00:22July 28th.
00:27In the U.S., a current Minnesota governor, Tim Blass, accepted the Democratic Party's
00:32nomination for being the running mate of Kamala Harris on the electoral race.
00:39And the Democratic Republic of the Congo registered another 1,000 MPOCs case in just one week.
00:49Hello, welcome to From the South, I'm Ana Marrero from the Telesur headquarters in Caracas,
00:57Venezuela.
00:58We'll be with the news, stay with us.
01:12On Thursday, the President of the Venezuelan Supreme Court, Carizlia RodrĂguez, certified
01:18in an unobjectable way the results of the presidential elections by the electoral body
01:22on the elections of July 28th.
01:24In this regard, the Supreme Court of Justice ratified the results of the National Electoral
01:29Council, where Nicolás Maduro was democratically elected as President of the Liberal Republic
01:34of Venezuela.
01:35This way, the constitutional organ verified the contingent resources collected in order
01:41to certify in an unrestricted and unequivocal manner the results of the electoral process
01:49carried out.
01:50Meanwhile, RodrĂguez also urged the National Electoral Council to publish the results of
01:54the electoral gazettes as contemplating Article 155 of the Electoral Process Organic Law.
02:07I certify in an unobjectionable manner the electoral material expertly certified, and
02:15this Court validates the results of the presidential election of July 28th, 2024 issued by the
02:24National Electoral Council where the citizen Nicolás Maduro was elected as President of
02:29the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela for the constitutional period 2025 to 2031.
02:38It is so decided.
02:44The Attorney General of Venezuela, Tarek William Saab, together with the Foreign Affairs Minister
02:49Ivan Gil, presented before the diplomatic corps accredit in this country evidence of
02:56the violent conspiracy and attempt coup d'etat perpetrated by the fascist ultra-right wing
03:01that lost the elections last July 28th.
03:06In a report complemented with videos showing those responsible for the violent acts promoted
03:11by the extreme right, led by economic and political sectors of the United States through
03:16María Corina Machado and Edmundo González, the head of the Venezuelan Public Ministry
03:22trusts that the governments will take note of the destabilization attempts against the
03:26country.
03:27Who can say that it is a peaceful demonstration to attack the CNA, education and hospital
03:36units, attacks on the police headquarters, public transportation units, attacks on innocent
03:42people?
03:43So I believe that the report before the diplomatic corps has caused a great impact and I have
03:47asked them, because it is a duty and an obligation, that they take note of what we have said and
03:53replicate it to their governments.
03:55There has to be a correspondence.
04:00The Venezuelan Minister of People's Power for Foreign Affairs, as host of the event,
04:05said that in the context of international relations there is a new challenge, because
04:09there are governments that reject the institutionality and will of the Venezuelan people, guided
04:14by the messages they collect from social networks.
04:18Nowadays, virtual reality is taking over the reality of social networks and even surpasses
04:23the foreign ministers themselves.
04:25But this effort made by the Venezuelan foreign ministry and the Venezuelan Attorney General's
04:29office is precisely to combat this lie that, unfortunately, in some foreign ministries
04:34of the world is making the information.
04:37The Attorney General of the Republic, Tarek William Saab, in this stage that is the Sucre
04:42Hall of the Yellow House, headquarters of the Cancillery, presented before the diplomatic
04:47corps of Venezuela the elements that allow to demonstrate the amount of violence that
04:51has been presented and also the situation that has meant that actions of the ultra-right
04:55prevented a normal process after the diplomatic process of July 28.
05:04The Venezuelan Institute for Scientific Research report on the breakthrough of one of many
05:12bone marrow tooth threats that had impact diseases on the population.
05:17The researcher seeks to prove the chance of taking stem cells from a human being, placing
05:25them in many organs and generating blood cells with the aim of revolutionizing the treatment
05:33of diseases such as leukemia and plasmatic anemia.
05:39Dr. José Cardier, head of the IVC's cells therapy unit, stated that this advance has
05:49huge potential to improve the life of patients with blood diseases and noted that the Ministry
05:55of Science and Technology has given great support to the project, showcasing its commitment
06:01to the development of new technologies.

07:45incredible campaign.
07:52And a thank you to President Joe Biden for four years of strong, historic leadership.
08:05It's the honor of my life to accept your nomination for Vice President of the United States.
08:19We're all here tonight for one beautiful, simple reason.
08:24We love this country.
08:29And the Democratic National Convention in the United States finally discussed the issue
08:33of immigration.
08:34It waited until the third day to do so, and to many experts, the compass is still lost.
08:40Among those present were the Senators who helped negotiate the controversial immigration
08:46pact with the Republicans, who proposed severe restrictions in the asylum system and offered
08:52no option for the legalization of 11 million undocumented migrants.
08:57The pressure put on the Democrats by the November 5th election campaign against Donald Trump
09:03has led the party's platform approved last Monday to start shifting its immigration policy
09:10towards a license reform.
09:32Moving on, on Thursday, Israeli occupation forces caused widespread destruction in a
09:38Tulkarem refugee camp.
09:39In this sense, Faisal Salama, head of the Popular Committee for Services of Tulkarem
09:47Refugee Camp, denounced that Israeli attacks have caused major damage to the streets, infrastructure
09:52and private property, including sewage water, the electricity and communication system.
10:04Also in Palestine, Israeli occupation forces committed three massacres against families
10:10in the Gaza Strip over the last 24 hours, resulting in the killing of at least 42 Palestinians
10:16and the injury of 163 others.
10:20In this sense, medical and health sources affirmed that the Palestinian death toll from
10:25the Israeli outlaws since October 7, 2023, has risen to 40,265 reported fatalities, with
10:36an additional 93,144 individuals sustained injuries, adding that the majority of the
10:44victims are women and children.

11:48The Democratic Republic of the Congo registered another 1,000 pox cases in just one week.
11:54African health care authorities bought the produce, allocated and distributed vaccines
12:02as they are desperately needed.
12:05The World Health Organization declared monkey pox outbreaks as a global emergency.
12:10Smallpox cases, symptoms such as fever, pain and more severe cases, lesions of the face,
12:16hands, breasts and genitals.
12:19The virus is spread by close skin contacts, including sexual intercourse.
12:30Today, the mpox affects over 17 African countries, so we are talking about a continental emergency.
12:39Secondly, regarding our situation in the Democratic Republic of Congo, we amount to 16,700 cases
12:49and 570 deaths from the disease.
12:53The novelty of this virus is that it affects every time more young people and even many
12:59minors under 15 years old.
13:01Meanwhile, British Emeritus Professor Jim Withworth already granted that the new mpox
13:09variant is provided to be more lethal.
13:13But this is a different variant.
13:15This is clade 1b and this seems to be even more lethal than any of the variants of mpox
13:24that we've seen before.
13:26It's got a mortality rate of about 3-4% overall and it's higher, perhaps around 8-10% in children
13:36and in pregnant women.
13:38Otherwise, in Thailand, the Department of Disease Control reported a suspect first case
13:44of the new and more dangerous strain of mpox.
13:50We are here at the press conference today not to confirm that we found a patient with
13:56mpox clade 1b variant.
13:59This patient is suspected to have, but does not 100% have.
14:08The mpox clade 1b variant.
14:11At least 17 workers died and 3 others were injured in an explosion at a pharmaceutical
14:16plant in India.
14:17In this regard, authorities report that the fire occurred in a pharmaceutical unit in
14:24the district of Anakapalli.
14:26Meanwhile, the report also added that rescue operations were underway after the explosion
14:32located the injured and the deceased.
14:36On the other hand, investigators do not rule out that the explosion was caused by a gas
14:41leak that eventually reached an electrical panel, but they are still awaiting the results
14:46of the investigation to determine the specific cause.
14:50On Thursday, the Federal Security Service and the Armed Forces of Russia repulsed an
15:11attempted incursion of a Ukrainian armed group into the Buryatian region northwest of the
15:18Kuril region.
15:19In this regard, the governor of the region, Alexander Bogumas, stated that the units have
15:26eliminated the perpetrators from the border, leaving the situation at the site of the clash
15:32stabilized and under the control of the regional operational headquarters.
15:41The United Nations on Wednesday expressed concern over a report of the possible use
15:46of nuclear weapons in the United States in the face of an alleged threat from China.
15:51In this regard, U.S. spokesman for the organization, Secretary-General Stefan Duharric, said he
15:57was concerned about reports that President Joseph Biden had approved a classified strategic
16:03nuclear plan that changed the approach to China.
16:08Meanwhile, Duharric stressed that the United Nations indications would work on a nuclear
16:13weapons issue in areas with dialogue and diplomacy as a priority.
