00:00Henry and the flagpole.
00:05All the engines on the island of Sodor were very excited.
00:09There was to be a great banquet at the Scottish castle.
00:17Henry loved going to the Scottish castle,
00:20because on the way he puffed past his favourite tree.
00:25The tall pine tree towered above the rest of the forest.
00:29Henry always stopped to look at it.
00:32Seeing the tall pine tree standing tall and proud made Henry very happy.
00:42Henry arrived at the Scottish castle.
00:45The Fat Controller was waiting for him.
00:48The castle's flagpole is old and about to break, he said.
00:54I need you to collect a new flagpole from the docks in time for the banquet.
00:59Yes sir, puffed Henry.
01:04When Henry puffed into the docks, he couldn't see the tall flagpole anywhere.
01:10He looked around for something tall.
01:13He looked above the coal trucks, but there was nothing tall there.
01:20He looked at an old ship. It had a tall mast.
01:25Then Henry saw Cranky. Cranky was very tall.
01:31But Henry didn't see the flagpole.
01:34It was on the flatbed in front of him.
01:37It rolled onto the track.
01:42Sorry matey, called Salty.
01:45I didn't expect to see the flagpole down there, puffed Henry.
01:49It's not true when you lay it down matey, said Salty.
01:54Henry felt very silly.
01:57Soon the Fat Controller arrived.
02:01This is a disaster, he boomed.
02:04The Scottish castle will not look the same without its flagpole.
02:08Henry was very sad. It was all his fault.
02:16Maybe seeing the tall pine tree will cheer me up, Henry huffed.
02:22But nothing could make Henry feel better.
02:26I wish I hadn't broken the flagpole, Henry sighed to Toby.
02:31They could make a new flagpole out of that tall tree, Toby puffed.
02:36Henry looked up at the tall pine tree.
02:39He didn't want it to be made into a flagpole.
02:45The next morning, Henry had to take some workmen to the forest.
02:51But the workmen were carrying saws and axes.
02:55Oh no, moaned Henry.
02:58They must be going to cut down the tall pine tree.
03:03Henry puffed through the countryside.
03:06Must save the tree, must save the tree, he puffed.
03:11Then Henry had an idea.
03:14He didn't take the workmen to the forest.
03:17He went to look for a new flagpole.
03:22Henry saw some children waving flags.
03:25But those flags were much too tiny to have flagpoles.
03:30There was a flagpole holding up a windsock at the airfield.
03:34But that flagpole was much too short.
03:41There was a tall flagpole on the beach.
03:44But it wasn't tall enough.
03:47Bother, wheezed Henry sadly.
03:50None of the flagpoles is as tall as the pine tree.
03:53Now I'll never save it.
03:56That evening, the Fat Controller came to see Henry at the sheds.
04:08Henry, those workmen had a very important job to do.
04:12You have caused confusion and delay, the Fat Controller said sternly.
04:17Tomorrow you will collect coal and Edward will take the workmen to the forest.
04:24The next day, Henry was collecting the coal when Thomas arrived.
04:29I can't find another flagpole, moaned Henry.
04:33I've looked everywhere.
04:36Sometimes the thing you want is somewhere you wouldn't think to look, puffed Thomas.
04:42And he steamed away.
04:45So Henry set off to go where he wouldn't think to look.
04:50But he couldn't see a flagpole in the cow field.
04:56Then Henry looked in the orchard.
05:00But only Trevor was there.
05:03Hello Henry.
05:04You're very nice, Trevor, puffed Henry.
05:07But you wouldn't make a very good flagpole.
05:13Henry puffed sadly into the docks.
05:20Holidaymakers were taking pictures of the old ship.
05:24Henry looked up at the tall mast.
05:27What about the ship's mast, asked Henry.
05:30It's to be chopped up and used for firewood, me hearty, said Salty.
05:35But it'll be perfect for the castle flagpole, Henry chuffed.
05:40Then you'd best take it quickly, matey, said Salty.
05:46Cranky soon lowered the mast onto the flatbed.
05:54And Henry raced off to the forest.
05:58He had to get to the tree before they cut it down.
06:02When Henry pulled into the forest, the tall pine tree was still there.
06:09And so was the fact controlled.
06:12Please don't cut down the tall pine tree, sir, chuffed Henry.
06:16I think this ship's mast would make a very good flagpole.
06:20I would never cut the tall pine tree down, said the fact controller.
06:24The workmen are only here to collect some firewood.
06:28We always have a roaring fire at the Scottish Castle banquet.
06:33Henry was so happy it made his axles tingle.
06:39That night the flag was hoisted on the old ship's mast.
06:44It looked wonderful.
06:49Henry thought it was the nicest thing he had ever seen.
06:54Except for the tall pine tree.
