00:00Hello there, welcome to your latest Met Office forecast. It's been an unsettled start to
00:06the weekend outbreaks of heavy rain across central southern parts and it remains changeable
00:11right through the rest of the weekend and into Bank Holiday Monday for some of us as
00:15well with further showers and longer spells of rain quite breezy as well. But you can
00:20see some ridging of high pressure across England and Wales by Monday, some better weather to
00:26end the Bank Holiday weekend. But this morning it has been a wet picture across central southern
00:31parts of England, some bright echoes leading to some disruption on the roads first thing,
00:37but it is improving as we go through the afternoon. The rain is slowly starting to pull away from
00:43the south east but elsewhere a mixture of sunny spells and showers. Some of the showers
00:47will be heavy at times, quite frequent across parts of Northern Ireland, western parts of
00:52Scotland too. And a breezy day as well, particularly around the coast. It will feel quite cool
00:57for the time of year. Temperatures generally the mid to high teens feeling a little cooler
01:02with the brisk wind as well, highs around 19 or 20 Celsius. So a little below where
01:08they should be for the time of year. So if you're stuck under the cloud and the rain
01:11it will be disappointing for the afternoon. Into the evening and overnight further showers
01:16pushing in from the Atlantic, some clear spells in between, the driest weather across eastern
01:21parts of the UK. Cloud thickening by the end of the night across Northern Ireland with
01:25more persistent rain starting to move in here. Remaining quite breezy but fairly fresh air
01:30coming in off the Atlantic. So temperatures generally falling to around 9 to 11 Celsius
01:36for many of us. So quite a fresh start to Sunday. There will be plenty of sunny spells
01:40though across central and eastern areas. Showers from the word go in the west. And then thickening
01:45cloud as this next weather system moves in. We'll see rain across Northern Ireland spreading
01:49into parts of Scotland, Northern England, Wales, the Midlands, the West Country as well.
01:54Winds picking up further could be quite a blustery afternoon across central and northern
01:58parts of the UK. Drier across southern parts of England and south east England compared
02:04to Saturday. Fairly cloudy and breezy and for all still another rather cool day. Temperatures
02:10mid to high teens perhaps a little higher in the south east compared to Saturday. 19
02:14to 21 Celsius and it stays fairly blustery into the evening as well as further outbreaks
02:22of rain push their way eastwards. Showers in the south as well and then eventually the
02:27wind start to ease across southern parts as we head overnight into Monday. And as I mentioned
02:32there is an improvement for Monday across parts of England and Wales but staying quite
02:36unsettled across the north and the west. For more information on this you can follow us
02:41on our social media channels. See you again soon.
