Transcript
00:00 Jed, I'm Dan Raley. I run the sports industry.
00:04 Some coaches have a carryover of previous staff.
00:09 I know not all of your Arizona coaches are coming here, at least that's what I've read.
00:13 Some of the guys seem pretty entrenched in Tucson, having met Chuck Cecil before and things like that.
00:18 Is there any possibility you might keep some of these coaches that were here this last season?
00:22 Yeah, for sure. I think we're just going to work through, really, who's coming,
00:28 we've got to open up a bunch of spots, we've got to figure out exactly what we're going to do.
00:32 There's some guys that we're going to bring for sure, and then as we continue to figure out
00:38 who wants to be in Tucson, who wants to be in Seattle, who wants to go somewhere else.
00:43 And then we'll kind of figure out exactly, as I get to know this staff, where it all looks.
00:48 I haven't really spent much time getting to know a lot of the guys,
00:51 and I'm sure some of the guys will be heading to Tuscaloosa and trying to work the whole thing out.
00:55 Hey Jed, I'm Christian Capel, Independent.
00:59 You mentioned trying to retain the roster. What's kind of your process for that?
01:04 There's these guys who are in the portal, maybe guys who are considering it.
01:07 How do you kind of start those conversations?
01:09 Yeah, I think this afternoon we're going to sit down with the personnel guys that have been here before
01:17 and go through, really, who's in the portal, and what does that look like depth chart-wise,
01:23 what does the team look like right now, who do we have that is interested in returning,
01:29 and start meeting with them one-on-one.
01:31 I wanted to go out on the road recruiting tomorrow, but I think better served to be here the next couple days,
01:36 try to meet with everybody that's on the team, in the portal, on the team, thinking about going in the portal,
01:42 and seeing if I can get a better idea of the how, the why, and what we can do.
