00:00Here's another Masters that decided to give a redesign, a whirl. Here's a look
00:04at the Master Universe Masterverse, the new Eternia's Cyclone.
00:22This Masterverse action figure Cyclone is the new Eternia edition of the
00:27fist-flinging character with a high level of detail collectors have come to
00:31expect. This 7-inch scale figure has 30 points of articulation and metallic
00:35details. He comes with energy effects that are swappable, attaching to his arms
00:39or his shield, and has a removable mask and extra set of hands. Figure before we
00:44look at this propeller feller, let's take the tape measure and see how tall the
00:47new Eternia Cyclone stands. He isn't so new Eternia. The figure had been around for
00:51a little bit, although there was a sale going on over at Amazon. I picked up
00:55Cyclone at the same time I picked up Thunder Punch He-Man, and if you've seen
00:58my review of Thunder Punch He-Man, you know how well that went. Cyclone's looking
01:02good though, and he's actually standing at 7 inches in height, or Cyclone is
01:06gonna be about 18 centimeters tall. Yeah, when I picked up this guy, I picked up
01:10that guy. Here's what the figure looks like along with Thunder Punch He-Man. Yeah,
01:13he still does have his sword. Let's bring in a couple of other new Eternia figures
01:17so you can see some differences of sizes. He's gonna be about the same size though
01:21as Many Faces, and I think it only really has to do with the fact that Many
01:23Faces had a little dial on top of his head. Obviously, I'm cheating a little bit
01:27as well. He's not gonna be as tall as a Mecha Neck, just because, again, like I
01:30added that extra little extension in his neck. But here's also what the figure
01:33looks like with a Mattel Creations Cyclone, a figure that was only available
01:36on their sites. Happy to report that at least nothing's missing this time around
01:39for Cyclone. Figure does come in clue with two closed fists. Check. Figure comes
01:43in clue with a visor that goes over top of his helmet. Check. Comes in clue with a
01:46shield. Yes, and also comes in clue with two flame effects or twirling effects
01:50that can be attached onto the figure's body. Check, check, check, check, check. First,
01:53let's go back a little bit. The figure does come in clue with some swappable hands.
01:56Now, if you did want to, you could easily swap the hands out that he has. These are
01:59just gripping hands. Technically, he doesn't really have something to hold. I
02:02mean, you could really give these extra effect pieces, and if you wanted to, they
02:06could fit really in his hands. So if you want to have them displayed that way, I
02:09guess that could be a logical argument as to why you want to keep the
02:12open hands still on the ends of his forearms. But if you did want to change
02:15out the hands to closed fist variety, it's a simple case of popping off the
02:19pegs and replacing them with these ones instead. The figure also comes included with, of
02:24course, his shield. The shield is a little on the smaller side. I don't know really how
02:27much protecting he's going to be doing with it. It's been done here with a clear
02:31translucent yellowish plastic. It does actually have a peg here on the back
02:35that then allows to plug onto either sides of his arms, or it can also
02:38attach on the back of his body. Instead of actually just doing this, I want to
02:42actually start doing this. So the figure, if you want to, you can take the shield. I
02:45mean, as embarrassingly small as it may be, you can plug it onto the side of his
02:49arm like that. You can also do it on this side as well, or you can also do it on
02:53the back as well. Just take that and plug it onto the back, and you may already
02:57notice he's also got some holes on the sides. What are those for? The figure does
03:02also, like I said, he has these pieces. So let's put that down for a second. If you look
03:08at the effect pieces, they're not completely flat. See how they have a
03:11little bit of a curve to them? They also have pegs, and those same pegs are the
03:15exact same diameter as the shield. So with that, you can already kind of piece
03:18things together for yourself, that you can piece things together on the figure.
03:20These can attach onto his arms. You can also attach them into his hands.
03:25So let's go ahead. If you wanted to say, for example, we've established that you
03:29could put him into his hands. I don't think it's really the coolest look at
03:32all. It just kind of literally looks like you're just putting accessories into a
03:35figure hand that don't belong there in the first place. It's just to show you,
03:38though, it's the exact same size diameter. No, instead, if you want to plug him onto
03:41his arms, you can do that. And I think the reasoning why also they make him curved
03:45like this is that it contours, parallels the sides of his arms, so it doesn't get
03:50in close quarters, especially if you want to have it wrap around his arms. Even
03:53though he doesn't have the twirling effect that the original figure would
03:56have had, if you wanted to just like bend his arm, for example, bring his arm back
04:00a little bit, kind of can give the look a little bit like he's spinning around. Or
04:05what you can also do, too, is you can take your shield, and the shield will just
04:10plug back into his arm. Actually, you know what? No, we won't do that. I've just
04:13stopped myself for a second. Take the shield, and you can plug these on first.
04:18Now you can do them the exact same way, which I think is okay. I don't I don't
04:23think that's bad at all, but I think it's a better idea to twist one around so it
04:27looks like the shield itself is also spinning. Then you can go ahead and
04:32attach the shield onto his arm like that. And I think that just adds a little bit
04:37more cool shelf appeal to it. You can also, well, take that and put it on the
04:41back of his body. Now you can also, too, going back to the idea that these face
04:45the same way, just unplug this, spin this around, because if you go and look at the
04:50original Cyclone, I mean at least the one from Intel Creations, obviously he had
04:53this kind of ring that faced up like this. You can kind of get a similar look
04:57by the way of angling these facing straight up. Kind of gives you that same
05:01effect when you're looking at from the front. Now you can also, too, but wait
05:05there's more. You can also detach these, and the flames go on also on the
05:09back of his body. I don't know why you would want to do that, but it is there
05:12available as well as an option. So there's a lot of good stuff going on here with
05:16Cyclone. I mean it would have been an ultimate bummer had these all had
05:19different pegs, different sized pegs, where you wouldn't be able to do as much
05:23as you're doing right now. But that just looks so much cooler. I like the idea
05:26that it looks like it's spinning like this. So let's go ahead and remove this.
05:29We'll put that off to the side. The figure also comes included with a
05:32swappable face plate. It isn't so much swappable, I suppose, it's just actually
05:36going over top of his existing face. This is his existing face, which I think is
05:42good. You know, it takes sort of the idea that he's a blue-skinned character, and
05:45it doesn't modernize it too much where it feels like it doesn't look at all
05:49like the character. Like there's things about it that you can still see are
05:52callbacks to the original toy. Obviously this isn't the original toy, but then they
05:56add this extra piece. And with this, there's these little clips on the sides,
06:00and you basically just wedge it inside this helmet here. Kind of have to just
06:05wedge it in place. I feel like it looks now less like Cyclone, and it looks like
06:09a Transformer. Not a fan of it myself. I think the only thing I would probably
06:13end up doing with this face plate, other than just putting in a bag for right now,
06:16is if I had more than one Cyclone, I could ideally kind of think, okay,
06:20Cyclone's the main character, and then he would have like guardsmen with him. And
06:23then the guards would all have the face plates to make them then different from
06:27all the other characters. So like if you want to get more than one, which I don't
06:31know if I'm really all that tempted to get more than one just for the price of
06:34what these guys are going for already. But again, you could probably do that
06:37also as well. I just don't like the face plate myself. It's honestly, I feel just
06:41too good of a face to cover it now over by a face plate. The face plate, by the
06:44way, you just basically put your finger underneath the bottom of it, pop it right
06:47off. So we'll just leave it off to the side for right now. Again, going back and
06:51bringing, I don't have the original Cyclone. I had a Cyclone a long time ago
06:54as a kid. Got rid of that years ago. But I have the closest thing at least here.
06:57Here's the Mattel Creations version of him. Similar ideas of yellows and
07:01blues. Obviously they went with more of a metallic sheen than what we got with
07:04the more primary colors of yellows and blues here. He has again that little
07:08sensor screen there on the front. Is that like a radar dish? Sonar?
07:16Obviously there's more of a lenticular sticker used for Cyclone. What they've
07:21done here though for the Mattel of New Eternia version of him is they've
07:25actually just put like all the details essentially underneath the dome and then
07:29the plastic gun kind of gives a more distorted look to it. I wish that there
07:32was more of a lenticular idea added in here but you know I got to say like the
07:36dome gives a little bit more character to it as opposed to just simply being a
07:39sticker. Still has the fins on the sides. Now the fins are again a soft kind of
07:44more of a translucent blue plastic. It's the one thing I'm kind of worried about
07:47like moving the figure around. Luckily it does clear easily his shoulder but like
07:51if you like say you were moving his arm for example you put pressure
07:55against this. I feel like this would be an easy thing to pop these off. Let me be
07:59careful I don't do that. But again like the metallic blue works really quite
08:02well. I don't feel like it has to match the more matte finish that they gave for
08:05his face because again like you've got the the more metallic yellow with the
08:09reds here on the on the helmet. Of course that carries then into the the arms. The
08:11bands are to the sides. The metallic I gotta say works really well for the
08:15character. I'm surprised that I waited as long as I did to get this figure. It just
08:19again happened to be the case that there was a Black Friday sale at Amazon and
08:21they marked a lot of the larger scale Master Universe figures down. Then I
08:25picked up Thunder Punch He-Man. You know again missing the sword or otherwise and
08:28I also picked up like again Cyclone looks really good here. Again like when it
08:31comes to the details for the figure like I don't feel like there's anything here
08:34they modernized too much on him that I don't feel it looks at all like the
08:38original character. They've added just enough like updated tweaks to him but it
08:42still very much looks like like Cyclone to me. Now for the figures articulation
08:46Cyclone's head rotates all the way around despite having these little
08:49struts on the sides of his shoulders. It doesn't seem to at all impede movement
08:53in his head. So yeah it usually rotates back and forth up and down motion back
08:56and forth a little bit on the sway. Upper torso is gonna be on a bulge right
08:59the lower torso is just on a straight swivel. The arms rotate all the way
09:03around. You can also as well bring them out and even if you bring them out I'm
09:07gonna do it on this side also you can see that like the little fins that he's
09:11got on the sides of his arms don't get well they get pretty close to his
09:14shoulders but they don't feel like they're hitting them necessarily. If you
09:17bring them all the way in obviously the this part kind of sticks a little
09:20further forward. There's also a bicep swivel. The figure does have a double hinge
09:25on the elbow and the hands do rotate all the way around whether you want to
09:28use these hands or you want to use the closed fist variety. Legs split out. Now
09:32this version of Cyclone also has skirting. The original toy never had that.
09:35The skirting at least is a softer plastic here here and here so when it
09:39comes to moving the legs out there's nothing getting in the way of things at
09:42all. You take the legs and move forward sure you can move them back okay you can
09:46also swivel three cores the way up the thigh all the way around really if you
09:49wanted to. You can also double hinge the knee. Now I didn't notice though with my
09:54Cyclone the knees are really tight. Again it's not a bad thing at all. I'd
09:57much rather have tighter joints than overly loose joints but he's got a joint
10:00here he's got a joint here and just a little tighter on this figure. Swivel in
10:04the boots. Swivel all the way around really if you want to. Up and down
10:07movement here. An ankle rocker here and peg holes here. All in all though a good
10:12looking Cyclone. I had seen this figure for a while online. This is one of those
10:16cases where I guess I just wasn't in a hurry to get him right away. I don't
10:19really know why because Cyclone is just as much of my regular Origins figures as
10:23I really could see this guy now being part of my new Eternia collection. Just
10:27bringing back in here many faces and let's also bring back in here Mekanek.
10:34I keep forgetting Mekanek's name but again like a really nice nice looking
10:38Cyclone. The fact that they took essentially the idea of what the first
10:42Cyclone did the original the original vintage or that Origins version of him
10:46which I just happened at the Origins version of him you know again they've
10:49only tweaked the color scheme by now adding a metallic finish as opposed to
10:52more primary colors that Cyclone would have had but there's a lot of again
10:55aspects to him very much look like the original toy right down the fact that
10:59even if you wanted to like even though the original toy didn't have the disc on
11:02the back of his body the obviously the Mattel Creations did you can kind of
11:06replicate that as well by just simply bringing around the spin effect and you
11:09just simply attach that onto the back of his body for me at least though because
11:12they have the peg that's so universally accepted by the forearms the back of his
11:16body as well I'm gonna twist this and when I attach it onto the body it's
11:19gonna look like he's got a spinning shield nice-looking Cyclone even late to
11:23the game when it comes to having to look this guy I'm still really glad that I
11:26finally grabbed him ouch that looks painful ouch normally it would be
11:30painful but it doesn't seem to be as painful for a guy that's known for
11:34spinning like Cyclone I'm not gonna have him obviously displayed on the shelf
11:37like this the thing that I like about this is the compatibility of the
11:41accessories that include with the figure that you could take the shield you could
11:44take those extra spinning fiery I don't know what you would call them but you
11:48can attach them onto his arms right you can attach them on the back of his body
11:51you can attach them onto the shield you can actually attach the shield onto the
11:55back of the body by using the exact same peg holes everywhere released in three
11:59places on the figures body it means that there's a lot more that you can do with
12:02accessory that normally you could Cyclone though does look good one thing
12:06though I have left off obviously other than his closed fist is the face plate
12:10face plate works I'm sure for some it doesn't work necessarily for me I think
12:14the face is first of all too good too well painted to cover it already by a
12:18face plate I think also the face plate makes him look a little bit more like a
12:21transformer that doesn't jive for me but obviously if I do plan down the road to
12:25get any more Cyclones let's just say for arguments sake Amazon's got a real
12:29marked-up sale even more than Black Friday and they've marked this guy down
12:33to ten to fifteen dollars maybe just maybe I might pick up more than one and
12:37then I could display a couple on the shelf sort of the idea that you know
12:41you've got a main character masters that if he comes from a species or known
12:45warrior race that he'd have several of them that probably maybe just the same
12:48and then the guardsmen's would be the ones that have the face plate standard
12:52Cyclone wouldn't though what do you guys know think of the character let me know
12:55down below in the comment section again I know I'm a little later in the game
12:58looking at this guy than maybe some of the others out there but I did want to
13:01certainly offer up my own two cents of what I think of this guy and what I
13:05think of this guy it's a really nice-looking Cyclone do you agree with
13:08me disagree with me weigh in your thoughts of Cyclone down below in the
13:11comment section but also as well if you guys did enjoy this video you can help
13:15by a few things first hitting this video with a like but you guys want to
13:18stick around for more so more so I hope so obviously you guys can hit that
13:23subscribe you can also turn on as well the Bell notification but the thing you
13:26can always always do come back come back to this channel and that's the best way
13:29to know whenever new contents coming up I can tell you generally without usually
13:33without fail Monday to Friday there's always usually two videos a day every so
13:37often I may slack a bit but there's regular videos always popping up so as
