00:00In the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Spirit, peace be with you.
00:20We acknowledge our sins on this Feast of the Transfiguration, when Jesus was manifest for
00:25who He really is, the Son of God.
00:29You forgive our sins, Lord have mercy.
00:32You call us away from fear into love, Christ have mercy.
00:37You heal us with your amazing love, Lord have mercy.
00:41May Almighty God have mercy on us, forgive us our sins, and lead us into healing and
00:46life everlasting.
00:49Glory to God in the highest, and on earth peace to people of good will.
00:54We praise you, we bless you, we adore you, we glorify you.
00:58We give you thanks for your great glory, Lord God, Heavenly King, O God, Almighty Father,
01:06Lord Jesus Christ, Only Begotten Son, Lord God, Lamb of God, Son of the Father.
01:12You take away the sins of the world, have mercy on us.
01:16You take away the sins of the world, receive our prayer.
01:20You are seated at the right hand of the Father, have mercy on us.
01:24For you alone are the Holy One, you alone are the Lord, you alone are the Most High,
01:28Lord Jesus Christ, with the Holy Spirit in the glory of God the Father, Amen.
01:34Let us pray.
01:40O God, who in the glorious transfiguration of your Only Begotten Son confirmed the mysteries
01:45of faith by the witness of the Fathers, and wonderfully prefigured our full adoption to
01:51Sonship and Daughtership in Christ, grant, we pray, to your servants that listening to
01:57the voice of your Beloved Son, we may, through your grace, merit to become coheirs with Him
02:03who lives and reigns with you in the unity of the Holy Spirit, God, for ever and ever.
02:08Amen.
02:09A reading from the book of Daniel.
02:14As I watched thrones were set in place, and one of great age took his seat, his robe was
02:21white as snow, the hair of his head as pure as wool, his throng was a blaze of flames,
02:29its wheels were a burning fire, a stream of fire poured out issuing from his presence,
02:37a thousand thousand waited on him, ten thousand times ten thousand stood before him, a court
02:44was held and the books were opened.
02:47I gazed into the visions of the night, and I saw coming on the clouds of heaven one like
02:54a Son of Man.
02:56He came to the one of great age and was led into his presence.
03:01On him was conferred sovereignty, glory and kingship, and men of all peoples, nations
03:08and languages became his servants.
03:11His sovereignty is an eternal sovereignty which shall never pass away, nor will his
03:16empire ever be destroyed.
03:20The word of the Lord thanks be to God.
03:24The Lord is King, the Most High over all the earth.
03:28The Lord is King, the Most High over all the earth.
03:32The Lord is King, let earth rejoice, let all the coastlands be glad, cloud and darkness
03:39are his raiment, his throne, justice and right.
03:43The Lord is King, the Most High over all the earth.
03:47The mountains melt like wax before the Lord of all the earth.
03:51The skies proclaim his justice, all people see his glory.
03:56The Lord is King, the Most High over all the earth.
04:00For you indeed are the Lord, Most High above all the earth, exalted far above all spirits.
04:07The Lord is King, the Most High over all the earth.
04:12A reading from the second letter of Saint Peter.
04:16It was not any cleverly invented myths that we were repeating when we brought you the
04:22knowledge of the power and the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ.
04:26We have seen his majesty for ourselves.
04:29He was honored and gloried by God the Father when the sublime glory itself spoke to him
04:34and said, this is my son the beloved, he enjoys my favor.
04:40We heard this ourselves spoken from heaven when we were with him on the holy mountain.
04:47So we have confirmation of what was said in prophecies and you will be right to depend
04:54on prophecy and take it as a lamp for lighting your way through the dark until the dawn comes
05:00and the morning star rises in your minds.
05:05The word of the Lord.
05:06Thanks be to God.
05:07Alleluia, Alleluia.
05:08This is my son, my beloved, in whom is all my delight.
05:15Listen to him, Alleluia.
05:21The Lord be with you.
05:23A reading from the Holy Gospel according to Mark.
05:26Glory to you, O Lord.
05:28Jesus took with him Peter and James and John and led them up a high mountain where they
05:34could be alone by themselves.
05:37There in their presence he was transfigured.
05:40His clothes became dazzlingly white, whiter than any earthly bleacher could make them.
05:46Elijah appeared to them with Moses and they were talking with Jesus.
05:51Then Peter spoke to Jesus, Rabbi, he said, it is wonderful for us to be here, so let
05:57us make three tents, one for you, one for Moses, one for Elijah.
06:01He did not know what to say.
06:03They were so frightened.
06:05And a cloud came covering them in shadow and there came a voice from the cloud, this is
06:12my son, the beloved, listen to him.
06:16And suddenly when they looked around they saw no one with them anymore but only Jesus.
06:23As they came down from the mountain he warned them to tell no one what they had seen until
06:28after the Son of Man had risen from the dead.
06:32They observed the warning faithfully, though among themselves they discussed what rising
06:37from the dead could mean.
06:42The Gospel of the Lord.
06:44Praise to you, Lord Jesus Christ.
06:49They saw only Jesus, that amazing manifestation, and Jesus is our link with God, Jesus is our
06:55way, truth and life.
06:57And the Father shows his seal on Jesus.
07:02That same Jesus is our way, truth and life today, and our best thing that we can ever
07:08have with God.
07:10So we say, here I am Lord, let me be your disciple.
07:16I trust you.
07:18Whatever you want, here I am.
07:30Blessed are you Lord God of all creation, for through your goodness we have this bread
07:34to offer, which earth has given, human hands have made, it will become for us the bread
07:38of life.
07:39Blessed be God forever.
07:48Blessed are you Lord God of all creation, for through your goodness we have this wine
08:03to offer, fruit of divine work of human hands, it will become a spiritual drink.
08:09Blessed be God forever.
08:19Let us pray, brothers and sisters, that my sacrifice and yours may be acceptable to God
08:27our Almighty Father.
08:29May the Lord accept this sacrifice from our hands, that we praise and glory in God's name
08:34for our good and the good of God's holy church.
08:39Sanctify O Lord we pray these offerings here made to celebrate the glorious transfiguration
08:43of your only begotten Son, and by his radiant splendor cleanse us from the stains of sin.
08:50Through Christ our Lord, Amen.
08:57The Lord be with you, lift up your hearts, let us give thanks to the Lord our God.
09:04It is truly right and just, our duty and our salvation always and everywhere to give you
09:10thanks Lord Holy Father Almighty and Eternal God, through Christ our Lord.
09:16For he revealed his glory in the presence of chosen witnesses, and filled with the greatest
09:21splendor that bodily form which he shares with all humanity, that the scandal of the
09:28cross may be removed from the hearts of his disciples, and that he might show how in the
09:34body of the whole church is to be fulfilled what was so wonderfully shown forth first
09:41in his head.
09:43And so with the powers of heaven we worship you constantly on earth, and before you without
09:49end we acclaim, Holy, Holy, Holy Lord God of hosts, heaven and earth are full of your
09:56glory, Hosanna in the highest, blessed is he who comes in the name of the Lord, Hosanna
10:05in the highest.
10:07You are indeed Holy, O Lord, the fount of all holiness, make holy therefore these gifts
10:11we pray, by sending down your Spirit upon them like the dewfall, so that they may become
10:16for us the body and blood of our Lord Jesus Christ.
10:20At the time he was betrayed and entered willingly into his passion he took bread, and giving
10:26thanks broke it and gave it to his disciples saying, take this all of you and eat of it,
10:32for this is my body which will be given up for you.
10:43In a similar way when supper was ended he took the chalice, and once more giving thanks
10:49he gave it to his disciples saying, take this all of you and drink from it, for this is
10:55the chalice of my blood, the blood of the new and eternal covenant, which will be poured
11:02out for you and for many for the forgiveness of sins.
11:07Do this in memory of me.
11:17The mystery of faith.
11:19We proclaim your death, O Lord, and profess your resurrection until you come again.
11:28Therefore as we celebrate the memorial of his death and resurrection we offer you, Lord,
11:33the bread of life and the chalice of salvation, giving thanks that you have held us worthy
11:39to be in your presence and minister to you.
11:42Humbly we pray that partaking of the body and blood of Christ we may be gathered into
11:47one by the Holy Spirit.
11:50Remember Lord your church spread throughout the world and bring her to the fullness of
11:54charity.
11:55Together with Francis our Pope, we your unworthy servants, Eugene our emeritus bishop, all
12:02the clergy who serve your people, and the entire family of son who is gained for you.
12:08Remember also our brothers and sisters who have fallen asleep in the hope of the resurrection,
12:14and all who have died in your mercy.
12:17Welcome them into the light of your face.
12:20Have mercy on us all, we pray, that with the Blessed Virgin Mary, Mother of God, blessed
12:25Joseph, her spouse, with the blessed apostles and all the saints who have preached you throughout
12:31the ages, we may through your grace merit to be coerced to eternal life, and may praise
12:37and glorify you through your Son, Jesus Christ.
12:45Through him, and with him, and in him, O God, Almighty Father, in the unity of the Holy
12:49Spirit, all glory and honour is yours for ever and ever.
12:54Amen.
12:58At the Saviour's command, and formed by divine teaching, we dare to say,
13:03Our Father who art in heaven, hallowed be thy name, thy kingdom come, thy will be done
13:09on earth as it is in heaven.
13:12Give us this day our daily bread, and forgive us our trespasses, as we forgive those who
13:18trespass against us.
13:20And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil.
13:25Deliver us, Lord, we pray, from every evil.
13:27Graciously grant peace in our days, that by the help of your mercy we may be always free
13:33from sin and safe from all distress, as we await the blessed hope and the coming of our
13:39Saviour, Jesus Christ.
13:41For the kingdom, the power and the glory are yours, now and for ever.
13:47Lord Jesus Christ, we say to your apostles, Peace I leave you, my peace I give you.
13:52Look not on our sins, but on the faith of your Church, and graciously grant her peace
13:57and unity in accordance with your will, who live and reign for ever and ever.
14:01Amen.
14:02The peace of our Lord Jesus Christ be with you always.
14:06Let us offer each other a sign of peace.
14:09Peace be with you all.
14:12Lamb of God, you take away the sins of the world, have mercy on us.
14:18Lamb of God, you take away the sins of the world, have mercy on us.
14:23Lamb of God, you take away the sins of the world, grant us peace.
14:39Behold the Lamb of God, who takes away the sins of the world.
14:52Happy are those who are called to the supper of the Lamb.
14:55Lord, I am not worthy that you should enter under my roof, but only say the word and my
15:00soul shall be healed.
15:04My Jesus, I believe that you are present in the most blessed sacrament.
15:09I love you above all things, and I desire to receive you into my soul.
15:14Since I cannot now receive you sacramentally, come at least spiritually into my heart.
15:19I embrace you as if you were already there, and unite myself wholly to you.
15:25Never permit me to be separated from you.
15:28Amen.
15:29Let us pray.
15:46May the heavenly nourishment we have received, O Lord, we pray, transform us into the likeness
15:50of your Son, whose radiant splendor you willed to make manifest in his glorious transfiguration,
15:58who lives and reigns forever and ever.
16:00Amen.
16:01The Lord be with you.
16:03And may the peace and the blessing of the Father and of the Son, and of the Holy Spirit
16:08come upon you, and remain always with you.
16:11Let us go and live the gospel.
16:13Thanks be to God.
16:15God bless your day.
