00:00Good morning and welcome to your latest weather update from the Met Office. It's going to
00:05be a much drier and brighter day for much of the country today, but there will still
00:09be a little bit of rain at first, clearing to the southeast during the morning. But most
00:13of the UK will see this ridge of high pressure acting to suppress those showers. Later on
00:17in the week, we'll see it further frontal system arriving from the west, giving us some
00:21more unsettled conditions in towards the midweek. But back to this morning. So we do have this
00:26remnants of this old front giving some heavier bursts of rain through this morning, but actually
00:30for the bulk of the country, it's going to be a dry and bright start to the day. Heading
00:34through this morning, there will be some further showers developing through the Midlands up
00:38towards South Scotland, but these will be much lighter than those seen on Monday and
00:42a bit more few and far between. Temperatures again are going to be warmer than yesterday
00:46for much of the country, and we could still see up to 25 degrees in the southeast. A dry
00:53and bright evening for most of the UK. Those showers will be slowly dying away as we head
00:57through this evening, and there'll be lots of clear spells around. We will see a bit
01:01more cloud moving into western Scotland and Northern Ireland as we head through the overnight
01:05period to temperatures largely holding up into the double figures. We will see the odd
01:10mist and fog patch forming, but those mist and fog patches won't be lasting too long
01:15and I'll be quite another dry and bright start to the day on Wednesday. There'll be a couple
01:20of showers around, but the bulk of the country again will be quite dry. We will start to
01:24see some cloud arriving from the west, just acting to give a bit more cloud across Northern
01:29Ireland. Here we'll see those temperatures down a little bit underneath the cloud, but
01:32actually further east it's still going to be quite warm and we're going to see temperatures
01:36up to perhaps 26 or 27 close to London. So another warm day in store on Wednesday, but
