00:00 Hello there, good afternoon. It is a drier day than yesterday for many of us but there
00:04 is a risk of some quite blustery showers through the rest of the day. They've been most frequent
00:09 across the west so far but this afternoon they will spread into more eastern areas,
00:13 particularly into the south east by this afternoon and the evening. Across north eastern areas
00:18 of Scotland and north eastern areas of England as well it should stay largely dry through
00:22 the day and here we'll see the best of the sunshine. But in the west, exposed to that
00:26 westerly breeze and if you do get caught in any of those showers it's going to be feeling
00:30 much colder than of late. But these temperatures are actually much closer to seasonal average.
00:36 The showers will continue across the south and east through this evening but further
00:40 west and north it should turn drier as the evening progresses but you can't rule out
00:45 the risk of the odd shower here and there. But for many of us it will be a largely dry
00:50 and clear night. That's going to allow for quite a widespread frost to develop by Saturday
00:55 morning, particularly across parts of Scotland and northern England. Here it could be as
00:59 low as minus six by tomorrow morning so there is a risk of ice on any surfaces that are
01:03 wet from any showers through the day. There could also be some quite extensive mist and
01:08 fog across central and eastern areas. That could be fairly slow to clear through Saturday
01:12 morning but away from that it's going to be a dry and sunny start to the weekend. The
01:17 best of the sunshine will be through the morning as cloud will bubble up as the day progresses.
01:22 That will allow some showers to break out here and there across the UK. But showers
01:26 will be much fewer and further between and they will be much lighter than today. So many
01:31 areas should get away with a dry Saturday and in the sunshine. Yes it is colder than
01:36 it has been lately but it's not going to be feeling too bad at all as the winds will be
01:39 fairly light. It stays quite settled through Saturday evening so it will be a dry end to
01:44 the day but temperatures will fall away quite quickly once again. So it's going to be another
01:49 very cold night and start to the day on Sunday. But we will see a clearer sky so less of a
01:55 risk of any mist and fog developing on Sunday morning. So a cold start to the day on Sunday.
02:00 Should stay largely dry across northern areas but it's in the south where there's a chance
02:04 of some quite wet weather. There is some uncertainty in the details of how far north this rain
02:08 will push. It's most likely across the south and east but it could spread further west
02:13 into parts of south Wales and across the Midlands as well. So keep up to date with the details
02:18 on that if you are in those areas on Sunday and you can do that by subscribing to our
02:21 YouTube channel. See you later on.
