00:00From school bus driver to one of wave one's fiver. Here's a look at the new
00:04Jack's Pacific. This is the Simpsons Auto.
00:18Collect your favorite cartoon characters from the Simpsons TV series with the
00:23first wave of the Simpsons five-inch scale figures featuring basic
00:26articulation. These iconic characters from the Simpsons are sure to please
00:29cartoon lovers and collectors alike. I had mustard? Just before of course we get
00:35a closer look at the new Jack's Pacific Simpsons Auto. The first the tape measure
00:39is going to tell us that the figure stands at four and a half inches in
00:42heights. He loves to get blotto. He already stands at about eleven and a
00:46half centimeters tall. As for where we are right now we've already had a look
00:50at Homer J Simpson and we followed things up with Bartholomew J Simpson.
00:54From a scale standpoint I think Otto's pretty scaled well with the other two
00:58figures that we've already had a look at. Obviously he should be a lot bigger
01:01than Bartholomew J Simpson but he shouldn't be as tall though as Homer. This is how you handle the
01:05Simpsons license. Otto questionably didn't need to be part of this first
01:09wave but considering that you already have heavy hitters like Homer and Bart
01:13in this wave you could justify Otto's inclusion. Speaking of inclusion one of
01:17the included accessories that come with Otto is of course his guitar. The guitar
01:22I'm guessing probably has been molded in this beige plastic and then they've
01:25painted the end in sort of a very tomatoish red. It does hold in his hand
01:29although it's the easiest if you have it held by the handle or the neck. If you
01:32try to hold it here it's just too thick of a piece of plastic. He does have
01:36gripping hands although again like he really has a harder time trying to get
01:39this on the end of the guitar. Honestly what I end up really just doing is
01:42getting the neck of the guitar in there and it snaps perfectly fine and you just
01:46have the other hand sort of up as if he's ready to strung his guitar. You may
01:50have already noticed something I noticed right away is the fact that Otto is once
01:53again loose in the elbows and I say once again not necessarily relating to Otto
01:57but it seems like already Homer and Bart have had loose elbows. Otto follows that
02:02trend as well. I mean you can probably already see how loose his elbows
02:05already are out of packaging. This just seems to be the maybe the type of joint
02:09that they're using but I don't know I'm just not happy by the condition of these
02:12joints right out of the packaging. This guy has only been out of the
02:15cardboard prison for maybe about I don't know like 15-20 minutes. I haven't done
02:20much at all really with his elbow joints and yet just look at the state of them.
02:23They're way too loose. One of the other included accessories may be not really
02:27considered an accessory because he does come included with his Walkman. His
02:29Walkman is permanently attached to the side. I don't think you can remove it. I
02:33think you're only just gonna break the plastic and then of course it attaches
02:36to his headphones which is like the Walkman. You can't remove it.
02:40You can't take these off his head. I don't think he necessarily needs them
02:43have them off anyway so it's always one of those things that characters known
02:45for having and it doesn't at all really limit his articulation because really to
02:48be fair he's already limited in articulation because of the size of his
02:51hair on his back so really gonna move his head back and forth you can have a
02:54little bit more problems. Some of the problems I do have though with Otto is
02:58more to do with paint than anything else. He's got a little smudge if I get my
03:02finger out of the way you probably can't even see right here right here you can
03:06see there's a little bit of orange sort of on smudged on the top of his nose.
03:09I've also got a little fleck there on the side so again like some of the paint
03:13generally I would imagine has been handled well I just happen to have just
03:16an Otto that just has a little bit of problems with paint on the front of his
03:19face. All in all though it looks a lot like Otto I just think they've done a
03:22nice job on giving him the overbite that he has off seeing the cartoon teeth are
03:26painted well eyes are painted well and even like the headphones again I would
03:29try to rip these off you're only just me upsetting yourself if you do that but
03:33again like none of this being removable the headphones are nicely painted I
03:37would imagine they probably would have painted these separately and then put
03:39them on top of his head rather than put it on top and then trying to paint
03:42around it because you only would have ended up either with black on the on the
03:45headphones you probably would have had blue somewhere on the large fro on the
03:48back of his head yeah of course he's got the pink shirt he's also got it down
03:51below the purple purple shorts and very bright orange sneakers for the figures
03:56articulation Oh can't also forget the fact that figure does have a little
03:59bracelet something also they has in the cartoon I don't know if I really would
04:02have included anything else I jokingly at the beginning this review said I had
04:05mustard I think if anything I was just thrown in the mustard such a such a
04:10ridiculous sort of accessory didn't need to even be there in the first place but
04:13just so more as a reference to the cartoon he sort of gets evicted and then
04:17he says did I have anything in the apartment they said we've found some
04:20dirty magazines I think it was and a jar of mustard he says I had mustard just a
04:24nice little included accessory anyways though the figures articulation if
04:27you're familiar already with the five-inch figures then you already know
04:31what you're gonna be getting here with auto you're just gonna be getting a
04:33little less of it just because he can't really rotate his head just because
04:36he's got so much hair so much foliage on the back of the body and roll only
04:41rotates back and forth because again like these figures don't have ball
04:43joints that's as much as you're gonna get out of the head as for the arms
04:46those easily can come out although depending on where really you have the
04:50hair will also dictate just how much movement you can get with these arms
04:53sometimes if the like the head is turned sideways obviously it's gonna prevent
04:57you from moving the arm all the way out their arms rotate forward and back he
05:01does have a swivel here but again like it's it shouldn't be this it shouldn't
05:05be so loose so quickly out of the packaging does also have an hinge in the
05:08elbow you can also if I hold on to this part you can rotate the forearm to hands
05:13rotate also all the way around hinging back and forth get your own hands out
05:17of the way I'm sorry I'm sorry you can rotate the waist the legs do split out
05:20there on ball joints you can bring the legs forward bring the legs back there
05:24is a swivel there actually where the knee attaches to the cuff of the pants
05:27or the shorts you can rotate it there he does actually still surprisingly have a
05:30knee bend similar to Bart that we looked at before and then he does also have
05:34articulation there in his boots or in his shoes like with the other two
05:37figures the figure does also have pegs and bombs of his feet so if you want to
05:41use a display stand I don't think you really need one but if you want to use a
05:44display stand you can certainly do that as well did Otto need to be part of this
05:48first wave no am I glad that he is yes I'm glad that he is because again like
05:53if you're gonna be releasing Simpsons characters obviously supporting
05:56characters is a big thing as well even though the line is called Simpsons even
06:00though the cartoon is called Simpsons you can't just focus solely on the
06:03family that you got a half supporting you got to have those B's the C's the D
06:07tier characters Otto I don't know if I would say is a B tier character he's
06:11certainly a supporting character that we see it quite often especially when the
06:13kids are being driven to Springfield Elementary would he have been made
06:17maybe perhaps could the wave have maybe used a different character in his place
06:22yes but considering again that we already have ourselves a Homer and a
06:26Bart already first wave into the out the gate I think Otto is a fine welcome
06:30addition honestly I'm more excited really for Willie than I am for Otto but
06:34considering though the fact that Otto is a character that makes appearances
06:37quite often in the cartoon I don't mind at all that he makes this appearance in
06:41this wave I don't does look the part and a part that he can easily play to
06:46considering that Jack specific are selling these five inch Simpsons figures
06:49for $18 a piece grant I'm not finding any of these at $18 a piece I'm having
06:54to pay a little bit more for them but they're at least an easier ask for your
06:58budget if you're looking to collect Simpsons merchandise I hate to keep
07:01going back to comparing these to super 7 ultimately though I got to think that
07:05super 7 would have released an auto and probably would have replaced one of the
07:08more main characters of the Simpsons but that auto probably would have had three
07:11alternate head sculpts I would be convinced that one of those heads
07:14probably would have been a rocking out face and I would even be convinced that
07:17he probably would have had a stack of magazines and a jar of mustard but the
07:20thing about that though is not everyone can afford at 80 to $100 figure I can't
07:24afford an 80 to $100 figure Jax is again more reasonable when it comes to pricing
07:29and considering again like auto is not a character I would have wanted right
07:32away but that I already have a Homer and I already have a Bart auto is an easier
07:37pill to swallow like I said these these guys aren't slated to release the third
07:41quarter of 2024 it's not to say that not everybody has to wait that long there in
07:45order for me obviously have these enhanced somebody's been able to lucky
07:48enough find these in stores I've heard that some Target stores have already
07:51started to stock these I mean obviously there are people that are getting their
07:54hands on these Simpsons figures here in Canada though unfortunately I'm kind of
07:57more really relegated to checking on Facebook and hope that someone is
08:01selling one over there what do you guys think of auto let me know down below in
08:04the comments section I really also want to ask you guys to if anyone's had
08:07already a chance to pick up any of these Simpsons figures are you also
08:10experiencing loose elbow joints not as much in the knees the knees aren't ones
08:14that are gonna be moving as much but I'm noticing really a lot of consistent
08:18problems when it comes to looseness and elbows and that shouldn't be a figure
08:21company that's so new and certainly so new out of the packaging either if you
08:26guys did enjoy this video one do it a solid throw like you guys want to stick
08:29around for more so I hope so even though we are kind of coming near the end of
08:33the Simpsons I still have yet to pick up the Willie but we are also gonna be
08:36looking at Bartman funny though enough is that four figures are listed on the
08:39back of the packaging for the wave one and yet Bartman's not one of them it's
08:43only Homer it's only Bart it's Otto and Willie Bartman must be the variant of
08:48that line so again we are gonna be looking at Bartman in the upcoming
08:51review make sure you're coming back here to check out that review and as always
08:54thanks for watching see you guys next time
