00:00In the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Spirit, amen.
00:18The grace of our Lord Jesus Christ, the love of God, and the communion of the Holy Spirit
00:22be with you all.
00:23And with your spirit.
00:24Lord Jesus, you are the living bread come down from heaven.
00:25Lord, have mercy.
00:26Lord, have mercy.
00:27Lord Jesus, you feed us with your body and blood.
00:28Christ, have mercy.
00:29Christ, have mercy.
00:30Lord Jesus, you promise that whoever eats this bread will live forever.
00:31Lord, have mercy.
00:32Lord, have mercy.
00:33May almighty God have mercy on us, forgive us our sins, and bring us to everlasting life.
00:44Amen.
00:45Lead us, Lord God, to imitate the custody of St. Eusebius in affirming the divinity
00:59of your Son, so that by persevering, so that by preserving the faith he taught as your
01:07bishop, we may merit a share in the very life of your Son, who lives and reigns with you
01:14in the unity of the Holy Spirit, God, forever and ever.
01:18Amen.
01:19Are you reading the book of the prophet Jeremiah, chapter 26, verse 1 through 9?
01:27In the beginning of the reign of Jehoshaphat, son of Josiah, king of Judah, this message
01:34came from the Lord.
01:36Thus says the Lord, stand in the court of the house of the Lord and speak to the people
01:42of all the cities of Judah who come to worship in the house of the Lord.
01:48Whatever I command you, tell them and omit nothing.
01:52Perhaps they will listen and turn back each from his evil way, so that I may repent of
01:58the evil I have planned to inflict upon them for their evil deeds.
02:03Say to them, thus says the Lord, if you disobey me, not living according to the law I placed
02:10before you and not listening to the words of my servants and prophets whom I send to
02:16you constantly, though you do not obey them, I will treat this house like Shiloh and make
02:22this the city to which all the nations of the earth shall refer when cursing another.
02:28Now the priests, the prophets, and all the people heard Jeremiah speak these words in
02:33the house of the Lord.
02:34When Jeremiah finished speaking, all but the Lord made him speak to all the people.
02:40The priests and prophets lay hold of him, crying, you must be put to death.
02:45Why do you prophesy in the name of the Lord?
02:48This house shall be like Shiloh and this city shall be desolate and deserted.
02:53And all the people gathered about Jeremiah in the house of the Lord.
02:57The word of the Lord.
02:59Thanks be to God.
03:00Lord, in your great love, answer me.
03:03Lord, in your great love, answer me.
03:06Those out from the hairs of my head who hate me without cause, too many for my strength.
03:13Are they who wrongfully are my enemies?
03:16Must I restore what I did not steal?
03:19Lord, in your great love, answer me.
03:22Since for your sake I bear insult and shame covers my face, I have become an outcast to
03:28my brothers, a stranger to my mother's sons, because zeal for your house consumes me and
03:35the insults of those who blaspheme you fall upon me.
03:39Lord, in your great love, answer me.
03:42When I pray to you, O Lord, for the time of your favor, O God, in your great kindness,
03:48answer me with your constant help.
03:51Lord, in your great love, answer me.
03:54Please stand.
03:55Hallelujah! Hallelujah! Hallelujah!
04:04The word of the Lord remains forever.
04:07This is the word that has been proclaimed to you.
04:10Hallelujah! Hallelujah! Hallelujah!
04:20The Lord be with you.
04:22And with your spirit.
04:23A reading from the Holy Gospel according to Matthew.
04:26Glory to you, O Lord.
04:30Jesus came to his native place and taught the people in their synagogue.
04:34They were astonished and said, Where did this man get such wisdom and mighty deeds?
04:40Is he not the carpenter's son?
04:42Is not his mother named Mary, and his brothers James, Joseph, Simon, and Jude, and are not
04:48his sisters all with us?
04:50Where did this man get all this?
04:53And they took offense at him.
04:55But Jesus said to them, A prophet is not without honor except in his native place and in his
05:01own house.
05:02And he did not work many mighty deeds there because of their lack of faith.
05:07The Gospel of the Lord.
05:09Praise to you, Lord Jesus Christ.
05:12Blessed are you, Lord God of all creation, for through your goodness we have received
05:21the bread we offer you, fruit of the earth and work of human hands.
05:25It will become for us the bread of life.
05:27Blessed be God forever.
05:42Blessed are you, Lord God of all creation, for through your goodness we have received
05:45the wine we offer you, fruit of the vine and work of human hands.
05:49It will become our spiritual drink.
05:51Blessed be God forever.
06:03Pray, my brothers and sisters, that my sacrifice and yours may be acceptable to God, our almighty
06:08Father.
06:09May the Lord accept the sacrifice at your hands for the praise and glory of his name,
06:14for our good and the good of all his holy Church.
06:17Look with favor, O Lord, we pray, on the offerings we set upon this holy altar on the feast day
06:23of Blessed Eusebius, that bestowing on us your pardon, our oblation may give honor to
06:29your name.
06:30Through Christ our Lord.
06:32Amen.
06:35The Lord be with you.
06:36And with your spirit.
06:37Lift up your hearts.
06:38We lift them up to the Lord.
06:40Let us give thanks to the Lord our God.
06:42It is right and just.
06:44It is truly right and just.
06:46Our duty and our salvation always and everywhere to give you thanks, Father of mercies and
06:51faithful God.
06:52For you have given us Jesus Christ as our Lord and Redeemer.
06:56He always showed compassion for children and for the poor, for the sick and for sinners,
07:01and he became a neighbor to the oppressed and the afflicted.
07:04By word and deed he announced to the world that you are our Father and that you care
07:08for all your sons and daughters.
07:10And so with all the angels and saints we extol and bless your name and sing the hymn of your
07:15glory, as without end we acclaim.
07:19Holy, holy, holy Lord God of hosts.
07:22Heaven and earth are full of your glory.
07:25Hosanna in the highest.
07:27Blessed is he who comes in the name of the Lord.
07:30Hosanna in the highest.
07:33I've got four short quotes from Mother Teresa on the Holy Eucharist today.
07:37She said, all the bad priests, bad popes, bad bishops are not worth one Holy Communion.
07:44If I can give you any advice, I beg you to get close to the Eucharist and to Jesus.
07:49We must pray to Jesus to give us that tenderness of the Eucharist.
07:54Put your sins in the chalice for the precious blood to wash away.
07:58One drop is capable of washing away the sins of the world.
08:02The Eucharist is connected with the Passion.
08:04If Jesus had not established the Eucharist, we would have forgotten the Crucifixion.
08:09It would have faded into the past and we would have forgotten that Jesus loves us.
08:14There is a saying that to be far away from the eyes is to be far away from the heart.
08:19To make sure that we do not forget, Jesus gave us the Eucharist as a memorial of his love.
08:26Jesus has made himself the bread of life to give us life.
08:31Night and day he is there.
08:33If you really want to grow in love, come back to the Eucharist.
08:37Come back to that adoration.
08:41You are indeed holy and to be glorified, O God, who loved the human race
08:45and who always walked with us on the journey of life.
08:48Blessed indeed is your Son, present in our midst when we are gathered by his love.
08:52And when his one spirit is cycled, so now for us, he opens the Scriptures and breaks the bread.
08:57Therefore, Father most merciful, we ask that you send forth your Holy Spirit to sanctify these gifts of bread in mine,
09:04that they may become for us the body and blood of our Lord Jesus Christ.
09:09On the day before he was to suffer, on the night of the Last Supper,
09:13he took bread and said a blessing, broke the bread and gave it to his disciples saying,
09:18Take this, all of you, and eat of it, for this is my body which will be given up for you.
09:26My Father and my God.
09:29In a similar way, when supper was ended, he took the chalice, gave his thanks and gave the chalice to his disciples saying,
09:37Take this, all of you, and drink from it, for this is the chalice of my blood,
09:41the blood of the new and determined covenant, which will be poured out for you and for me
09:47for the forgiveness of sins. Do this in memory of me.
09:51My Father and my God.
09:58The mystery of faith.
10:00When we eat this bread and drink this cup, we proclaim your death, O Lord, until you come again.
10:07Therefore, Holy Father, as we celebrate the memorial of Christ, your Son, our Savior,
10:11whom you led to his passion and death on the cross to the glory of the resurrection,
10:14and whom you have seated at your right hand, we proclaim the work of your love until he comes again,
10:19and we offer you the bread of life and the chalice of blessing.
10:22Look with favor on the oblation of your church, in which we show forth the past and sacrifice of Christ
10:27that has been handed down to us, and, granted by the power of the Spirit of your love,
10:31we may be counted now and unto the day of eternity among the members of your Son,
10:36in whose body and blood we have communion.
10:38Bring your church, O Lord, to perfect faith and charity, together with Francis our Pope,
10:43Louis our Bishop, with all bishops, priests, and deacons, and the entire people you have made your own.
10:48Open our eyes to the needs of our brothers and sisters, inspiring us words and actions
10:54to comfort those who labor and are burdened.
10:56Make us serve you truly after the example of Christ whom it is commanded.
11:00And may your church stand as a living witness to truth and freedom, to peace and justice,
11:05that all people may be raised up to a new hope.
11:08Remember our brothers and sisters who have fallen asleep in the peace of your Christ,
11:12and all the dead whose faith you alone have known.
11:15Admit them to rejoice in the light of your face, and in the resurrection give them the fullness of life.
11:21Grant also to us, when our earthly pilgrimage is done,
11:24that we may come to an eternal dwelling place and live with you forever.
11:28There, in communion with the Blessed Virgin Mary, Mother of God,
11:31who blessed Joseph her spouse, with the apostles and martyrs,
11:35with Saint Eusebius, and with all the saints,
11:38we shall praise and exalt you through Jesus Christ, your Son.
11:43Through him, and with him, and in him, O God, Almighty Father,
11:48in the unity of the Holy Spirit, all glory and honor is yours, forever and ever.
11:54Amen! Amen! Amen!
12:04At the Savior's command and formed by divine teaching, we dare to pray.
12:08Our Father, who art in heaven, hallowed be thy name.
12:13Thy kingdom come, thy will be done, on earth as it is in heaven.
12:18Give us this day our daily bread, and forgive us our trespasses,
12:23as we forgive those who trespass against us.
12:27And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil.
12:32Deliver us, Lord, we pray, from every evil.
12:34Graciously grant peace in our days, that by the help of your mercy,
12:37we may be always free from sin and taken from all distress,
12:40as we await the blessed hope and the coming of our Savior, Jesus Christ.
12:45For the kingdom, the power, and the glory are yours, now and forever.
12:50Lord Jesus Christ, who said to your apostles,
12:53Peace I leave you, my peace I give you,
12:55look not on our sins, but on the faith of your Church,
12:58and graciously grant her peace and unity,
13:01in accordance with your will, who live and reign forever and ever.
13:05Amen.
13:06The peace of the Lord be with you always.
13:08And with your spirit.
13:10Let's offer each other a sign of Christ.
13:17Lamb of God, you take away the sins of the world, have mercy on us.
13:22Lamb of God, you take away the sins of the world, have mercy on us.
13:27Lamb of God, you take away the sins of the world, grant us peace.
13:35Behold the Lamb of God, behold him who takes away the sins of the world.
13:40Blessed are those called to the supper of the Lamb.
13:43Lord, I am not worthy that you should come under my roof,
13:47but only say the word and my soul shall be healed.
13:51May the body and blood of Christ keep us safe for eternal life.
13:54Amen.
13:55My Jesus, I believe that you are present in the most blessed sacrament.
14:00I love you above all things, and I desire to receive you into my soul.
14:04Since I cannot now receive you sacramentally, come at least spiritually into my heart.
14:10I embrace you as if you were already there, and unite myself wholly to you.
14:16Never permit me to be separated from you.
14:19Amen.
14:20Let us pray.
14:22Renewed by the sacred mysteries, we humbly pray, O Lord,
14:26that following the example of Blessed Eusebius,
14:29we may strive to profess what he believed and practice what he taught through Christ our Lord.
14:35Amen.
14:36The Lord be with you.
14:37And with your spirit.
14:38And may Almighty God bless you, the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit.
14:43Amen.
14:44Go in peace, glorifying the Lord by your life.
14:47Thanks be to God.
