00:00Hello, very good day to you. The high temperatures, the hot weather that we've been talking about
00:05for the last few days, that is now here and temperatures are going to build further as
00:10we go through towards the end of the week. But not everywhere will have a fine sunny
00:15weather through today. Across parts of Scotland, Northern Ireland here, a frontal system is
00:20bringing quite a bit of cloud and quite a bit of rain, particularly across western parts
00:24of Scotland. Here it is going to be wettest through today. Further east around Aberdeenshire,
00:29largely dry, perhaps even some brightness. But it's across England and Wales where we're
00:34going to have the most of the sunshine, plenty of sunny skies, lots of blue skies, just a
00:39bit of cloud for some of us. But with that sunshine, then temperatures are going to rise.
00:43It is going to feel hotter than yesterday. Temperatures rising to highs of around 27
00:48or 28 Celsius, perhaps towards the east and southeast of England. Further north and west,
00:53a bit fresher than this and obviously under the cloud and rain across parts of Scotland
00:58and Northern Ireland, it is going to feel a little unpleasant at times with temperatures
01:01nearer average for the time of year. With the dry sunny weather for many parts of the
01:06country, we do need to watch out for some high pollen levels and also some high UV levels.
01:11So if you are going to be out in the sun for any prolonged period of time, obviously you
01:16will need to take precautions. Through the evening and overnight, we are going to see
01:20more cloud and further rain across Scotland and Northern Ireland in particular. The rain
01:24will ease though overnight and so it is really just going to be over higher ground that
01:28we are likely to see much if any rain as we go through the early hours of Friday morning.
01:33Across England and Wales, for the most part, it is looking largely clear skies, but there
01:38could be some mist and fog perhaps towards western parts of England and Wales. Despite
01:43the clear skies, temperatures are generally going to hold up. Some places holding up in
01:47the high teens Celsius, so it is going to be an uncomfortably warm sticky night for
01:51some of us, but cooler than this further towards the north and west. As we go through
01:56Friday itself, then a fine picture again for much of England and Wales. Lots of blue skies,
02:02lots of sunshine to be had. Still cloudier across Scotland and Northern Ireland, though
02:06I think it is going to be a bit brighter than today and it is looking drier for the most
02:11part. That being said, some rain starting to push its way in towards the far west of
02:16Scotland towards the Outer Hebrides. A bit of rain arriving here and the winds picking
02:20up as well. There may be one or two showers around, but on the whole lots of sunshine
02:24and with that temperatures even higher than today. A good chance that we are going to
02:28get into the low thirties across again parts of the south east, east of England. Here we
02:32will see the highest temperatures, but the heat is going to be relatively widespread
02:37even up as far as Yorkshire. Perhaps we are likely to get into the high twenties and generally
02:42they are going to be above average for the time of year, so feeling pretty hot for most
02:48of us. More sunny weather to come through the end of the day across the bulk of England
02:53and Wales, but further north and west the cloud is gradually going to increase as this
02:57front tries to push its way in. So a bit more rain arriving across the far north west of
03:02the UK as we go through the end of the day, Friday and into Saturday. That wet weather
03:07is then likely to start to push its way in a bit more as we go through Saturday and that
03:11rain could turn quite heavy across north western parts. Meanwhile in the south east we may
03:15cling on to some hot sunny weather for a little bit of time as we go through Saturday,
03:20but the potential for some intense thunderstorms to kick off through Saturday night before
03:25some more changeable weather on Sunday and with that we see things turning a little bit
03:29fresher, a little bit cooler and so we are going to see our temperatures dropping. But
03:34in the lead up and for the time being if you do need some advice on how to make sure you
03:38are weather ready with those high temperatures we have through the next day or so, then do
03:42head to our website. I'll see you again soon. Bye bye.
