in order to be an arm cannon for Mouse Jaw which is never
18:54gonna be again I stress this never gonna be the way I'm gonna display him Mouse
18:59Jaw looks okay I mean to take two characters and merge them together I
19:03think it worked a little bit more convincing with Slacker you took of
19:06course Slash and you took Faker you combine the two and you have Pineapple
19:10Pet no wait no you have Slacker Mouse Jaw on paper the idea of taking Trap
19:16Jaw and a Mouser you know again makes sense but then first of all to design
19:20him like this where he has to have a Mouser being incorporated into his
19:24design I think first of all it was ridiculous but then the biggest one the
19:27biggest drop of ball I could ever possibly think of is that you have Trap
19:31Jaw and a Mouser and you're not gonna choose to call this guy Mouse Trap so
19:37finally I have this guy in my collection I'm happy I'm not happy by the way though
19:41that Amazon shipped him to me I know lessons learned moving forward if I want
19:45to order anything from from Amazon with the idea that I'm gonna keep things
19:49sealed I think I'm just not gonna order from Amazon I'm gonna order from
19:52somewhere else instead what do you guys think of Mouse Jaw let me know down
19:56below in the comment section and you know what I'll throw this out here would
19:59you have called this guy Mouse Jaw or would you have called him Mouse Trap let
20:02me know down below feed you feed me with the comments let me know down below let
20:07me know let your voices be heard would you have called this guy Mouse Jaw or
