00:00If there are emergencies that are not expected, we should always be prepared, that's why we are watching this.
00:07911, what's your emergency?
00:10Under Executive Order No. 56 of 2018,
00:14the use of 911 was institutionalized as a nationwide emergency hotline number.
00:21This replaced the former hotline 117.
00:30The use of 911 was institutionalized as a nationwide emergency hotline number.
00:37The use of 911 was institutionalized as a nationwide emergency hotline number.
00:42And as part of the so-called order,
00:44the town of Murong in the province of Rizal,
00:47the first local government in the country
00:50to activate its own advanced 911 emergency system,
00:54was established by a U.S.-based tech company.
00:57NGA 911 is a Los Angeles, California-based company.
01:03We've built a series of software, a software platform for public safety,
01:08which ushers in the next generation of 911.
01:12Through the new emergency system,
01:15the response team is more efficient and faster in responding to disasters,
01:20accidents, medical emergencies, and other distress calls.
01:25The way that it helps Filipinos is essentially at a high level.
01:31We're bringing the U.S.-based 911 system to the Philippines at a very high level.
01:37What that means is that within a few seconds,
01:40the call will be routed to the nearest responding agency.
01:45Really, what it does is increases the safety and security of each and every Filipino citizen.
01:53Aside from the local governments that were the first to launch
01:56their next-generation emergency response system,
02:00the Philippine National Police or PNP is also expected to launch it.
02:07We are now looking forward to our next major milestone,
02:11which will be the launch of the system for the Philippines National Police,
02:16which will be on August 8.
02:18We see this 911 service available to every citizen in the Philippines,
02:24so we see it nationwide.
02:26We see emergency response deepening,
02:31and in terms of its ability to response,
02:34we expect it to be connected to vehicles.
02:38So there are things like crash detection,
02:41and when that occurs, the vehicle can send all of the information
02:45about the crash and the vehicle to public safety.
02:49We see it connected into personal emergency response systems
02:53that are connected into health records for those,
02:56maybe the elderly that have additional concerns about immediate response.
03:01So we see a deepening emergency response
03:04and faster response with more advanced situational awareness.
03:10With the use of new technologies in the field of emergency response,
03:16the response to any emergency will be faster
03:19and more lives and property will be saved.
03:25We are proud to be here in the Philippines.
03:28We thank you for the opportunity of delivering this advanced
03:32public safety service to each and every citizen in the Philippines.
03:35It is here, it is now, it is live,
03:38and we offer that to every LGU across the nation.
