00:00Thomas and the Statue
00:04Winter was coming to the island of Sodor.
00:08The leaves had fallen from the trees,
00:11and fog rolled over the countryside.
00:15One chilly morning, the Fat Controller came to Tidmouth Sheds.
00:20He had a special announcement to make.
00:23A statue is to be put up in the park, he said.
00:27It will celebrate the Sodor Railway.
00:31The engines were very excited.
00:34Thomas was to collect the statue from Brendam Docks.
00:38I wonder what it'll be, peeped Percy.
00:42As soon as I find out, puffed Thomas,
00:45I'll come back and tell you, and he steamed away.
00:50But when Thomas arrived at the docks,
00:53Cranky was still unloading the statue.
00:57Hurry up, Cranky, said Thomas.
01:00I want to be the first to see it.
01:05Cranky didn't like being rushed.
01:08Why are you so excited to see the statue?
01:11Do you think it's going to be a view? he scoffed.
01:15Thomas didn't say anything.
01:17He was too busy watching the workmen open up the crate.
01:22The statue was covered by a large tarpaulin.
01:27It had a very familiar look.
01:30There was a tall funnel shape at the front,
01:33and then a wide shape at the back.
01:36The shape was just like Thomas's shape.
01:39Suddenly, Thomas was very excited.
01:42Perhaps, he whistled, it really could be of me.
01:47That night, Thomas couldn't wait to tell the other engines about his statue.
01:52But when he arrived at the sheds, all the engines were asleep.
01:56Thomas was too excited to sleep.
01:59He peeped his whistle to wake Percy up.
02:02Percy, Percy, I think the statue is of me, boasted Thomas.
02:08Really, Thomas, you and Percy, that's nice.
02:12It would be wonderful to have my very own statue, tooted Thomas.
02:17He couldn't wait for morning to come.
02:22The following day, the Fat Controller told the engines they were to go to the washdown.
02:28All except Thomas.
02:30He was to collect more things for the statue.
02:34First, Thomas went to Wellsworth Station.
02:38He was to collect a special block for the statue to stand on.
02:43Are you looking forward to seeing my statue?
02:46He called to Edward.
02:48It might not be your statue, huffed Edward.
02:52But Thomas wasn't listening.
02:57Thomas arrived at Maithwaite Station.
03:02He had to collect a special podium for the Fat Controller to stand on.
03:07Look, Thomas cried to Emily.
03:10The Fat Controller will make a speech when they uncover my statue.
03:14Who says it's going to be your statue, Emily huffed.
03:18You'll see, said Thomas.
03:20And he wheeshed away.
03:24Percy arrived as Thomas' trucks were being unloaded.
03:29Thomas started to talk to Percy about his statue again.
03:35Please stop talking about the statue, peeped Percy.
03:39Thomas was surprised.
03:41No one wants to hear about it anymore.
03:44No one wants to talk to you anymore, Percy added crossly.

03:57Thomas was left all alone.
04:01No one was talking to him.
04:03Thomas felt very sad.
04:08Thomas steamed towards Tidmouth Sheds.
04:11It had started to snow heavily.
04:13But Thomas kept going as fast as he could.
04:16He had to try and put things right with his friends.
04:21But when he arrived at Tidmouth, the Fat Controller was there.
04:25He looked worried.
04:26The tracks to Peel Station are blocked.
04:29None of you will be able to get to the ceremony, he said sternly.
04:33I'll clear the tracks, tooted Thomas.
04:36I don't want you all to miss the party.
04:39The other engines were very surprised.
04:42They knew Thomas didn't like wearing his snowplough.
04:45Clearing the tracks would make Thomas late to see his statue.
04:49But the Fat Controller was pleased.
04:52You must work very hard, Thomas, he boomed.
04:55There's a lot to do.
05:00Thomas steamed off.
05:02He could not let them down.
05:06Thomas felt silly for showing off.
05:09No wonder no one was talking to him.
05:12There were still lots of tracks to clear.
05:15But it didn't matter to Thomas if he was late.
05:22Thanks to Thomas, everyone was able to get to Peel Station.
05:29They gathered near the statue.
05:32It was covered in snow.
05:35But the sun had started to shine, and the snow began to melt.
05:41The Fat Controller told everyone how proud he was of all his engines.
05:47But the engines were still thinking about Thomas, and they were still cross.
05:52Just then, there was a loud slooshing noise.
05:56A big patch of snow slid off the statue.
06:02Then another.
06:03Then another.
06:05The last of the snow fell to the ground.
06:10The engines were so surprised.
06:13That's not Thomas, gasped Gordon.
06:17No, it's all of us, peeped Percy.
06:22Everyone was very excited.
06:30Thomas pulled up.
06:32He was very surprised when he saw the statue.
06:37It's not of me at all, he cried.
06:40Thomas was very relieved and very happy.
06:44I'm very sorry that I made you all so cross, he puffed.
06:49I think this statue of us all is the best statue that could ever be.
06:55And all the engines agreed.
