00:00I wonder if Krusty Lou Studios is gonna get a cut of this. Here's a look at the
00:03brand-new Jack Spacific. This is the Simpsons Krusty the Clown.
00:21Collect your favorite cartoon characters from the Simpsons TV series in wave two
00:27of the Simpsons five-inch figures featuring basic articulation. These
00:30iconic characters from the Simpsons are sure to please cartoon lovers and
00:34collectors alike. What does that say? Talk to the audience? Oh that's always death.
00:39Just before of course we get a closer look at the Jack Specific the Simpsons
00:42Krusty the Clown, let's take the tape measure and see just how tall the figure
00:45stands. He's gonna be, if we include the little tuft of hair that he has on the
00:49top of his head, about five inches in height. Or the funniest man in
00:53Springfield, debatable of course, is gonna stand about 13 centimeters tall.
00:56You want other Simpsons figures? Here's first what the figure looks like with
01:01Bart Simpson. Here's also what he looks like with Bartman. Bring in some of the
01:05larger characters though. Here's what he also looks like with Willy. Of course we
01:08have also looked at Homer Simpson. And here's also what he looks like with Otto.
01:12As we had also done this with before, I'm just gonna move actually Bartman
01:16over here. We'll also move Bart just a little bit right there. There we go.
01:20Let's also bring in his Super 7 counterpart. Much taller looking Krusty the Clown.
01:24Obviously though if people didn't get the chance to get the Krusty from Super 7,
01:28they probably would have saved also a little bit of extra cost.
01:30The one that we're getting here from Jack Specific is I think about the
01:33third the price of what we got from Super 7. Granted Super 7 did throw in a
01:37lot of extra bells and whistles, alternate head sculpts, episode-specific
01:41tied-in accessories. But if you want the bare-bones Krusty the Clown with very
01:44limited accessories, as you'll see in a second, can't really get any bit better
01:47than what we're getting with Jack's here. Now with Krusty the Clown here is
01:51actually getting released two ways. The larger more articulated version that
01:54we're looking at in this review. He's also getting a 2.5 inch scale that's
01:58part of wave 2. Limited on the articulation front, he's only gonna have
02:01five points of articulation. He's part of that same wave that's gonna have the
02:04partially winking Bart that has the slingshot, a sideshow Bob in prison
02:08outfit, and itchy and scratchy. The only figures I could actually see myself
02:11getting from that wave 2 2.5 inch scale is probably itchy and scratchy. I think
02:16they're gonna be fitting perfectly in scale because they're only really about that
02:19big. Do they have limited articulation? Yeah, but I would much rather an itchy
02:23and scratchy about that size and an itchy and scratchy about that size. For
02:27the accessories though that come included with the Krusty the Clown, it's right there,
02:30comes included with both a stand for the mic and of course the mic itself. You'll
02:34be happy to know as well that the mic is removable. It's simple just to remove it
02:37from the stand. It just clips in place. It does survive at least the Blizzard
02:40test, so if you're worried that this is gonna fall out of the stand or the neck
02:43quite easily, it's not. It can be attached into his hands. He does have
02:47actually gripping hands, so if you want to have him holding the mic to stand, you
02:50can do that. Or if you want to, you already know where this is going, you can
02:54also take the mic off and fit that also in his hand as well.
02:57None of that have absolutely sucked. Sorry. They've not made it be compatible with
03:03his hands and we wouldn't be able to hold it. It would just be there by
03:06accessory name only, but not be something that Krusty the Clown can
03:09actually hold in his hands. As you can see, he holds it perfectly fine. He
03:13doesn't have really any other accessories. I guess they probably could
03:16have included like a box of Krusty O's for example, without of course the
03:20serrated piece inside. But I guess for what he is, I mean to keep the cost down,
03:25they only give him like one accessory. Usually is the case when we look at
03:28these larger scale Simpsons figures from Jax, they only tend to include like one
03:31or two accessories. Krusty, I guess if you include both the neck and the mic, he
03:35has two accessories. Getting though a closer look at Krusty the Clown, you know
03:39one thing I will say, I'm gonna bring in the Super 7 release here just so you
03:42guys can see really the difference. Obviously size is really the biggest
03:45difference. I really honestly think I like the coloring a little bit more
03:49from Jax's release than Super 7's. Super 7's went a more paler approach when it
03:54came to Krusty's face. You can see as well with his hair, the
03:58nose on the front of his face and of course the stubbled chin or stubbled
04:01face down below. They kind of went again more lighter. The darker color also more
04:06apparent here that the Jax has a much darker pink where he had the lighter
04:10pink here for the Super 7 release. You know again like looking at the two, very
04:13much obviously both of them are Krusty the Clowns. I think honestly I like the
04:17coloring a little bit more for this one. It kind of actually reminds me of the
04:21earlier Simpsons episodes. We're talking like season 1, season 2 where they had a
04:25little bit more darker darker notable colors. I wonder if Smithers will ever
04:29get a season 1 release. He was very much a different color than we would get with
04:33Smithers later on in seasons. Head sculpts looking good though. It kind of
04:38goes with more just a neutral expression. I mean he doesn't have a big smile or
04:41anything like that nor does he have swappable heads. I'm sure it's not to say
04:44that we won't get ourselves a Krusty down the road. He may be released in
04:47prison outfit for example when he first gets charged with the the robbery of the
04:52Kwik-E-Mart or maybe they may release a couple of other versions of Krusty the Clown
04:55where he has different facial expressions than what he has right now.
04:58But I'm generally quite happy with it. The hair is pretty soft as well as the
05:03top of his head. He only has again a very limited articulation. The
05:07coloring on again his shirt is a little more of the darker pink as well. You can
05:11also say too that his bow tie is a much darker blue than the one that we get
05:15from Super 7. Again he still has the same standard levels of articulation as if
05:19you have been collecting the Simpsons figures by now you already know that
05:23he's gonna have the same poseability possessed in this figure that has pretty
05:26much been the case with all the Simpsons figures up to this point. Big
05:29large clown shoes down below. They have also some additional poseability there
05:34too so you can also rotate them back and forth up and down all that stuff that
05:37goes along with the territory. I will say though I'm happy that getting this guy
05:41out of the packaging he had tight joints. Some of these Simpsons figures I think
05:45Otto had this Bart may have also had this as well came out of the packaging
05:48with surprisingly loose joints for a figure I hadn't even touched yet even
05:53though I've touched Krusty several times. Stop that. I happen to report again
05:58like the joints seem pretty tight in this guy maybe a little loose on the one
06:00foot but it's not to the point where I feel like he's flopping around. You can
06:04easily put him down of course on a shelf. I don't feel like he has a bit of a
06:07wobbling issue that Super 7 release had but for the articulation though for
06:10Krusty the Clown his head's gonna of course rotate only back and forth. You're
06:13not at all gonna be getting a ball joint here. The arms do move all the way
06:18around. There is actually a hinge joint right here so you can move them. Actually
06:21there's a ball joint really connecting the shoulder to the rest of his body so
06:24you can move it back and forth forward and back that way. The figure does have a
06:27swivel in his bicep. Single hinge only in the elbow. No swivel here in the arm
06:32because basically all the swiveling is happening just below the sleeve. The
06:35hands also rotate back and forth. There's a waist swivel. Legs split out. Nice good
06:40ball joint happening there. Get a good gander at that. Okay maybe don't be
06:43looking at Krusty's crotch. Legs move forward. Legs move back. Get back on
06:48focus. The knees are on only just a single hinge and the hinge is kind of
06:53hard to get to. One good thing though is when you have the legs straight.
06:56Obviously you can see the cut right there straight through his leg but at
07:00least it keeps the legs somewhat seamless. Of course when it comes to his
07:03ankles they move up and down. You can rock them back and forth as well. The figure
07:06does also technically have pegs on the undersides of his feet but up to this
07:09point yet I have not seen any of these figures from Jack's Pacific Tuck to
07:14come included with display stands but you know and you can always really use a
07:16display stand that has been released by other figure companies. One last look
07:20though. Let's bring back in the Super 7 release of Krusty the Clown which I
07:24still have all of my Super 7 Simpsons figures on the shelf. I like the look of
07:28them. They obviously have one thing going for them. A lot more bells and whistles.
07:32This Krusty the Clown obviously only has just really the
07:36mic and the mic stand being his only bells and whistles but again a nice
07:39looking release. Now again if you don't like the larger scale Krusty the Clown
07:42this was like the what five inch scale. There's also half that size in the two
07:47and a half inch variety. Again like I don't think there's gonna be much
07:50different really between the two. I don't know how really invested I'm gonna be
07:53really in collecting the two and a half inch scale Simpsons figures just because
07:57I feel like you know with only having so much of a budget to go start buying
08:01figures you know if I'm getting just as good of the detailing that Jack's has
08:05done so far with the Simpsons figures in this larger scale you're
08:09getting the benefit of obviously more articulation on these characters. I don't
08:12feel like I'm all that invested anymore. I knew it this would happen like I knew
08:16that when I was gonna be looking at these here on this channel I was gonna
08:19eventually come to the decision that I was gonna be collecting one size over
08:22the other even though we had really looked at some of the 2.5 inch scale
08:26figures of the Simpsons earlier I think I'm now kind of settled on the idea I'm
08:29gonna only really be collecting the 5 inch scale. That being said though of the
08:33wave 2 of the 2.5 inch scale Simpsons the ones I'm still probably gonna be
08:37getting my hands on is itchy and scratchy just because the scale of those
08:40figures though being a little bit more limited articulation I think are gonna
08:43work a lot better not only with Krusty the Clown but all the other Simpsons
08:46figures we've looked at so far. Again no luck finding Krusty the Clown or any
08:51other Simpsons figure for that matter in local retail. Jack's is fine when it
08:55comes to distributing their Nintendo figures and yet Simpsons you can't find
08:59them at all here in Canadian stores. It only by off chance I went to a local toy
09:04show actually last week and of all the things I picked up one of the dealers
09:08did in fact have a Krusty the Clown. The one that we're looking at here for $30.
09:12$30 is a price I'm willing to pay. It's certainly a lot less than what Super 7
09:15was charging for their Krusty the Clown and it was the only one that I saw at
09:19that toy show. They also had an itchy they didn't have a scratchy. In hindsight
09:24I probably should have just grabbed the one that they had and then just sourced
09:27out try to find the other one but I was kind of hoping that I would be able to
09:30find both itchy and scratchy at the exact same time because again that's the
09:34only two figures of wave 2 of the smaller scale Simpsons figures I could
09:38actually see myself getting invested in. Just because again I think they're the
09:41perfect size for all the larger scale Simpsons figures we've been looking at
09:44so far here in this channel. Krusty the Clown looks quite good. Colors are good
09:48on this one as well a little bit darker obviously in Super 7. We discussed that
09:51all in this review. Comes with only just a very limited bare bones when it comes
09:55to accessories. Just a mic stand but he successfully holds both.
09:59The figure looks good. I mean for the posability that he possesses I'm happy
10:02to also report as well that he's not loose at all anywhere on his limbs.
10:06Elbows and knees seem to be something that tends to get loose over time with
10:10some of these Jack Simpsons figures. So far out the box Krusty the Clown is fine.
