00:00Nobody's innocent, citizen. We're just here to determine the level of your guilt.
00:04Here's a look at the brand-new Hiatoys Exquisite Super Judge Dread.
00:31One of the world's most famous comic book characters, Judge Dread,
00:35has been patrolling the mean streets of Mega City for 45 years,
00:38and this dynamic and fully poseable figure perfectly captures his iconic look.
00:42These hyper-detailed figures feature all new accessories and materials,
00:46including interchangeable heads and hands and fabric clothing.
00:49There's something exquisite about enforcing the law.
00:52Just before, of course, we get a closer look at the new Exquisite Super version of Judge Dread,
00:56I'd like to thank, if I can, the folks over at Haya that did provide this sample we could have a look at.
01:00The figure is slated to release the second quarter of 2024 for around $104-$105 online.
01:07The figure, though, of Dread is going to stand at about 6 inches in height,
01:11or he's going to be about 14.5 cm tall.
01:14The irony isn't lost on me that one of the earlier looked-at Exquisite Super figures from Haya
01:18just happened to be John Rambo.
01:20Both, in fact, were played by Sylvester Stallone, if you prefer the original Judge Dread film,
01:24or you prefer, I feel, the superior Dread film with Carl Urban.
01:28Now, when it comes to actually standing the two side-by-side,
01:30even though they are a part of the Exquisite Super line,
01:33notably, though, you can see that John Rambo is quite a bit taller than Judge Dread to the right of him.
01:38Like with Rambo, Judge Dread does come included with a display stand.
01:41The display stand, out of the packaging, if this is the first time you've encountered one of these,
01:45you may look at this and think that it's awfully thick of a stand, isn't it?
01:48On the top, though, by the way, it does have Judge Dread.
01:50This can be swapped out if you want to, but it does serve a purpose.
01:53Not only is it supposed to be a place, a base, for the figure to stand on top of,
01:57but you can, in fact, take the lid off, and inside is a bag.
02:01The bag then stores all the additional accessories that you don't plan to have displayed with the figure,
02:05so there's some nice additional storage, and it keeps all the accessories at bay.
02:08If you're like me, that runs out of space very quickly when it comes to other boxes sitting around,
02:12take your figures out, you put them on display,
02:14and you're like, well, what am I going to do with all these extra boxes?
02:16Sure, it's fine just to put them in storage,
02:18but if you down the road decide you want to swap out the accessory on the figure,
02:21well, you have to always go back to the storage locker, find where you put the boxes.
02:24This just makes things a whole lot easier,
02:26just that you keep all the extra accessories inside the box that you don't have displayed with the figure,
02:30but the figure is still going to be on top of the display stand.
02:32Yes, it is thick, but it's thick for a reason.
02:35This, by the way, does, like I said, have the Judge Dread logo there on the front.
02:39It's a little, obviously, raised from the rest of the plastic around it.
02:41It does have one peg at the back,
02:43so it will already, out of the packaging, be able to accommodate the adjustable neck.
02:47If, though, you'd like to have Dread in more of a place than just on the back like this,
02:50it does also have one that has more multiple holes,
02:53so instead of just the one he actually has now, nine,
02:55obviously, you're just going to take this one off,
02:58swap it out with the one that you want to then use,
03:00and then not only will the adjustable neck go on the back,
03:03but then you can put it in any one of the other additional eight pieces, eight sections.
03:06Sometimes you may, in fact, want to have it in the middle,
03:09or you'd like to maybe have it in the corner.
03:10You have a little bit more options.
03:12You have more availability with this additional plate instead,
03:15but let's go back to the original one,
03:16just because I like the way it actually has the logo there on the front.
03:19The adjustable neck does, yes, come included with the figure.
03:22It has four knuckle joints to it.
03:24The unfortunate thing about it, though, is it's awfully long.
03:27If you're planning to have Judge Dread leaping in the air, that's one thing,
03:30but I'd like to actually, in fact, cut this almost even by half,
03:33taking only two of the four.
03:35We're going to just...
03:36Any one of these, by the way, you can just remove them,
03:38so there's a peg, there's a peg, but any one of these can remove.
03:41I'm only going to take two of the four, detach it like that.
03:44I'm also, as well, going to take the waist clip,
03:46and that's going to come off, too,
03:47and that just now plugs onto the end of it.
03:50And then you still have, again, adjustability.
03:52There's, like, again, a knuckle there, a knuckle there,
03:54and then just twist it around like this,
03:56and then that's going to plug onto the back.
03:58So we're going to, again, take the hole right here,
04:00take the provided peg, and that's going to fit into the back like that.
04:03The only thing I will say, though,
04:05is that this is obviously using clear plastic.
04:07The waist clip, I've noticed on Judge Dread's, is really, really tight.
04:11It hasn't happened yet.
04:12Knock on plastic.
04:13It hasn't happened yet, but the plastic was so tight on this one,
04:16I would be really worried that it's going to snap.
04:19Like I said, it hasn't happened on any of the Exquisite Supers so far, so far,
04:22but I think with the plastic being clear like this,
04:25there's always the likelihood that this is way too tight,
04:27so just tread cautiously with that.
04:29Yeah, I do like, again, the idea that they include the display stand like that,
04:32even though, yeah, it's going to mean that these figures,
04:34all the Exquisite Supers, are going to stand a little higher
04:36than the rest of your figures on your shelf,
04:38but I think it's well worth it,
04:39the fact that all the accessories are right there where you need them,
04:41carrying around a small arsenal.
04:43Judge Dread gets packed with a lot of accessories.
04:45First, the figure comes included with his daystick.
04:47The daystick is a pretty large-sized baton that he carries with him.
04:51It's not even quite a gunmetal gray.
04:53It's almost got like a little bit of a brownish tint to it.
04:55Now, he already has gripping hands on the ends of his forearm,
04:58so it's quite easy, in fact, to get the daystick actually in his hands.
05:01It's just a case of...
05:02And also, by the way, the plastic on the hands is soft enough, too.
05:05I had no problems at all getting the accessories into them.
05:07The figure also, as well, comes included with his bowing spray.
05:10Kind of wanted to jump right away to the Lawgiver,
05:12but the bowing spray he does come included with
05:14has already the aerosol sprayed out like this.
05:16Just be careful of this because, obviously, this is clear plastic.
05:19This would be something that'd be breaking off,
05:20but really nice, the fact that they include a little accessory like this.
05:23One thing I've already done in preparation of that,
05:25I've swapped out one of the figure's hands.
05:27Let's just move the arm up, like, for example, here.
05:29You can see that he has a trigger-firing finger hand,
05:32but, as well, if you take yourself the bowing spray,
05:34the finger sits perfectly.
05:36If I get it in between his thumb and his fingers like this,
05:39it fits perfectly just above it,
05:40looking as if he's spraying down the nozzle.
05:42I like the fact that they included that.
05:44It's a little, though, harder to pull off
05:46where you get it just right on the end of the figure,
05:48but it's something that can be successfully pulled off
05:50if you wanted to have the figure displayed that way.
05:52I actually, in fact, started the review with him
05:54carrying around both his day stick and the bowing spray.
05:56Ah, well, I get the figure to stand.
05:58He's fallen over already a couple of times on me.
06:00The figure also comes included with a couple of Lawgivers.
06:03The strange thing, though, is only one of them is inside the tray.
06:06The other one was sitting around loose.
06:08I don't know if, by accident, they actually packed two Lawgivers
06:10instead of just the one.
06:11Even looking, though, at the descriptions online for this figure,
06:14it says two pistols.
06:16They weren't very clear about the fact they were Lawgivers.
06:18He does already come with a slightly more modern version of the Lawgiver,
06:21but then he should have one a little bit more centered around
06:23looking like the comic.
06:24But yet, I ended up getting two.
06:26Both of them, by the way, do have a little dial there on the top.
06:28They look to be identical.
06:30I don't think there's anything different about both of these.
06:33Again, if you do end up getting this figure for yourself,
06:35which I would definitely recommend,
06:36I can't promise whether you're going to be getting
06:38accidentally two Lawgivers.
06:39You really only should be getting the one.
06:41He does also, like I said, come with the slightly more modern version of the Lawgiver.
06:44And again, these are nicely done.
06:46Both of them do have a little bit of that brownish kind of grey plastic to them.
06:50There's definitely a lot more detail going into this one, for example.
06:53And both of these can fit in his hand.
06:56Although, if you're looking to holster him onto his leg,
06:58this is the better Lawgiver to go with.
07:00Like, for example, if you want to take this one,
07:02it's just too big of a gun.
07:04There's no way you'd be able to store it on the side of his leg.
07:07But easily, though, you can take either one of the Lawgivers.
07:09I say either one because, again, I had two.
07:11Fit either one of them, they holster down the side of his leg like that.
07:14And it stores pretty good, too.
07:16The neat thing also about the Lawgivers,
07:18if I can get that actually out of his leg,
07:20is that they also come included with blast effects.
07:23So if we take this one here, for example,
07:25he comes with two variations.
07:26He has one that's a little bit...
07:28No, I'll just put that down for a second.
07:29He comes with one that's a little bit shorter,
07:31and he also comes with one that's a little bit longer,
07:32that you can see does actually have a bullet on the end of the tail.
07:35Both, again, utilizing some clear, translucent...
07:38Not even clear. Translucent orange plastic.
07:40And there's also pegs on the ends of these.
07:42So if you wanted to take, for example, a Lawgiver,
07:44there's a hole on the end of the barrel
07:46that you just take the blast effect, the firing effect,
07:48and that just plugs onto the end like that.
07:51I have, unfortunately, though, knocked this a couple of times.
07:54It's ended up onto the floor.
07:55I had a hard time really trying to find where both these went to.
07:57But there's that effect.
07:59Like I said, there's also this effect, too.
08:01Which, again, if you like just the idea of the gun firing off an actual bullet,
08:04then this is the better one to go with.
08:06And, of course, if you want to take as well this Lawgiver,
08:09it works the exact same way.
08:10It just plugs onto the end of the barrel.
08:12And, again, you can use also this one as well.
08:15Now, if he's firing off at bad guys after a while,
08:18the gun's going to have to cool.
08:20And coming out from that, emitting will be a little bit of smoke.
08:22They've also as well thought that out by giving a little smoke effect.
08:25This is now using clear, translucent plastic.
08:28And that plugs basically just onto the end.
08:30There's a little peg right there.
08:31It plugs onto the end of the barrel.
08:33Fits.
08:35Somewhat easy, although, again, I've dropped it a couple of times.
08:38Hold on one second.
08:40Yes, did I already say I dropped this a couple of times onto the floor?
08:43If I haven't, I'll mention it again.
08:45Again, there's that little peg on the end.
08:46You want to make sure, really,
08:47that you put the smoke effect enough into the end of the barrel.
08:50There we go.
08:51And you can have, again, like the smoked end trail coming out of this.
08:54Likely going to be the way I'm going to be displaying Judge Dredd.
08:56I just love the idea that they actually took the time
08:58to include something as cool like this.
09:00Without accidentally dropping that.
09:02Let's put that off to the side.
09:03Move the guns all out of the way.
09:04The figure also comes included with some series of swappable hands.
09:07Again, he already has the nozzle spring finger hand.
09:11I've swapped that out.
09:12The figure, I don't think, actually started with closed fists,
09:14but we'll obviously look at those first.
09:16The hands themselves, again, are all molded here in green plastic.
09:19Whether you decide there's mileage to be made
09:21with actually displaying the figure with closed fists,
09:23I don't think there is.
09:24The figure also comes included with gripping hands.
09:26So, say, for example,
09:27you want to have the figure displayed with the Daystick,
09:29you could obviously use the hands that he has right now,
09:31but if you want a better grip around that
09:33so he doesn't drop it by accident,
09:34he also has some slightly more closed grip hands.
09:36And then he also comes included with a hand for holding,
09:39for example, the canister,
09:40or if you want to go back to using the bong spray, for example,
09:43just basically fits in his hand.
09:45It's not as compelling, as interesting,
09:47without having the figure on the end of the nozzle.
09:49And then he also comes included
09:50with a specifically dedicated trigger firing finger hand.
09:53Wow, that's hard to get that all out.
09:55That can also, again, be swapped out
09:57with the existing hands that he has right now.
09:58By the way, to change out the hands,
10:00it's fine and good to be talking about these.
10:02Just hold on to his forearm
10:03and just kind of wiggle the hands off.
10:05The plastic, again, for these hands is pretty soft,
10:07if you can actually see the way I'm doing it right now.
10:09Just, again, pop that off,
10:10replace it with a hand that you want to use,
10:12plug into the peg.
10:13Now, the only thing about this,
10:14and I may have even mentioned it
10:15when we looked at the John Rambos,
10:17is that the pegs are very small.
10:18So you want to make sure that you're not forcing these,
10:20because once they break,
10:22you don't have extra ones to work with.
10:24And that just plugs in place.
10:26Get yourself the Lawgiver,
10:27and the Lawgiver fits right into his hand.
10:30Just like that.
10:31We're going to come back to that, I'm sure,
10:33when we get to the final looks of the figure.
10:35I just wanted to show you guys
10:36what it looks like to get the weapons into his hands.
10:38The last thing that the figure also comes included with
10:40probably involves me having to have the figure
10:42pretty close to the camera like this,
10:43as it does come with three interchangeable head sculpts.
10:45Did one of those start things with the defaulted head,
10:48which, if you are a fan of the original Judge Dredd comic book,
10:51loved growing up reading the comics,
10:53never really got the chance to have the entire run of them,
10:56but periodically, if I went to flea markets,
10:58garage sales,
10:59I always remember there was a gentleman down the street,
11:01a slightly older fellow,
11:02was selling a whole bunch of comics.
11:04Sergeant Rock, I think, was one of them,
11:06and Judge Dredd.
11:07He had probably like three or four issues,
11:08and he was selling them next to nothing,
11:09probably like 10 cents a piece.
11:11Pick up a couple of those,
11:12and that's basically my introduction to Judge Dredd.
11:14Just loved the character ever since.
11:16So he has sort of more of a neutral expression on his face.
11:18He's got those trademark lightning bolts
11:20there across the front of his visor of his helmet.
11:22And then he also comes with a couple of other heads as well.
11:25If you want a more grimaced face
11:27with exposed teeth,
11:28he also comes with that as well.
11:30Or if you prefer to have Judge Dredd screaming,
11:33telling someone to obey the law, for example,
11:35he also has this head as well.
11:37I think, really, of the three,
11:39I either like this one
11:40or probably would end up defaulting
11:42to maybe this head sculpt instead.
11:44And again, changing out the heads,
11:45you just want to kind of hold onto his torso,
11:47pop the head off,
11:48replace it with a head that you want to use.
11:50And changing the heads was pretty easy,
11:52although putting the head back on,
11:54you had a little bit more of a harder time.
11:56You may have already noticed, though,
11:57and I haven't done it as much with this head sculpt
11:59just because I was kind of using the one
12:00that was coming out of the packaging with,
12:02but the size of the holes
12:04is obviously smaller than the pegs themselves.
12:06So it will, in fact, involve a little bit of pressure,
12:09which, again, I haven't done it nearly enough
12:10on this head sculpt.
12:11A little bit more pressure
12:12to get the head actually in place.
12:14Maybe what we'll do for right now, at least,
12:15we'll put back on the regular head sculpt.
12:17Probably going to be coming back to that.
12:19I think I may even have to heat that up a little bit more
12:21just to get the hole on the plastic
12:22a little bit softer.
12:23Anyways, I'm going to move that off to the side.
12:25I'm sure the other question
12:26I'm sure you guys are probably asking is,
12:28can you see Judge Dredd's eyes?
12:29Well, if you are more faithful
12:31to the Dredd movie starring Urban,
12:33then you know Judge Dredd never takes off his helmet.
12:35If you, though, were a fan
12:36of Sylvester Stallone's Judge Dredd,
12:37well, he just frequently took off his helmet.
12:39Even though you can't quite make it out,
12:41there is no eyes underneath that.
12:43So if you tried to pry the plastic off,
12:45tried to take off the helmet,
12:46you'd basically be left behind
12:47with basically Judge Dredd, I'm sure,
12:49with only his head starting right around here
12:51and no eyes whatsoever.
12:53Good head sculpt, though, on the figure.
12:55For the rest of the problem...
12:56No, for the rest of the figure,
12:57here's one problem I have with him
12:59is that they're using a kind of artificial,
13:02kind of synthetic...
13:03I don't know if you would call it a rubber material.
13:05It's not quite leather.
13:06It's kind of more like a vinyl material,
13:09and they're using it for the basic body of his build.
13:12So, like, underneath that, basically,
13:14he would have the articulation in the body,
13:16but then they would have stretched across
13:18a fabric suit over top of it
13:19and have a big, big zipper
13:21basically zipping everything over top of it.
13:23The thing about it, though,
13:24is with the material that they're using,
13:26right now, obviously, I'm not having any problems
13:28because the figure is brand new.
13:29My concern, though, is over time,
13:31if this will start to split,
13:32especially, for example,
13:33if you've got the arms out like this.
13:35Like, if you ever had, say, for example,
13:38larger six-scale figures,
13:39then you probably already know this.
13:40Some figures, over time,
13:41depending on how you have them posed,
13:43will start to split.
13:44Usually it's right around the armpit, for example.
13:46Sometimes it's always around the legs
13:48if you have the legs split like this.
13:49Sometimes it even increases.
13:51It hasn't happened yet,
13:52and obviously, I have to tell you guys,
13:53a brand new figure like this
13:54isn't going to give you any problems,
13:55but I just think that down the road,
13:57long-term plans,
13:58is a material like this being used
14:00going to give us complications.
14:02Like, when we looked at Rambo, for example,
14:04Rambo isn't going to have that problem
14:06because he's got fabric clothing,
14:07unless you have a moth issue,
14:08which, luckily, I don't.
14:10But if you have moths, perhaps,
14:11they could eat away at the fabric over time.
14:13But this is just a material that, over time,
14:15I would imagine would start to probably degrade or flake.
14:17Again, it hasn't happened yet.
14:19With the way the figure looks right now,
14:21he looks fantastic.
14:22He obviously has the big eagle shoulder pad
14:24on the one side
14:25and an equally large barrel-shaped
14:27shoulder pad on the other.
14:28These seem to be attached by,
14:30I'm guessing, glue.
14:31They look like they're...
14:33You can see it right there.
14:34There's a little peg on the inside
14:36where, basically, they're attaching it
14:37to the shoulder section.
14:38So, because of that, yeah,
14:39there's a little bit of posability.
14:41You can move these back and forth.
14:42The thing that I thought was clever, though,
14:44is his Judge Dredd badge.
14:45Not only is it attached to a chain, to a zipper,
14:47but it's also magnetized.
14:49So you can see there's a magnet on the back.
14:50They haven't really done the greatest of jobs
14:52of hiding the magnet,
14:53but it's not something you'd ever really see
14:55unless you're just doing what I'm doing right now.
14:57And then there's a magnet
14:58basically embedded into his body.
14:59You just take the magnet
15:00and fit it onto his body.
15:01You never have to worry about glue.
15:03You never have to worry about a peg.
15:04You never have to worry about having problems.
15:06So that's just going to fit back on there.
15:07Of course, he's got the green gloves.
15:09He's got green elbow pads.
15:10These are attached, by the way,
15:11with, like, an elastic strap.
15:13He's also got his belt there on the front,
15:15really nicely painted there
15:16with the eagle belt buckle
15:18and many different pockets
15:19that are all around the body.
15:20And, of course, he's got
15:21his big clunky boots as well.
15:22The way that they've attached the knee pads
15:25is, in fact, the exact same way
15:26they attach the elbow pads
15:27with basically just an elastic strap.
15:29Over time, I'm sure, again,
15:31that could probably start to create...
15:32I just don't want to be continuing
15:34to point out the problems
15:35with a figure down the road,
15:36but, again, I just feel like
15:37a material like this, vinyl,
15:39maybe could be something
15:40that would start to split over time.
15:42Now, for the figure's articulation,
15:44if we've already looked at Rambo,
15:45you already know by now
15:46the kind of level of articulation
15:47that they managed to put
15:48into the exquisite super figures.
15:49As I'm doing this,
15:50I'm currently rotating Judge Dredd's
15:52head all the way around
15:53so you guys can see.
15:54Head rotates very easily.
15:56Goes up and down quite good as well.
15:58You can also move it back and forth.
15:59In addition, though, to the ball joint,
16:01he also has a secondary one.
16:02You probably can't see it.
16:03It's behind the collar.
16:04He's got a second ball joint
16:06that allows freedom
16:07to move his head back and forth
16:08this way as well.
16:09So he basically gets the benefit
16:10of now two ball joints,
16:11one here in the head,
16:12one here down below in the neck.
16:14Now, the upper torso
16:15is going to be on a ball joint,
16:16so that rotates all the way around.
16:18The figure would still have
16:19a retaining waist swivel,
16:20although it's a little harder
16:21to kind of gain access to that.
16:23Shoulders move freely out,
16:25and when it comes to moving
16:26the shoulders out,
16:27I can get them as far back
16:28as about there, about 45 degrees.
16:30Anything after that,
16:31you can kind of start to feel
16:32that things get pretty tight
16:33right around the elbows
16:34or right around the armpit area.
16:36The arms move forward
16:37and they again move back.
16:39There's a swivel there
16:40at the bicep,
16:41I want to say thigh,
16:42at the bicep.
16:43The figure does have
16:44a double hinge on the elbow,
16:45and the hands do rotate
16:46all the way around.
16:47For the legs, again,
16:48the legs split,
16:49but again, that's about
16:50as far as I'm willing
16:51to split the legs.
16:52Anything after that,
16:53you can kind of feel
16:54like the seam is starting
16:55to get really tight.
16:56Legs go forward,
16:57legs go back.
16:58There's a swivel
16:59at the top of the thigh,
17:00double hinge once again
17:01on the knees,
17:02and decent levels
17:03of articulation on the ankle.
17:04The ankle moves up
17:05and down this way.
17:06You can also rock it
17:07back and forth.
17:08And again, the figure
17:09doesn't have peggles
17:10in the undersides of his feet.
17:11I don't think he really
17:12necessarily needs it either
17:13because he always has
17:14the benefit of that
17:15really cool display stand.
17:16I really like Judge Dredd.
17:17And again,
17:18what we've been seeing
17:19so far with the
17:20Exquisite Super Series,
17:21as I bring back in
17:22John Rambo,
17:23one of the three Rambos
17:24we've looked at lately
17:25here on this channel,
17:26they also have advertised
17:27a RoboCop Exquisite Super,
17:28which I'm super excited
17:29for as well.
17:30Yeah, I really am liking
17:31what Hai is doing here
17:32with this new line of figures.
17:33They're bigger than
17:34obviously the Exquisite Minis
17:35that we've been looking at
17:36for a long time.
17:37And even though
17:38the figures are larger,
17:39they still manage to pack
17:40the same level of posability
17:41and the level of accessories
17:42that the figures
17:43come included with.
17:44I still don't know why,
17:45for example,
17:46that Judge Dredd and mine
17:47at least came included
17:48with two versions
17:49of the Lawgiver.
17:50Well, two exact copies
17:51of the Lawgiver.
17:52Literally, one was just
17:53on the bottom of the tray.
17:54So I don't know if maybe
17:55by accident,
17:56they just threw
17:57an extra one in there.
17:58So you get, again,
17:59two Lawgivers.
18:00You get the Daystick.
18:01You get the Boeing Spray,
18:02which is, again,
18:03a fun little nod
18:04to the original comics.
18:05Yeah, I really like
18:06the figure quite a lot.
18:07The only thing, again,
18:08I'm worried about
18:09is just the material
18:10that they ended up using.
18:11Now, they could have
18:12maybe taken a page
18:13from John Rambo
18:14and used a fabric suit
18:15rather than something
18:16like a vinyl.
18:17Because vinyl, over time,
18:18would maybe split
18:19depending on, of course,
18:20the conditions
18:21of where you collect
18:22and have your figures displayed.
18:23May not always be the problem,
18:24but it would be something
18:25I would certainly be worried with
18:26over time.
18:27But as it is right now,
18:28I certainly do like
18:29what they've done here
18:30with Judge Dredd.
18:31And I can only hope
18:32that we might get
18:33other future judges
18:34in upcoming releases.
18:35Jumping now
18:36over to the turntable,
18:37his daystick in one hand,
18:38the Lawgiver Mark I
18:39in the other.
18:40Judge Dredd not only has
18:41the accessories
18:42that you see right now,
18:43but also, as well,
18:44a Lawgiver Mark II,
18:45some firing effects
18:46that can attach
18:47onto the nozzles
18:48of either one of those guns,
18:49a smoke entrail,
18:50which is one of my, by far,
18:51my favorite things
18:52that come packed
18:53along with the figure,
18:54and a Boeing spray as well.
18:55The Boeing spray,
18:56or is it Boeing spray?
18:57One of the nods
18:58to the original comics
18:59from 2000s A.D.
19:00A nice little nod
19:01to, again,
19:02those comic pages.
19:03I'm glad to see
19:04that he's able to do
19:05things like that.
19:06He also has,
19:07on top of that,
19:08three interchangeable
19:09head sculpts.
19:10With a little bit
19:11of softening up the plastic
19:12and a little bit
19:13of persuasion,
19:14I was able to get more
19:15of the angst face
19:16on his neck
19:17instead of the one
19:18that we started with.
19:19Probably either going
19:20to go with this one,
19:21displaying it on my shelf,
19:22or just the neutral expression.
19:23But he also has, as well,
19:24the screaming face,
19:25which is, again,
19:26all nicely sculpted.
19:27None of them, though,
19:28with visible eyes.
19:29If you're a fan
19:30of the original comics,
19:31you know Judge Dredd
19:32never takes off his helmet.
19:33He's always concerned
19:34of the material
19:35that they've used.
19:36And it's not just, though,
19:37me finding fault
19:38with what Hai is doing here.
19:39Any company that decides
19:40that they want to use vinyl
19:41looks good for right now.
19:42But I would worry that,
19:43over time,
19:44that that vinyl
19:45would start to split.
19:46If you have a figure
19:47like this, for example,
19:48displayed always on your shelf
19:49with high levels of humidity
19:50in your collection room,
19:51then the arms
19:52are always going to be
19:53in a pose like this
19:54that there may be
19:55starting to split.
19:56Some developing areas
19:57in the armpits,
19:58around the areas of the legs,
19:59anything that has
20:00an extreme bend,
20:01even in the elbows
20:02I mean, for me at least,
20:03when it comes to
20:04sixth scale figures,
20:05and I'm speaking only from that
20:06because those are the figures
20:07that tend to have
20:08like the artificial
20:09or like the vinyl materials,
20:10faux leather material,
20:11for example.
20:12I've never had any problems
20:13with my figures,
20:14yet I've certainly read
20:15horror stories
20:16of people online
20:17that have had their figure
20:18materials split,
20:19crack, peel,
20:20and it hasn't happened yet
20:21for this figure.
20:22And I certainly hope
20:23it doesn't happen
20:24down the road either
20:25because that's a nice-looking
20:26Judge Dredd.
20:27Like I said,
20:28this guy is slated to release
20:29the, what,
20:30second quarter of 2024
20:31asking about $104.99.
20:32That's most of the prices,
20:33at least what the online sites
20:34are currently,
20:35got the pre-orders set up for.
20:36So he's about,
20:37he's about the same price,
20:38about the same
20:39as the John Rambos
20:40we looked at before.
20:41For $105,
20:42I think you're getting
20:43a decent-looking Judge Dredd
20:44with a whole ton
20:45of accessories.
20:46Let's hope that down the road,
20:47while we're still speaking
20:48of John Rambos,
20:49Sylvester Stallone,
20:50there was obviously
20:51the Judge Dredd version
20:52of him.
20:53Kind of be interested
20:54to see what they could do
20:55with an exquisite
20:56super version
20:57of the Sylvester Stallone
20:58Judge Dredd.
20:59Who else would be interested
21:00in that?
21:01Let me know down below
21:02in the comments section.
21:03Big thank you once again
21:04to the folks over at Haya
21:05that did provide this sample
21:06of the brand new exquisite
21:07super Judge Dredd
21:08comic version figure.
21:09I say comic version
21:10because again,
21:11like maybe fingers crossed
21:12we might get a movie version
21:13down the road
21:14or even Carl Urban's
21:15version of Judge Dredd.
21:16Yes, yes, yes.
