00:00 In terms of being here long term, is this a place where you see yourself setting down
00:06 your roots and being here long term in the current environment?
00:09 And given that the last person said that he did, now he's in Alabama, what would you say to that?
00:15 Right, well I think that that's always a problem, right?
00:18 You can't be right, you can't be wrong, whatever you say.
00:19 I know that that comment's always been made, is it a destination job?
00:23 I would answer it this way.
00:26 The Big Ten, the SEC, right now is who's leading the football pathways.
00:32 The college football landscape is about getting to the CFP.
00:36 There's 12 teams that are going to compete every year starting next year in the college football playoffs.
00:41 If you look at what teams traditionally compete, it's about the same 12 or 14 teams.
00:48 University of Washington is one of those 12 or 14 teams.
00:51 That's why we coach.
00:54 We coach to be able to take a seat at that table and to be able to give yourself a chance every
01:00 single year with resources beyond belief, with an opportunity to go out there with a fan base
01:06 that's dying to continue to win, that have won national championships.
01:10 And the idea of staying is why you come.
01:13 The idea of being here is to win championships.
01:16 And that's all I can promise, that we're going to be here every single day doing everything we can
01:21 to win a championship, knowing that Washington has the opportunity to do that every year.
