00:12Just last year, former One Lightweight World Champion Edward Polaya announced his departure from Team Lakai

00:19along with several other former World Champions like Kevin Belingon, Joshua Fascio, Honorio Banario

00:25and No. 2 Ranked One Championship Phantomweight Fighter, Stephen Loman.

00:29In a PTV Sports interview, Head Coach and Founder of Team Lakai, Mark Sangyao,

00:34shared their current focus despite the loss of several champions to their opponents.

00:41Our focus is to create champions.

00:45This is one of our focus.

00:48His name is Future Champs Training.

00:52Future Champs.

00:54We will prepare them.

00:56If they grow, hopefully, they will be able to wear belts.

01:01Just last year, Team Lakai's Future Champs program started as part of their grassroots program

01:06where Sangyao believes that most of the fighters here have the potential to rise to the top one day.

01:14I see that we are based on the results of their competitions

01:20because we also have their monthly competitions where they are exposed.

01:25We can see the improvements.

01:27The improvements are fast.

01:29That's when we can see that these are the next ones.

01:35As part of the development of the youth,

01:37Team Lakai's target is to send a trophy to the 2024 Batang Pinoy

01:42that will arrive in November in Palawan.
