00:00The strategic presence of the Philippine Coast Guard will remain throughout the country.

00:05This was confirmed by the PCG in the midst of rising tensions between the Philippines and China.

00:11The details are in the report of Isaiah Mirapuentes.

00:17In the ongoing bullying of the country of China against the Philippines,

00:22the Philippine Coast Guard is standing by to maintain the so-called strategic presence throughout the country.

00:29We evolve, we adapt, we must continue forward better than yesterday.

00:34We will be maintaining strategic presence all over the country.

00:40We are everywhere.

00:42According to the official, the presence of the seafarers is important.

00:46Not only in the country, but also in different parts of the world.

00:51He also said that the marines should not forget that they must still abide by the law.

01:00The start of the National Maritime Week is a warning to our country.

01:04This celebration reminds us that while we are still the fourth largest provider of seafarers in the world,

01:14we are still the number five shipbuilding country in the world,

01:20this also reminds us that all of us are stewards of the law.

01:26In the whole world, there are more than 600,000 Filipino seafarers,

01:33and many of them have sacrificed their lives for their profession and for their country.

01:43Along with some of the families of the deceased seafarers, the PCG held a ceremony.

01:49This was done through a flower arrangement for the deceased.

01:53Two ships, the BRP Panglaw and the BRP Cabra,

01:57distributed flowers to the PCG in Manila Bay.

02:01Last week, the BRP Magbanwa returned to the coast,

02:07which had been guarding the West Philippine Sea for several months.

02:10Four seafarers lost their lives due to the hardship they went through.

02:18And now, they are back to normal.

02:22The West Philippine Sea is not only operational,

02:27there is a human element to what we do in the West Philippine Sea.

02:33We also send people. Let's not forget that they are our fellow countrymen.

02:38More than ever, our seafarers are risking their lives.

02:43Saving the future of their families and their countrymen is what they are doing for their freedom.
