00:00Turn of events, so we're good, yeah, yeah, but I'm fired up to be here.
00:04This is a great place, staff's great, players are great.
00:08So hopefully we build off last year.
00:10You had taken a defensive coordinator job, right?
00:13Yeah.
00:13What was it about this opportunity that made you want to come here?
00:17Yeah, I just thought the opportunity here at Washington was something I
00:20couldn't pass up.
00:21Being a defensive coordinator is a goal of mine, but I felt working with this staff,
00:25working with this program was something that I needed to be a part of.
00:29Working with Coach Fish and Coach Belichick on defense,
00:32I felt this was the best opportunity for me to move forward.
00:35And hopefully I can add some value to the program as we kind of
00:39move into this next phase of Washington football.
00:41Connected to anybody up here at all, anybody in Seattle?
00:46No, I had recruited here before.
00:48It was my area last year at Alabama, so I'm moderately familiar with it.
00:51I'm from San Diego, so the west side of the country is something I'm really
00:56familiar with, and so- Which high school?
00:59Oceanside High School.
01:00Yeah, so, but yeah, it was a tough couple of years.
01:02Is that Sean McGlynn or Sean Sweat?
01:05El Camino High School, that's our- Jordan.
01:07Do you feel pretty good about the Coraline Rikers that you inherited?
01:11Yeah, yeah.
01:11You even have Devin Bryant, you don't even have him.
01:13Right, right.
01:14He's kind of a hidden gem.
01:15Yeah, I'm very blessed to have some of the veteran leadership in my room.
01:20It makes it easier for me to install some concepts because there's a lot of
01:24time on task already.
01:26They're a very mature group, a group that has played a lot of snaps here at
01:30Washington and played in some really big games through their careers.
01:34So it's been an easy transition for me because of some of the veteran leadership
01:38that we have to accelerate some of the learning curve with the new schemes that
01:43we're installing.
01:43Did you ever-
