01:00Hello welcome to From the South, I'm Ana Marrero from the Telesur headquarters in Caracas,
01:04Venezuela.
01:05We'll be with the news, stay with us.
01:21The Attorney General of Venezuela Tarek William Saab stated that in the coming hours the citizen
01:25Edmundo Gonzalez will be the opponent to testify before the prosecutor's office.
01:30Saab summoned the main opposition leader to render statements on his rejection of the
01:35final judgment issued by the Supreme Court of Justice in which the re-election of President
01:39Nicolás Maduro was ratified.
01:41The Attorney General stated that González Urrutia did not recognize the electoral results
01:45given by the National Electoral Council, nor that the ratification of the Supreme Court
01:49of Justice.
01:50I would like to announce that in the upcoming hours, the citizen Edmundo González Urrutia
02:01will be subpoenaed by the prosecutor's office on the grounds of the ongoing investigation,
02:05so that he can provide statements on his self-incrimination as he declares himself accountable for the
02:10website that has usurped nothing more and nothing less than the quality and authority
02:14that only corresponds to the Venezuelan electoral power.
02:17He will have to render accounts.
02:19He will have to appear.
02:20The government of Venezuela condemned in an official communique the statement issued by
02:28several countries of the region in relation to the recent Supreme Court's ruling on the
02:33presidential election's results, and affirmed that this government's intent to continue
02:38to violate an international law.
02:40The Venezuelan communique, which was issued through the Bolivarian nation's foreign minister
02:45Iván Gil, stated that Venezuela rejects in the strongest terms the road and isolated
02:51statements released by the governments of Argentina, Costa Rica, Chile, Ecuador, the
02:56U.S., Guatemala, Panama, Paraguay, Peru, Dominican Republic, and Uruguay.
03:02The document denounced that the 11 governments intend to continue violating international
03:07law by committing an unacceptable act of interference in matters that only concern Venezuelans.
03:13In other part, the text stressed that Venezuela demands absolute respect for its sovereignty
03:19and independence, one after the intense struggle against the Mazo-style empires, which insist
03:25on getting their hands on the natural resources that do not belong to them.
03:30The communique also sentenced that these governments, which their position endures and become accomplices
03:38of the crime violence that attack health centers, schools, universities, means of transformations
03:45and national symbols, and that left a number of people murdered and wounded with the use
03:51of transnational criminal guns, are there for that purpose.
04:02The president of Venezuela, Nicolás Maduro, urged them to maintain respect for the public
04:07powers after the Supreme Court of Justice ratified his victory in the presidential elections.
04:11During a meeting with the people of the state of La Guaira, the president congratulated
04:15the Supreme Court of Justice for its technical and legal work in the electoral litigation
04:21in defense of democracy.
04:22Likewise, the national executive expressed that in view of the attempts to generate violence
04:27by the Venezuelan extreme right wing and U.S. allies, dialogue is the only way for peace
04:34to prevail.
04:37Today, the Supreme Court of Justice in its electoral chamber, after doing a technical,
04:52scientific, professional and legal work grounded in the laws as the judicial power of the nation
04:59has issued a historical and final judgment.
05:03And we say, from the streets of La Guaira and of Venezuela, holy word, absolute respect
05:15for the public powers, respect for the right to peace, respect for national sovereignty,
05:22and through justice to continue on the path of peace, work, dialogue, national union,
05:30present and future consensus, respecting the constitution and respecting the people.
05:48Likewise, the president assured that he supports the proposal presented by the National Assembly
05:55to reform all electoral laws and not to allow the participation of those who do not obey
06:00the laws.
06:01I agree with the proposal that has arisen in the National Assembly today and I say so.
06:11Enough with fascism.
06:13Enough with the far right in Venezuela.
06:17Fascism won't pass neither by the bad ones nor by any other.
06:22I agree with the proposal that has arisen in the National Assembly to make a reform
06:28of all the electoral laws and that those who ignore the laws, the public powers, the constitution
06:37and intend to impose a fascist regime, they cannot participate in electoral processes.
06:48In Venezuela, the Supreme Court of Justice unobjectionably certified the results of the
06:54presidential elections of July 28, presented by the National Electoral Council.
06:58Let's see the details.
07:01During a solemn session in the premises of the country's highest court, the president
07:07of the Supreme Court of Justice, Caricela RodrĂguez, validated the results of the presidential
07:12elections, which granted victory to Nicolás Maduro Moros as re-elected president of Venezuela
07:17for the 2025-2031 term.
07:20I hereby certify in an unobjectionable matter the electoral material and validate the results
07:34of the presidential election of July 28, 2024, issued by the National Electoral Council in
07:43which Nicolás Maduro was elected as president of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela.
07:50For the constitutional period 2025-2031, it is so decided.
08:02In addition, the magistrate of the Supreme Court of Justice also stated that the expert
08:06analysis of the tally sheets coincided with the machines in the totalization room.
08:12Based on the results obtained in the expertise process, we can conclude that the bulletins
08:20issued by the National Electoral Council regarding the 2024 presidential election are supported
08:28by the tally sheets issued by each of the voting machines deployed in the electoral
08:35process, and, likewise, these tally sheets maintain full coincidence with the records
08:43of the databases of the national totalization centers.
08:52Consequently, the president of the judiciary urged the National Electoral Council to publish
08:57the final results of the electoral process of last July 28, in accordance with the provisions
09:02of the electoral law.
09:08The National Electoral Council is urged to publish the final results of the electoral
09:13process, held on July 28, 2024, for the election of the president of the Bolivarian Republic
09:19of Venezuela in the Electoral Gazette of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela, as provided
09:25in Article 155 of the Organic Law of Electoral Processes.
09:33Likewise, the president of the Supreme Court of Justice informed that the former presidential
09:39candidate of the ultra-right, Edmundo González, did not comply with the call made by the Electoral
09:45Chamber of the Supreme Court of Justice and did not submit the electoral material requested.
09:52That the former candidate Edmundo González Urrutia did not attend any of the phases of
09:59this process, to which he was summoned, and therefore, he did not comply with the order
10:05of this, the, highest instance of the contentious electoral jurisdiction of the Bolivarian Republic
10:12of Venezuela, nor with the consignment of the tally sheets, the list of witnesses, nor
10:18any electoral material.
10:20Consequently, he disregarded the mandate in frank and respect to the judicial authority.
10:30In this context, the Attorney General…
10:34Ana, we go live to listen to the Vice President of the Venezuelan Republic, Delsi RodrĂguez,
10:39and her statements.
10:41Because they are superior to Venezuela.
10:56They believe, as Washington supports them, the Department of State of the United States
11:03and the fascist governments of the world, they believe that since then they can do whatever
11:09they want in Venezuela.
11:10They are wrong, since we have a lot of people in Venezuela and a lot of history and also
11:16a lot of institutions here to grant the peace and tranquility of our Republic.
11:23And they said it, that they were not going to recognize, but their results.
11:28And that's why González Urrutia also said that he was not going to sign the agreement
11:38to recognize the results.
11:41They were preparing so days before the elections, and just the day before, they bought an Internet
11:50domain where they published the results.
11:54And based on those fake results, they sold the world's lie.
12:02But the true fraud was the one they were committing, they were consuming.
12:10Imagine you, what a danger for Venezuela, repeating this history of Juan Guaido.
12:18But this time, they said, we didn't write the formula of taking anyone and proclaiming
12:28President of Venezuela.
12:31Let's pretend it's a candidate.
12:34Let's pretend that there's a candidate and show it around, the supposed candidate.
12:42But they also said that the results were the ones they had.
12:47An enterprise that committed electoral fraud in the name of the United States and other
12:53countries around the world that responded to the orders of the Washington government.
12:59And here they repeated it.
13:01But they never thought that the Venezuelan people in such a few times defended democracy
13:08and rebelled constitutional order immediately.
13:13That our armed force and our institutions for security, along with the people, defended
13:21Venezuela's peace, defended Venezuela's tranquility.
13:26But this doesn't mean that they're not responsible, Gonzalez Urrutia and Maria Corina Machado,
13:33of the many deaths that we had, more than 12,000 in those days after the elections of
13:41July the 28th.
13:42They are responsible and they have to pay in front of justice.
13:47Since they left against our officials, against our police force, against our state police,
13:58they attacked them and murdered them.
14:00They have to pay.
14:02If they pretend to be supported by the United States, then show your face, present yourself
14:10in front of justice like it's demanded.
14:17And I, in the name of the president, Nicolás Maduro, I want to thank this document that
14:26comes from you, from the social movements in its different expressions, because you
14:40are calling for democracy.
14:43And also, it's very important that after that fraud that they pretended to impose in our
14:48homeland, to the world web of fascists, support them.
14:55It is important that our answer is keep working for Venezuela, keep guaranteeing our future
15:01of peace and tranquility, because we have, yes, a blockade that we have to fight to ensure
15:07social happiness of our people.
15:12And this Sunday we have something beautiful, the election, the election of the 4,500 districts
15:23to choose the projects of our community in front of, to face fascism, to face fascism,
15:31more democracy, more people's participation, to face fascism, government of all the popular
15:38sectors of Venezuela.
15:40They believe that they can take the power from the people, but Chávez did an indestructible
15:48power that has allowed that Venezuela is seen today with amazement in front of all things
15:57that we have, the commercial blockade, dictatorship of social media and algorithms that promote
16:07disease of hate and fascism.
16:12When we developed the Love Project, we said it.
16:16The owners of the great technological empires, when they went to the Congress of the United
16:24States, they said that the algorithms privileged death to life, hate to love, violence to peace.
16:37Social media became algorithms to support violence, to support death, to support hate,
16:45and that's why I, as Venezuelan, feel sadness when I hear some of the detainees saying,
16:54yes, I killed her, because in social media they said that we have to kill Chávez.
17:03We don't need to allow that disease that they are creating to our young people in our society.
17:11We need to create a powerful education from schools and family, inculcate values, the
17:20values that mean appreciate our lives and other people's lives, what means to respect
17:27life itself and others' lives, what means friendship, the value of friendship and brotherhood.
17:36Above hate, above hate, love must prevail, and that's why, in the name of the President,
17:46I receive this document with love as the expression of your love for Venezuela, your love for
17:53preserving peace, taking care of peace that has took care of us, because extreme right
18:01since Chávez in 1998 came to power, they haven't rest with their hate.
18:11The extremists of yesterday are the ones we are seeing in the pictures today.
18:16The images are the same, the faces are the same, they don't change.
18:20The opposites, they have become people without soul.
18:25They don't care about murdering.
18:27They don't care about condemning a whole nation to economic blockade.
18:32They don't have a soul.
18:34That is why we have this law against fascism and any kind of expression of fascism, because
18:46we mean what meant in Europe the fascism disease that came from the United States and caused
18:56the Second World War, and we from Venezuela have responsibility not only for our people
19:02but also for humanity, a human humanity, like MartĂ said.
19:08Humanity must be human, and fascism never will triumph.
19:14Love, peace, and brotherhood, and friendship will always triumph.
19:22Long life for Venezuela.
19:30Those were the statements of the Vice President of Venezuela, Delsi RodrĂguez.
19:35Now let's take a short break, but remember you can now join us on our TikTok account,
19:39Celestor English.
19:59Welcome back to From the South.
20:05During a solemn session in the premises of the country's highest court, the President
20:09of the Supreme Court of Justice, Caricela RodrĂguez, validated the results of the presidential
20:15elections, which granted victory to Nicolás Maduro Moros as re-elected President of Venezuela
20:20for the 2025-2031 term.
20:24I hereby certify in an unobjectionable matter the electoral material and validate the results
20:37of the presidential election of July 28, 2024, issued by the National Electoral Council in
20:46which Nicolás Maduro was elected as President of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela for
20:54the constitutional period 2025-2031.
20:59It is so decided.
21:05In addition, the magistrate of the Supreme Court of Justice also stated that the expert
21:09analysis of the tally sheets coincided with the machines in the totalization room.
21:17Based on the results obtained in the expertise process, we can conclude that the bulletins
21:24issued by the National Electoral Council regarding the 2024 presidential election are supported
21:32by the tally sheets issued by each of the voting machines deployed in the electoral
21:38process and, likewise, these tally sheets maintain full coincidence with the records
21:46of the databases of the national totalization centers.
21:54Consequently, the President of the Judiciary urged the National Electoral Council to publish
21:59the final results of the electoral process of last July 28, in accordance with the provisions
22:04of the electoral law.
22:09The National Electoral Council is urged to publish the final results of the electoral
22:15process, held on July 28, 2024, for the election of the President of the Bolivarian Republic
22:22of Venezuela in the Electoral Gazette of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela, as provided
22:28in Article 155 of the Organic Law of Electoral Processes.
22:33Likewise, the President of the Supreme Court of Justice informed that the former presidential
22:39candidate of the ultra-right, Edmundo González, did not comply with the call made by the Electoral
22:44Chamber of the Supreme Court of Justice and did not submit the electoral material requested.
22:52That the former candidate Edmundo González Urrutia did not attend any of the phases of
22:59this process, to which he was summoned, and therefore, he did not comply with the order
23:05of this, the, highest instance of the contentious electoral jurisdiction of the Bolivarian Republic
23:11of Venezuela, nor with the consignment of the tally sheets, the list of witnesses, nor
23:17any electoral material.
23:19Consequently, he disregarded the mandate in frank and respect to the judicial process
23:25and the mandate in frank and respect to the judicial authority.
23:32In this context, the Attorney General of Venezuela, Tarek William Saab, highlighted the importance
23:37of the work of the Supreme Court of Justice in the fulfillment of justice for the defense
23:42of democracy.
23:47The Electoral Chamber of the Supreme Court of Justice has issued a truly transcendental
23:51and historical ruling for the country.
23:54I also consider as Attorney General of the Republic that the same is a mandatory compliance
23:59in all its parts.
24:01It validates the electoral resource issued by the only existing electoral power in the
24:06country, which is the National Electoral Council in the terms already known.
24:15For his part, the Foreign Affairs Minister of Venezuela, Iván Gil, demanded the international
24:20community to stop foreign interference in the internal affairs of the Venezuelan people.
24:28Today it is clear, the whole process is well written, how the details of the electoral
24:33process were carried out, the competences of the Supreme Court of Justice, its Electoral
24:38Chamber and the competences of the National Electoral Council, and it is very important
24:43for the world to know that in Venezuela the constitution of the Bolivarian Republic has
24:47triumphed, the rule of law has triumphed, its institutions have triumphed, and once
24:52again in Venezuela we demand respect, we demand non-interference in internal Venezuelan affairs,
24:58which as you have been able to see live and direct on television, are matters that have
25:04a solution within the framework of our constitution.
25:09With this final ruling, the Supreme Court of Justice ratified the victory of the re-elected
25:14president, Nicolás Maduro, in the elections of July 28, after the campaign promoted by
25:19the extreme right-wing, that sought to disregard the powers of the Venezuelan state and to
25:24implant an alleged matrix of fraud, while through social networks they incited fascist actions.
