00:00What everybody's here for is, dude, the why from reenactments have been just some of the
00:11best television that that golf has found in a long time. I mean, seriously, it's it's
00:16a credit to you. It's a credit to your team because it's it really has been amazing. Just
00:21like seeing what you guys are going to scheme up. I love Solly and those boys have just
00:25like leaned into just like you coming out on stage and that that video that Solly created.
00:31It's like here comes lags and it's just like, oh, let's go because you're watching the golf
00:36and you just know that's where we're heading that evening. And before you like you comment
00:42on it, I just want to know, how did it start? Whose idea was it? And were you hesitant to
00:48do it? So? No, I was not hesitant to do it at all. It started. You know, Frank Nablo
00:59used to do these tea to green segments, and Trevor Emelman did it for a while, they would
01:04go two weeks ahead and hit chip shots around the green. And it was all taped. And I remember
01:09telling Matt Haggerty, who's the kind of studio boss, I said, Hey, man, I want to be part
01:14of the live from team if it's ever possible. And my favorite things were the Frank Nablo
01:19and Trevor Emelman t degree and where they're hitting pitch shots and showing the golf course.
01:23I love golf courses. So he they had me go out to LA last year for the for the US Open.
01:30And on Tuesday, Wednesday, they started me out with walking talks. And it was incredible.
01:34That's right. And that's right. It was like, I got a great start. Yeah, yeah, I got Rory
01:39got Ricky Fowler, I felt like it was it was easy for me to, you know, as you know, playing
01:45with all these guys smiley like you have, that's why you have so much success with your
01:48Fridays with smiley is that players respect you like you know that you're not going to
01:53put them in a tough position. So it kind of started there. And then at the players championship,
01:57it was about two weeks before. And it was Matt Haggerty, Alan Robinson, who's also a
02:03big studio guy. He's the morning live from producer. He said, he said, we're gonna put
02:08you out on the golf course hitting chip shots. And we think we have approval to where at
02:13night, you can go out and recreate shots of the day or whatever you want. And I was like,
02:18that sounds awesome. I'd love to do that. And it's just kind of, you know, and the players,
02:26you know, I've got this field producer, Andrew Bradley, is that the first one? Is that the
02:30first? Yeah. So all right, players was the first one. Andrew Bradley's great. And the
02:35players was fantastic. This is this is where it like began. This is where Nolan Ryan came
02:41out at the players. And so it was Thursday and Jeff Fabian's like the onsite night live
02:48from producer and he's a grumpy little Philadelphia Eagles fan. And he's just got this resting
02:56like grouch face. And I've gotten to just love this dude. And I had my family there
03:01was spring break and I come in for a break. And he's like, Hey, did you see this drop
03:05where he took on seven? And I said, no, but I saw the one he took on 18. He was making
03:10the turn to the front side. And, and so we're where he's pulled up on his board. He pulls
03:15up the shot and he's like, what do you think you could do with that? And I was like, well,
03:18you know, Roy's character is never in question with me. He's certainly not going to take
03:22a bad drop. I said, what if I get some golf balls and I go throw them into the ground
03:28and try to recreate the height in which it bounces. We can put a camera white where right
03:31where this camera is. And I can just like show how he had to have taken a good drop
03:37because if it landed inside the hazard line, it certainly wouldn't be seen. And you know,
03:41I, I was out there just ripping balls into the ground and I didn't realize how ridiculous
03:47it looked until I rewatched it and I rewatched it and it got, it just looked, it looked,
03:53it looked ridiculous. Just rifling golf balls as hard as I could five feet in front of me
04:00straight into the ground. But it was a Rollins Chapman over here at the, at the seventh hole,
04:05just hurling golf balls at the ground. And the best is like your grunt. You could just hear
04:14how hard it was for you to throw a ball a hundred miles an hour, but it was so good
04:20because you're like, ah, I mean, yeah, I mean, you can make a case that's,
04:24that's maybe it's like a wrong job or maybe it's so good, man.
