00:00said otherwise, well, didn't say otherwise, but didn't let you see the field.
00:04You finally get those last two games against Texas and Michigan, and
00:08then the staff leaves, and then your staff comes in.
00:10How do you encapsulate everything that's kind of gone on with you since you've
00:13arrived in Washington?
00:15It's been pretty crazy, coming from the Division II school, and
00:19then to play in the National Championship is a wild twist of events.
00:23I'll just say I'm grateful to experience all of that, it was super cool.
00:28And at the end of the day, I still get to play football, so a new staff,
00:33I don't have any hard feelings or anything, and I love where we're at right now.
00:37So I would just say I'm grateful and excited.
00:40How much have you gotten to grow in understanding Coach Belichick's defense?
00:43Cuz I remember when we talked to you in spring, it was more or less like, hey,
00:46he's the strongest guy on the team, or strongest guy on the defensive line, etc.
00:49But there wasn't a ton that you can know about this game.
00:51How much more do you feel you guys have understood and
00:53grasped the concepts going into Paul Cameron?
00:56I think a lot more.
00:58We obviously have some new pieces who they've done a great job of
01:01understanding it, too.
01:02I would say the biggest thing is a lot of the back end guys playing together.
01:06Obviously, coverages are complex and a lot of mental.
01:10So I think everyone, just with our walkthroughs,
01:13player run practices, everyone's been growing in it.
01:15And I think we're in a lot better place now, which we should be expected to be.
01:21But I would say my understanding is growing, I think everyone's has,
01:25which is good thing.
