00:00Good morning. Yesterday was the warmest day of the year so far. It's going to feel a lot
00:05fresher out there, especially in the west, although we are still holding on to the legacy
00:09of that hot weather across the extreme east of the country. Further to the west, thanks
00:14to this frontal system, we have a fair amount of cloud and rain pushing in and that band
00:19of cloud and rain will move steadily eastwards across parts of Northern Ireland and into
00:24parts of the south and west during the course of this morning. Ahead of this band, a good
00:30deal of bright and strong summer sunshine, so a fairly decent afternoon to come across
00:35parts of London and the south east. And that strong sunshine will really get to work on
00:39those temperatures. Again, temperatures rising across parts of the south and east up into
00:44the high 20s, so feeling quite oppressive here, especially with a little bit more humidity
00:48in the atmosphere. Further to the west, thanks to all this cloud, temperatures generally
00:53where they should be for the time of year. But across parts of Northern Ireland and eventually
00:59across parts of the northwest, it's a fairly bright end to the afternoon and evening. And
01:04as this band moves eastwards, skies will gradually clear from the west, though that band be fairly
01:11sluggish to actually push into the south and east overnight. Overnight temperatures generally
01:19down on recent values, so feeling a little bit more comfortable for people to actually
01:22get a good night's sleep. But one or two rural spots may see temperatures just as low
01:27enough, just low enough to actually dip into high single figures. But it's a bit of a grey
01:32and damp start, especially across the south and east on Wednesday morning as this band
01:38slowly edges eastwards. But conditions are gradually improving from the west, particularly
01:44across parts of Wales, the southwest and northern England, with a fair number of sunny spells
01:51in the mix. And despite the sunshine, temperatures generally around where they should be for
01:56the time of year, with highs of 23 or 24. And that changeable theme continues for the
02:03remainder of the week, although there may be a spell of heavy rain moving in from the
02:08north and west later. Thanks for watching and please stay tuned for the latest updates.
02:15Have a good day.
